If you live near an ocean or a coast you wouldn't feel that nervous with all the moisture in the air and everything. If it rained we would've been lucky. I live near the Pacific Ocean in Ventura County, right near the P.O.. The fires didn't hit here but there was one once in Ventura on a hill but not as bad as this, waaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy smaller.
Malibu Area have a big time CURSE on it, I move out of Los Angeles in 2007 and now move into near Brownsville City also known as Southern California of TEXAS and Brand New homes here are still cheap for 3 bedrooms and 2 baths US$100,000-Brownsville & Harlingen are both growing big time- Tired of Smoke,Earthquake, pollution, fire n more

Bring the firefighters home! It's just too dangerous. They don't have the equipment they need. INNOCENT PEOPLE ARE DYING. They're in there on false premises anyway, to save Arnold's Hollywood buddies' homes. We were LIED TO! Arnold lied, people died! There's no way they can put out the fire. We can't win, and besides, fighting the fires, which we now know were caused by arsonists, will just create MORE arsonists. We need to stop meddling in the forests' business...that's why they hate us!

ty faggit animal rights activists, there are things called controlled burns, they've BEEN pushing for them, but NO NO NO NO, lets not hurt the california sparrow you tards, sorry, also who builds a home in HIGH FIRE THREAT AREA! lets go build a house on top of these oily rags.
Actually controlled burns is not the best solution.Occasionally the burns do get out of control and become very destructive wild fires. Cutting trees to creat fire breaks and introducing grazing animals to reducing the bushes is a more controllable way to reduce the risk of wild fire.We don't build houses on oil rigs. If fact people living in the concrete jungles are more likely to die from fires than people living in the suburbs.
The authorities in Southern California are unwise not to do enough to encourage people living in high risk areas to become volunteer firefighters before this devastating fire. Shortage of firefighters is one of the main reasons why so many homes are lost and the regular firefighters had to keep on fighting fire to the point of complete exhaustion while many able men had to evacuate to watch their houses burned down.
Churchill once said "Those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it." As true today as it was 65 years ago. This tragedy could have been prevented, provided that we learned from what happened 4 years ago.
The county is bankrupt; our firefighters are under-funded; everything is in dire need of repairs; and the politicians are more intent on making more money while everything around burns down. It's funny, though: this is still the best place on the planet.

The fires lasted a while now, I can conclude the following: - god intensionally let it happen - god does not exist - the fire is out of god's control - god doesn't listen to your prayers
My suggestion is, why don't the people who keep praying for their god try to do the African rain dance.

The rain is coming soon, and that will help big time. I am sure we will be getting your smoke here in Utah. Last time there were big fires there we got a lot of the smoke. Best of luck to you! And my prayers go out to you.
Thanks for the update, unfortunately I'm watching this from Iraq right now. My family is in the hills in Escondido near Fallbrook but haven't been evacuated yet. Hope you and your family in San Marcos will be alright.
Sign stay safe and keep us informed. Up here in LA the have closed off access to Malibu due the fires, it has destroyed 9 homes and a chruch already plus 2200 acres. They say it may take two to three days to contain it.
Positive thoughts and wishes for the Santa Ana's to lighten up. No news story regarding this subject packed the whollup like this one did. I hope this finds ya'll well and home, very soon.
Sign, I feel for you my husband and I have lived through many wildfires, always came out ok, thank Goodness, but had our things packed up and ready to evacuate a couple of times. Redbeard01 (hubby) used to fight wildfires for a living-now THAT was nerve racking! Be safe. My best to you and your son!
Thanks for letting me know Paul. CRAZY stuff out there. Hope he's safe and secure and that his place is safe in the face of impending disaster. Thanks and prayers for Tony's safety and all involved out in that mess.
AW you were evacuated?!? I'm sorry. I've kept the news on all day...I'm hoping that it doesn't travel to the part of San Diego where I live. I'm pretty close to where you are, I think. :/ Ugh. Good luck.
I was just talking to one of my friend's on yahoo while at work and she had to go because the evacuations were to her now. And they had evacuated her mom from a nursing home and she didnt even know where she was at now. What a scary thing to deal with. Hope you stay safe Tony.
We've been evacuated...I was on Stickam with Zipster08 and Paul1967uk when the "reverse 911" call came in for us to evacuate. We'll keep you informed as much as possible.
Take care of yourself and those you care about. BEST wishes for everyone involved there. Such devastation, such anxiety. Keep safe and we'll keep you in our thoughts.
Wow, that's so scary. We'll be thinking and praying that you and everyone else stays safe. Being an asthmatic myself, I can't imagine what that's like. :-(
Keep safe Tony and move out if you have to without delay. If and when the call comes to evacuate, do it and don't worry what's left behind. LIFE is far more valuable than stuff and yours is valued here. Take care of you and yours.
I been watching it on the news I can't believe its not under control yet my dad is a fire inspector he agrees he thinks it should be taken care of by now it had to be all the dry grass. Just be ready to go. Dont forget your Rosie O'Donnel Doll or That other one lol or maybe leave her behind shes not smart enough to live. lol
Tony, Please get out of there NOW. Better safe than too late. I am with Sue and others If you need some financial help just post it here . Please Please keep you and Joey safe. Keep us posted if you can.. Love Dolores
Be safe; I'm sure you're packed and ready to run; I pray for your safety, that of you, your family, friends and neighbors. take great care my friend and I pray your home will not be affected.
These fires are insane amigo. We're tracking the one's just north of us in the canyons, but I don't think they'll get too close. If you need anything we're just up the road in LA. Cheers, J.
Oh my gosh Tony! That is so scary. Keep us posted on how you are doing. Is your son with you? Prayers to you all...you will be in my thoughts today. Come to Minnesota -- no fires just cold as hell. Stay safe!
Stay safe Sign. I hope you have your windows closed to keep out the ashes. It is very smokey up here in Orange County also. Another fire just started this morning in Irvine and the wind is crazy. I wish it would rain. Peace :-)
Thanks for the video, I have a very good friend in Julian who lost her home in the Cedars fire in 2003. They had time to get out with what they could fit in a car, but she said there were so many things she wish she would have taken. Glad to have this update. STAY SAFE.
That is scary! Pack your important stuff and go now!!! I am terrified of wildfires breaking out where I am in NC. It has rained only once in the past 3 months. Everything is brown and crispy(even the grass). One spark and who knows how much would burn.
tony, good grief honey. i have been through that as well. we had a firemhere a couple of years ago that was knarly, burned up miles and miles. you are in my thoughts and prayers. love you ((tony)). take good care of yourself. stay safe hun.
Looking this from Paris — strange and sad mood ; I remember the light in California, and... I don't like this colours in the sky... sad days are coming ; take care.
perhaps it is time for you to come to San Francisco where the sky is ALL blue! Santa Ana winds, I remember them well, I am so glad I moved out of Southern California, all the ashes! Ugh! Get out now bello! ciao Reynaldo safe & sound in San Francisco Baby!
You are always welcome, Claushah as well! Kelley's Mom just called and they were evacuated from their home in Lake Arrowhead. They of course have been through this before! Hope everyone's insurance is up to date!
Tony....we're keep you and everyone involved in our pravers. I'm with Paul on this...if there should be any help needed financially, I'm here for you. :-)
Thank you, Sue...they've told us that when/if we evacuate, we are to go to the Delmar Fairgrounds....I've gotten offers from people north of us to stay with them...but the interstate is jammed up completely. There are a dozen fires around us. Yikes. No evacuation yet.
I'm SO sorry that this is happening to you. Please please please get out of the area until you're 100% safe. You should put a damp cloth over your face to avoid breathing in any more smoke too. Good luck.
Get ready to evacuate Tony! Wear masks too! That stuff in the air is NOT good! I was living there in the last big fire! If you need a place to go, PM me...:-)

Thanks for the video, I have a very good friend in Julian who lost her home in the Cedars fire in 2003. They had time to get out with what they could fit in a car, but she said there were so many things she wish she would have taken. Glad to have this update. STAY SAFE.

I've never seen anything like that before. That is incredibly scary. I would start packing just in case. Be careful.

That is scary! Pack your important stuff and go now!!! I am terrified of wildfires breaking out where I am in NC. It has rained only once in the past 3 months. Everything is brown and crispy(even the grass). One spark and who knows how much would burn.

You are always welcome, Claushah as well! Kelley's Mom just called and they were evacuated from their home in Lake Arrowhead. They of course have been through this before! Hope everyone's insurance is up to date!
