  • Thankfully the steel of this beautiful car has not ended up as a washing machine.

  • now thats what i call (pa) "TINA"

  • Why are today's cars so unnatractive??

  • @Streamliner009 Because they are soulless rubbish puked out by gigantic, bankrupt corporations to prop up a worldwide credit ponzi scheme.

  • Nice peaceful soundtrack. Hope you restore it too, almost looks like the Hudson in "Driving Miss Daisy"

  • its sad when real cars like that become rice burners

  • ...nice Hudson Ratter...put a 500ci super-charged Caddy(w/a wetNOx inj) engine w/a 2-speed track automatic tranz, liberated straight-pipes undr rockers & air-lockers on the diff'ntl. Air-bag suspension x4, 3-pce brushed aluminium/brass, s/s bolts, solid wheels 18"x 8" front 22"x12" rear. Replace all chrome w/hammered copper & brass, smoked glass all around, hammered aluminum w/riveted brass bracing interior seating & wood/copper dash, black iron & leather st'r-wheel -she would be 1 hot Hudson...

  • @SittingMooseShaman i say restore it 75% then flat black paint and lowered, thatd be a more than impressive enough lead sled

  • @zythepsarian ...good 'nuff as well...I'll say one thing about these cars tho'...they sure look like comics-become-real...like an R. Crumb comix from th' 60's...

  • @SittingMooseShaman hehe yeah

  • this video reminds me mafia 2 this is very great video i like it very much u did a good thing to save this car from crusher these car are are few so u should restore it and it will be the coolest car on the road...

  • How could ANYONE just throw that car away. It looks like it's in brilliant condition. The past owner probably saw some rust and called it junk. Are you going to fix it up?

  • Great period piece there - I think they used one of these in the original Godfather movie (black - of course)

Nice music too - enjoy it !

  • Good save. It makes it even more worth while to save a classic like this (or any classic) when all the glass is intact, it makes the restoration that much easyer.

  • video and music uncannily appropriate

  • Absolutely gorgeous, love the patina

  • Hope you get it back on the road soon!

  • woo hoo take that camrys!

  • Great job on saving the car from the crusher! All the best on getting her back on the road. She is beautiful.

  • Excellent car! So glad you saved it! All the best in your restoration!

  • looks you can easily sink $ 25,000 into this project ; ther end result will be 15,000 car , but it is still worth doing fr some reason......

  • Keep saving these from crushers since I can't save my dad's car :( (Though it's not a classic/vintage, but many memories were with that car.)

  • My grandfather has one.... dam they can go, espesially the supercharged ones

  • ALSO LOVE THE 72 ? FURY 2-DR IN THE BACKGROUND !!!

    GO MOPAR !!!

  • it doesnt matter if it takes 20 years to restore this car. you will be glad you saved it. Unlike a Camry, its unique, its cool, and its very rare and will only go up in value. Good save!

  • @SaveOldCars Thanks! I figured you'd probably like that one. I just scooped another old Chev; I'll try to get some video up soon!

  • Thanks everyone for the encouraging thoughts. I guess most people would think that buying all these old jalopies is a bit nuts, but its nice to hear from other car people that would do the same. I'm gonna keep saving what I can!

  • what a lovely car! thats always been one of my dream cars . im quite jealous actually, why can t i find something like that, and yes just fix it like it is so it will run well, etc. thank you very much for sharing

  • Definitely a car worth saving IMO.

  • Man, I love your taste in cars! well done for saving one of these awesome stepdowns! a pretty quick motor back in the day

  • @mrspivvy Thanks! I have a matching pair now. They are really good-looking units. Too bad mine are the 232 ci single-carb models, not the more desireable 308 ci twin-carb ones...still looks good parked in the yard, though.

  • It always pains me to hear about these beutiful old cars going to the crusher, Thank you for saving it.
