@KennyHibee1875 I think is sad. If you don't have the map pack it still shouldn't be a reason to change the game in such a way that can affect the gameplay by assigning the match to Host servers.

I play almost exclusively KOTH hill now so I haven't played all the knew maps on TDM yet, the only two being Anvil and Depths. Anvil was perfect, no spawn trapping at all; Depths was pretty good too, I have seen some but it was pretty easy to break. I imagine, though, if you had one or two guys sitting in the Digger/Torque area on Depths you could lock things down pretty well. I've also been fortunate enough to have not yet played on Escalation at all :D

@dudewithavideocamera Got to keep in mind that not because you didn't get spawn trapped mean it can't be done. It depends if it is the intention of the other team as well. I have a group of 7-10 people who are the ones who always roll out with me and we don't like to spawn trap even if given the chance- unless we are playing a bunch of dorks or loudmouths who talked trash before the match started. Point is, we think spawn trapping is just boring.

I don't get spawn trapped because I don't play TDM, I find TDM has to many casual players. I play execution (not anymore since warzone tainted it) and KOTH, because they have much better players on them, me and my team actually got a chance to play a couple teams at hype and even some members from the insanes on alpha yesterday, we did well but my team just isn't even up to the task of beating some mlg players.

Anvil is quite easy for spawn trapping. If you sit in the upper level right after spawn. Is close enough to keep the other team limited but not too close to force spawn switch.

Anvil is really bad for spawn trapping. People stand just outside the 3 routes out and it doesn't flip the spawns ever. It's really annoying.

Where you on servers this game or host? I have never played on any Fenix Rising map other than Anvil (whilst on servers), I have a theory that Anvil was originally the map Artillery, thus being a on disc DLC, hence why it is the only one that has transferred to servers, in the UK anyway :(

Anvil is quite easy to set up spawn traps, dont even need full teams, did it myself to see if it was possible. And a lot of whole teams camp sniper/ torque in academy which can be hard to break. Also am I the only one having problems killing the savage kantus character model?

Spawn trapping definitely exists on this map as there are only two exits from each spawn and you can have 2 guys watch each door. It is easier to break out of but it is still difficult with 2 or 3 guys using rifles. Especially on made side.

@XxLAxXLeGaCy False. Every playlist has dedicated servers. If you do not have the Fenix Rising DLC then you will be put on a player host for all playlist except Player's Choice. Player's Choice is the one playlist where you can be put on dedicated servers without having the DLC. If you have the DLC, then you will be put on a dedicated server on all playlists.

@MrBrightbutton He did a "re-up". It's like a Call Of Duty "prestige" where your level goes back to 1 after you've hit 100. Players can tell by the color of your numbers how many times you've re-upd. Red is after green, then blue I think.

I pretty much never get spawn trapped on any of the other maps (barring escalation) except the slab. I find it pretty difficult if the players are set up and I am by myself with poor teammates. because its a very flat map without much high ground.

can't say anything about the slab because i've only played koth & execution, but on the map anvil me & the people on play with were able to spawn trap nasn3 wilde and killa clutch( i think that nsan3 killa not sure though) for nearly half of the match of tdm but the eventually broke the spawn trap. but random people that arent pros you can spawn trap them the whole match if your a good enough 3 to 5 stack team.

@Beastul It doesn't. It has 2 lanes, and also the lanes aren't horizontal, they're vertical up the high ground giving 1 team an inherent advantage.

No problems with spawn trapping on any of the new maps except for Anvil... it has some definite spawn trapping problems, especially if you're playing by yourself against organised players. Escalation is actually kinda fun on king of the hill... although I've only played it once and it was a gnasher fest, so maybe that's why it was fun.

The Slab is the only map that I haven't played yet... But it looks really great. Actually I like all of the Fenix Rising maps (except Escalation) but they very, very rarly pop up in quick match. I think I've played Anvil KotH once and all the other maps only Execution (only mode I play ranked) so I can't say anything about Spawntrapping. But jeah.. really like them. Depth is probably my most fav but then again haven't played Slab yet :(

For those who don't know. The only game-type that now is not player hosted is "Players Choice" (ironically). TDM, KOTH, WM, CTL they are all player hosted, so expect to lag and expect to get shit on by a host from time to time. Thumbs up so people will understand and stop bitching.

I was playing with a friend and us and another teammate managed to spawn trap the opposing team on Depths for the entire round, they never managed to break out of it, and we sat far enough back to where the spawns wouldn't flip. I felt kind of bad, but whatever it takes to win I suppose.
