  • i don't always agree with him when it comes to more subte philosophical aspects of his thought, but i am facinated by west. he's brilliant and offers such freshness in political discourse because of his unique perspective.

  • What a marxist prick.

    Peter Schiff owned his ass.

  • @TimeWarp66 schiff did not "own his ass," he just repeated right-wing propaganda over and over again...

  • @TimeWarp66 pure bullshit peter schiff did not own his ass he just kept running his mouth and the video you watched is probably the one that got cut off watch the whole thing

  • My parents told me how awful Ronald Reagan's policies were. Obama is being condemened because he didn't clean Reagan-Bush jr's crap fast enough or good enough. He is being condemned the most by the white working class, conservative, libertarian, independent, and soft Democrats. Obama is too far ahead of his time. This country is still majority white, majority Christian, majority center-right, and majority racist.

  • @Mr40acresandamule You should stop drinking the Obama Kool-Aid; the man and his administration is nothing but a cover for the continuing expansion of the military-industrial-intelligence-financial complex. Maybe he is being condemned by so many people because he is screwing the nation over.

  • I find the "brother" talk disturbing. It smacks of elitism, and exclusion. Oh, to be a brother to Corny West! Still, overall I think he makes a lot of sense. He is affected, but so are many public people. It's the hoots and crap that follow much of his comments that is troublesome.

  • @mlcollins10 Calling all men brothers is elitist and exclusionary? Please explain yourself. He calls all men brothers.

  • @TheTaha108 I total aggree with you!, Also destroys the Spirit.

  • @AlexShrugged Yes, but not everything is production...

  • tea party represents creeping reagan politics back into heads of stupid republicans.

  • @halflifeproductionz History repeats itself, first as tragedy, second as farce.

  • @AlexShrugged

    "Cornel West is a Marxist"

Cornel West has described himself as a "non-Marxist socialist" due to his myriad of discrepancies with Marx on issues of religion, the nature of class struggle and Marx's analysis of historical events coupled with his rejection of dialectical materialism.

So no he's not a Marxist.

Not all Marxists are socialists (eg:Christopher Hitchens).

And most socialists are not Marxists.

  • how can u hate the truth?

  • @AlexShrugged Cornel west is alot of things, but he never was in love with a child murderer and never believed in sociopathic values. Objectivism is nothing more then a belief system for the freaks of nature. The true takers.

  • @AlexShrugged Yeah and ayn rand is a sociopath that was in love and admired a child murderer.

  • Research on the web after reading to prove or disprove. Cornel West, a Princeton University professor and leading black intellectual, is harshly criticizing President Obama, a candidate he once supported but now calls “a black mascot of Wall Street oligarchs and a black puppet of corporate plutocrats.” Cornel West "Barack Obama Is The Black Mascot Of The Wall Street Oligarchs"

  • Tavis Smiley is great !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Tell it brother!

  • @s4njuro You Tube does not allow criticism and block links from here Why?

  • Please look up on YouTube:

Dr. Cornel West & Carl Dix On Gay Marriage

Dr. Cornel West Urged To Run For President By Jeff4Justice

  • @AlexShrugged Yeah, you're probably right.

  • @Sammyjackson1488 That's the same thing the slaves wanted too and look what happened! If whites weren't so lazy and learn how to farm none of this would be going on.

  • I don't like West at all.

  • This man has helped me to become a better person. God bless him.

  • Brother West is one cool KAT. His speech borders on poetry full of knowledge and wisdom on democracy matters. Much respect for Brother West for he knows his stuff-the real history and facts that special interests don't want us or our children to know about.

  • STATES rights is a code word for racism? face palm.

  • @greenghost2008 Go google it

  • This is one thing I found out about Black Speakers with intelligence: They speak mostly from the heart and lack the need of having a sheet of paper or telecommunication. It's as if the loud voice naturally in black people held its reasons through history.

  • I wish he was right when he said that the age of Reagan era politics was over with Obama. Our current President's economic strategy matches many of beliefs of Reagan.

  • Tavis, I want you to publish my book! Let's form a partnership. Please contact me! My book is really good! I want to talk to you!

    C Oliver

  • I like Cornel West.

  • went to Jr High with him, class of 1969

  • When I listen to Dr Cornel West Speak it reminds me of what my purpose is in life along with Dick Gregory these guys are my inspiration. To keep on pushing on no matter what....

  • His anecdote about visiting Governor Reagan as a youth is most likely completely fictitious, and it is, at best, dramatized beyond recognition. Cornel West should probably seek counseling, he obviously has a deep-seeded paranoia and racism.

Wake up, people, the world is not out to get you. Instead of feeling sorry for yourselves and listening to ignorant blather like this, get out and make a difference.

  • @mikeisildur You are you talking to bumblefuck? Yeah Al Qaeda wasn't out to get the USA on 9/11 either.

  • @mikeisildur

I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired of you whites getting on black sites and whining, get your ass off & out and make a difference too.

  • I like to celebrate their stupidity. They hate America and are the onlt group that will still vote 95% Democrat, when all other groups are smart enough to put their racism and other hatreds aside when it comes to saving America. All groups are turning away from Obama because they have taken the time to learn what is going on in the world around them. Black folks will cut their own throat before they would reach out to any other race, but they demand empathy from everyone else.

  • @lousinup So you apparently aren't in one of these "other groups... smart enough to put their racism and other hatreds aside" are you? Can't "you people" avoid contradicting yourself in even one sentence? And fuck Obama. People are turned away from him because he's compromised too much with the right wing haters of all things American, like yourself.

  • @hamnose All the Republicans have become Liberal. It's just Liberals compromising with Liberals. Obama is still communist. Democrat party has the racists, kkk heritage. Black immigrants are stand up people. Black people are cool as long as they are not from here. They refuse to embrace America.

  • @lousinup Oh and fuck you too.

  • @lousinup

    SHUT UP DUMMY!

  • @lousinup Black people love Democracy and the American Ideal- They don't like racists who try to stand in between them and the equal and fair treatment. Most people like you are historically illiterate and have poor critical thinking skills, so it is going to be a real pleasure to read your response to my comments. I bet you say something stupid - Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!

  • @jimboedwardlee ha ha, Liberals do love Democracy because it is the the first step to socialism. We are a Republic and we can thank God fearing men that were truly educated for creating America. Our founding fathers did a tremendous job of researching ancient governments and with God's anointing, they created our Constitution. America is not a Democracy and what have you said that would indicate that you know anything about Americas history? I read books like you watch the Jerry Springer show.

  • @lousinup Hey Einstein- do you think you are educating me by asserting that the US is a Republic? You aren't. When I said Black people love Democracy - I was referring to the democratic ideal not the actual structure of the US government. That why I wrote the initial sentence the way that I did. You cannot win an argument with me about the nature of our government, so don't waste your time. You are not saying anything that I don't already know - Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!

  • @jimboedwardlee In other words you live in a fantasy land of ideals. I reside in the real world that you refer to as "actual structure". I'll let you go so you can hop back on your unicorn and go chase some rainbows. You can stick that Democracy up your bloody and abused azzhole! ya fruitcake! Leave my Republic alone. LOL HA HA and HA!

  • @lousinup Based upon your comments - YOU are AFRAID! You cannot engage in a real debate about democracy, republicanism, or American history. You still haven't acknowledged that you misrepresented my comments about democracy. You seem stuck to a point about Republicanism. Is this the best you have? Your insults are funny because I can trade insults with the best of them. I was hoping that you would bring a strong argument to the table. I don't think you have one. Typical - Ha! Ha! Ha!

  • @lousinup C'mon Bitch -- lets have it out over Republicanism-- I doubt if you even know how the United States government and Constitution were formulated. My guess is that you are the typical Rightie-dumb fuck who throw words around that they don't understand- Constitution, Republic, Rights, Freedom. For you guys - these words are slogans- but you don't know the history of these words and how they are applied to the Constitution-government structure-or our Federal laws. Cmon bitch tell me.

  • @lousinup I welcome your debate about what the United States is or is not, but I question your reading comprehension skills because you couldn't even ascertain the meaning of my opening sentence. "Loving Democracy and the American Ideal" in no way implies any statement about the structure of the United States government. I don't think this is going to be much of a conversation. The fact that you thought I was claiming the US is a "democracy" from my sentence - makes me wonder......

  • What a jive-ass nigger!

  • Im sorry, but the Reagan era is still on going even under Obama

  • @Manolo1013 --yes

  • "We must face the fact that the preservation of individual freedom is incompatible with a full satisfaction of our views of distributive justice."- Friedrich Hayek

  • What crap. It is the Leftists, of which West is obviously a member, who are the vicious ones in terms of politics and economics. They would enslave, and are enslaving, everyone by force of their governments for the sake of the poor, the environment or whatever pseudo cause they champion as a means to their ends of the same old Marxian Socialism. Reagan was bad, to the degree that he agreed with West that government should be a controlling, regulating, redistributing enterprise.

  • @rickv404 he is NOT talking about governmental control over people. he's just talking about fairness towards everyone and not just a few. there is genuine love in what he talks about. he cares about all human life, not just here in the US. corporations are the problem because they're only about profit.

  • @rickv404 Hey guy- let me ask you - Do you even know what Socialism is? Lots of you righties throw around words that you don't even understand. You cannot even have intelligent conversation. Do us a favor and show some intelligence for once.

  • Comment removed

  • cornel west and christopher hitchens are the smartest theists i know

  • It is a shame that Regan didn't say anything about the epdemic of AIDS or apheid in Africa.

  • @Dramactica it was sad, and reagan wasnt a rabid bigot but he was just indifferent. and all that evil needs to triumph is for good men to do nothing.

  • @anthonymbichara

I know. I really piss me off that many people saying he is the best. he wasn't really. some people put too much hype on the guy. Goldwater was the one bringing back conservatism not Regan. It shows how overrated he is.

I admit he was better than the two Bushs (father and son). But Eisenhower is the best Republican presient.

  • @Dramactica eisenhower was a very good president but of course we forget that A. Lincoln was one of the best presidents, R or D, ever. we also have great dems like truman, kennedy, and lbj. and we have awful dems like woodrow wilson and jimmy carters lack of leadership, and we have awful republicans like nixon and dubya. reagan is kinda neutral in that he assisted in defeating the USSR but the natioanl deficit when his presidency ended was 3 trillion+

  • @anthonymbichara

For Me, JFK was the last really true american president, because he exposed the truth about the new world order and secret socities.

  • the problem with conservatives is their indifference to the poor and their absolute determination to maintain the status quo of the bourgoise.

  • @anthonymbichara

I agree. I see the same thing.

  • @anthonymbichara and the problem with Liberals is their indifference to individuals actually being individuals and being successful at that. Also, in general, Liberals = more government control over it's citizens, Conservatives = less. So, as they say, the truth lies somewhere in the middle.

  • @Polamalu4MVP well i recall jack kennedy, someone who conservatives are now trying to claim as their own, saying that you can't protect the few rich without tending to the needs of the many who are poor.

  • @anthonymbichara Yea. I'm actually pretty moderate. That's why I said the truth probably lies somewhere in the middle. The only fair way to tax is to have a flat tax rate, the government really doesn't need as much tax money as they lead us to believe they do. So, a poor person should pay 10% of his/her earnings, and so should a rich person pay 10% or whatever of theirs. Because 10% of any millionaire's earnings is still a good chunk of money.

  • @Polamalu4MVP you're dumb

  • Anybody who denies the GOP's race baiting, research the GOP's souther strategy

  • Do not let Dr. West fool you with his rhetoric. He is a marxist. He supported the Black Panthers, who killed police officers, and Louis Farrakhan, an avowed anit-Semite.

  • @SynysterSl4yer

What is your point? Regan didn't do anything on miniorties. He was against the civil rights in 1964.

  • Well, if you must hear from me; I'll tell you I luv this guy. He is such a gentleman. I could clone him for days. There, you have it. Now, who wants to play?

  • @TheTaha108 I think Brother West does not condone the violence or hatred of any group. I'm reading his book Democracy matters. He is very sensitive to the struggles of working white people and Jews as well as the plight of blacks and latinos. Empire does not just destroy the black man; it destroys the brown the red and yellow and yes even the white man too

  • @bluesboy25000 Cool! I am saying at some point you have to see beyond crayola marks. Then, dare to speak what you see.

  • @bluesboy25000 Great book! I liked it. And I did a review of DEMOCRACY MATTERS.

  • @bluesboy25000 - Absolutely true.

  • what a load of crap

  • Reagan used policies to damage the black community. War on drugs mantra, law and order, unfair justice department policies.

  • I don't think he loves ideas as much as he loves performance.

  • Pastor Wright doesn't have to leave. He has the right to condemn those held accountable. I'm not a racist by any means I just honor integrity. Look at history and how white men have continued their quest for world domination. Destroying any nationality and race in their way. They've corrupted history with lies to mislead the people. Let's be honest here people Native Americans, African Americans, Arabs, and Asians. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck well damnit its a duck!

  • @cheezmfi yea what happened to the indians was bad, but africans were sold by other africans to white people, they enslaved their own kind and then made profit on them. white people just seized the oppurtunitiy. and as far as arabs and asians... they attacked us first, so obviously they deserve what they got. we didnt try to conquer them, they attacked us and we attacked back.

  • @thesocalcountryboy How did they attack us first? Study the facts! If you're speaking on Pearl Harbor study how the Rothchild fam gave incentives to the Japanese to bomb Pearl Harbor. The initial goal was to get the US into the WWII for profit. Every war has a hidden agenda MONEY.Roosevelt continued to avoid the war until the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. The Arab nation and war LMAO. Osama Bin Laden worked for the CIA. In fact he was supplied by the US during the Soviet vs Afgan war.

  • Saddam Hussein LMAO was appointed by the Reagan admin to over throw the regime. Listen dude I love your patriotism but study! I'm an ex service man and I cringe each time I think bout pledging that despicable flag. This is a sick nation since the foundation. Oh and by the way Roosevelt sold your freedom to capitalism during the birth of the Federal Reserve Act. The Great Depression was a prelude to Bernie Madoff. It was a hoax for profit just like the current economic meltdown... STUDY FIRST

  • Very well spoken from the mind and spirit of a great man. Lawrence isn't sleep he's just an ignorant Reagan supporter who can't handle truth. HIS former president is notarized for the demise of a just monetary system and also the gangster who pushed drugs into black communities. Well said Dr. West... Wake up!

  • Well spoken Mr. West, good man

  • zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • Wake up

    Don't Sleep on Mr. West

  • @nicktherupper Good point

  • THANK YOU CORNEL WEST, I wish YOU were my president! I truly admire Cornel, he is my hero! He is truly the most moral, compassionate, man that I have ever listened to!

  • @brightonmusic educate me, how are they domestic terrorists.

  • I'm not sure what the striking differences between the `age of Obama' and the `age of Reagan' are supposed to be. They're showing up rather similarly, as best I can tell.

  • @jhip87 Good Comment. It will be interesting to see..

  • States rights is codeword for racism? Wtf?!?! That is retarded, I hate Ronald Reagan, but states rights is codeword for racism? That is stupid.

  • he's not referring all states rights as racism, but the "states rights" of that time in the south.

at that time a lot of people in the government at a state level were trying to maintain many of the laws that today would be deemed very racist, and in order to keep those laws they would do would use "states rights" to try and push their agenda

  • The same could be said about the federal government. It wasn't the government that changed the laws, it was the people. There are still many racist laws today, but the federal government upholds them.

  • @gr33nl4nt3rn exactly. It was racism under the guise of states rights

  • @JonnieDarko69 why is it stupid?

  • States rights refers to the states having more governing power than the federal government. Tell me how that translates into racism. I know the racist history of the US, but I do not see how transferring more power to the states is gonna bring back jim crowe.

  • Years ago people like the Rev. Jesse Jackson protested when the blue-eye devils where in power in South Africa. Well, the blue-eye devil is no longer in power in South Africa and things are worse. Where is the protest?

  • @haboreh just like with the Hutu and Tutsi, there has to be healing. Belgium came in and pitted the nations people against each other. Based on genetics, or appearance. Well when they left, the hatred that these people lived in their entire life erupted. Things sometimes need to get worse before they get better.

  • JaePhoenix7, again, you may have misunderstood my previous posts. Im not suggesting that anyone be thrown out of the Unite States. Im not suggesting that anyone should leave. What I am saying is this. People like the Rev. Jeremiah Wrong are constantly pointing out how bad America was/is but yet he wont leave. Why? Why wont he leave?

  • Extremists are everywhere. Dismal psychopathic ideology is everywhere. Do we export every person who preaches negativity? There is nothing wrong with pointing out social or governmental issues abroad. What is more important is that we give constructive criticism, and help work towards a better America. Hate speech will never help anyone.

  • JaePhoenix7, the Rev. Jeremiah Wrong is by his own admission a communist. So, why wont he move to a place like Cuba? Im sure he and Castro will be very happy together.

  • He is? I didn't know he was a communist. Can you send me a link to that info? Do you have concrete, non-debatable substantial evidence?

  • There are many links on the Web that can be found where the Rev. Wrong openly advocates Liberation Theology and more specifically Black Liberation Theology. Liberation Theology is nothing more than communism and that is also well documented.

  • specifically which link are you referring to. I would rather view your sources instead of finding conflicting ones. BTW you never answered my question about your ethnicity.

  • There are many people that dont like me because of my ethnicity. Some of these people work for me. They can go on not liking me all they want. They are still under me. I dont play the victim.

  • @haboreh What is your ethnicity.

  • People like Prof. Gates, Louise Farrakhan and Van Jones like to play the victim as an excuse to cover up the fact that they are losers.

  • Its disheartening that this incident took place. Professor Gates' body of work alone is staggering.

  • member351, youre not listening. I never said that there wasnt racism in the United States and in world today. Im saying: dont use that as an excuse. Stop playing the victim.

  • Racism is a part of life and exists wherever there are people. For example, India has the caste system in which Indians descriminate against other Indians based on social classes. In other words, its not just a black & white thing.

  • People like Van Jones, Louise Farrakhan, Rev. Jeremiah Wrong and others like them believe that everything that happens to them in life is because of their skin color or ethnicity. This is called an inferiority complex.

  • My ancestors were slaves 3000 years ago. But, what the hell does that have to do with whether or not Im successful in life?

  • if nothing else slavery and jim crow gave whites a head start.

  • Years ago civil rights activists such as the Rev. Jesse Jackson came out against the blue-eye devil minority running the South African apartheid government. Well the blue-eye devil is no longer in power in South Africa and now things are worse in that country. But where is the protest?

  • Ive often wondered why many blacks such as this clown think America is so bad but yet wont leave. Why is that? Why wont they move back to Africa?

  • Well thats a good question haboreh. I am black and sometimes I wonder the samething. With the amount of knowledge we gather from western civilization. why don't we go and restore Africa. alot of africa is very corrupt. Theres noway we can bring order through politics we got to do it by force.same way the whites did when they came to america. And nobody has that type of power. Question is, if we did go to africa, would america help to bring control ??? I dont think so, they show poor effort now.

  • @numerical25 Which area of Africa are you referring to? Some cities are doing very well, while others are almost non-existent. You must understand that Africa has been historically raped of its resources for ages. It is the birthplace of mankind, yet I wonder if it will ever recover. Scholars used to come to Africa, study at its universities, visit its great cities. Now the precious scrolls of Timbuktu are being sold on the black market.

  • besides, if it wasnt for black people. america would not live up to what it was suppose to be. To be free, and equality for all man kind.

  • numerical25, I think that perhaps you may have misunderstood my original point. Im not suggesting that African Americans should be forced to leave the US. Im not suggesting that African Americans should leave the US. My point is this.. people like the Rev. Jeremiah Wright think America is so evil then why wont he leave?

  • @haboreh Black Americans are just as much intertwined with the US as anyone else. It would be impossible to export Black America. African Americans however, who were born in Africa, are some of this countries finest minorities.Black Americans have diverse backgrounds ranging the Anglo, Latin, French, and Native American spectrum. How do you export a distant cousin?

  • I know that America is not a perfect democracy but show me an African country thats better.

  • Well you got a point, but not just black people think america is evil. I know white people and people with all nationality that think the same way about america. Should they leave. Matter of fact, there has been alot of white people that have left to either canada or europe for those same reasons. Watch Sicko, everybody on there is white. I dont think jeremiah wright thinks america is evil though. I think he thinks politicians are corrupt. and they are. Watch CNN's "Follow The Money" segment.

  • @haboreh What does Africa have to America? Is that an Ad-hominem on American Blacks by using Africa,a continent by and large that is culturally disassociated from Black America, as a scapegoat to paint the cause for true Democracy in America as a trifling measure?

  • @haboreh Show me a country (period) that is "better". How do you judge that? By debt to income ratios? Freedom, Gold, or opportunities?

  • Cornel can flip it faster than you can spit it!

    Don't be jealous. =)

  • he was a deadly president.....racist, supported aparthied, free market philosiphy catered to the rich, etc.....

  • Don't forget homophobic!

  • You go Mr. West. Reagan bigots can't stand the truth!

  • throughout history in the american culture there have been scape goats. First the natives then the negros then the asians and the jews in the music business and now the arabs. It seems that whenever it seems another group of people are doing well we say the are the cause when really if we work just as hard we can be in the same place of existence. I guess it more a factor of work ethic and up bringing. I dont know thats just what i get from the video.

  • He just said christians hate jews,

A christian nation gave jews a jewish nation

after the jewish people exaggerated deaths through the years,

numbers still growing to this day.

every christian i meet defends the jewish people and the state of isreal given it's in their prophecy(as if it's not just christians themselves creating prophecy),

I as an atheist don't care for either of those groups

lying and stealing to get what they want

from others, pissing of muslims so they attack Zionist US.

  • I hate Mr.West

not that I disagree with him all the time,

Like right now he is saying Regan was a nice guy,

    but made bad policies,

when in fact Regan was just a face for american auto parts

and that related into being the face of america and the presidency, but everyone knows his gang of policy makers

where the real people in control he was just the face selling it...

west is an idiot in that he lives in this magic world

that he has made for himself

  • I was in Jackson Square New Orleans in 1972. I was a white Canadian hippy. Two black guys in leather coats and berets walked up to me and asked in a friendly manner. "Are you hip to the Black Panther Party?" I said, "You mean Eldridge Cleaver and Bobby Seale?" They both grinned from ear to ear, and one said, "I knew he was a brother." We talked politics, discussed Soul on

    Ice, and became friends.

  • I can't wait until most people in this generation are dead s the rest of us can move on without seeing everything in the prism of race.

  • Read: "Living Without God" by Aronson

  • Shame on all of those who take comfort in Cornel West's words and shame on all of you who take comfort in racist sentiments like that. He is using a psychological trick that redefines the Black Panthers nothing more than a neighborhood watch. Thats like me saying the KKK are merely nothing more than innocent salvation army members when it comes to disaster relief. Nonesense, shame on all racially motivated groups as though race it has any bearing on individual strengths or weaknesses.

  • Really? You're going to compare the KKK with the Black Panthers? You, sir, are a moron.

  • There is no question that they are both racial supremecist groups, to say that they arn't is to miss the point.

  • i agree with mysterymanolove. both are racial supremecist groups, both murdered innocent people because of their skin color, both believed in separation of the races. and the black panthers would say "to HellWithBLACKpoverty" not to HellWithALLpoverty

  • "both are racial supremecist groups."

I disagree. The Black Panther movement was a result of the deep sense of alienation that many African-Americans felt and was formed to help assist inner city blacks. I understand those that criticize some of their positions, but they were not anti-white. The KKK, in contrast, was formed to restore white supremacy.

  • @MysteryManoLove How many people did the Black Panther Party lynch? And how many more blacks did the KKK lynch, in the name of white supremacy and christianity?

  • The Black Panthers hate America, Cornel West is dilusional. They are a black supremacist group, not an "out reach" group that protects people from getting beaten by the police. No, you listen to they have to say and tell me that the Black Panthers are not a threat to America, miltant, propaghandist, in hatred against all white people in the United Stated. This "black is beautiful" thing has got to stop, "EVERYONE is beautiful" in their own way.

  • and the goldstone report makes it very clear that BOTH sides are guilty of war crimes, and that BOTH sides are responsible for provoking the conflict

  • While I agree that law enforcement power needs to be kept in check, the notion that "state control" is code for "white racism" is ridiculous.

  • Cornel West is his own biggest fan. Black intellectuals must, as a whole, reject the culture of victimhood. Only then will people like West actually have to get real jobs. They certainly won't be able to peddle this pernicious nonsense in our Universities anymore. It's a poverty that these angry men are allowed anywhere near the levers of power in education.

  • @LuckyPierre78 I hear a lot of folks saying that they are lifetime learners. You should catch on. Let me help you for now, This gentleman is not named "these angry men." I understand that Mr. Cornel West has many accredited Phds and he didn't get it from me. Try and receive the diversity that is a reality of today bef. However, I can tell that you are the kind of gentleman that wants everything your way. Well, take the sheet off your face boy; it's a brand new day!

  • @TheTaha108 I had a hard time understanding the point of your rambling scrawl, but I get the distinct feeling you don't even know what "diversity" is or what it portends. Though I must ask: should anyone really be unequivocally impressed with the man's degrees? Many ridiculous little men hold those. He's a product of the far-left radicalism that has permeated American academia for years; it's no big secret. But of course I'm a racist, or worse, a klansman for disagreeing with his point of view.

  • why the hell is this crack head on youtube?

  • Ellaborate

  • in what ways? economically, both were equally bad and equally unconservative (with the exception of regulations). they ran up the debts and increased US trade deficits, they cut taxes for only the super rich while middle class gains stagnated under both.

socially, they both were prepared to through gay civil rights under the bus for electoral gains.

in fact, you could say bush was better because he actually included an unprecedented number or minorities to cabinet and increased aid to africa

  • I'm sorry but Obama didn't have anything to do with the downfall of the Republican party, that's all Bush right there. By acting like a Conservative. He showed he's true colors( Globalist, Bankers' puppet ) his second term.

  • hamas does good things. hezbollah does good things. doesn't mean that they are aren't also terrorists. same applies to the black pathers.

  • normally I like Dr West, but I am no fan of intellectual dishonesty and I saw it on display here

  • Riiiiight.

I just bet you're a fan of "Dr West"...what with yr favoriting of Gingrich, Cavuto, Thomas Sowell, Milton Friedman, Peter Schiff, Ron "Don't expect me to know anything about the racist garbage in my Ron Paul Newsletter" Paul, & the laughably awful Ayn fucking Rand.

Sure, the work and activism of a Cornel West would have obvious appeal to a lover of knucklehead bullshit like yrself.

Hilarious that your phony slag here is on grounds of "intellectual dishonesty"'.

  • oh you got me there, I am clearly not a neo liberal or neo socialist, but I wasn't lying. I enjoyed Dr West on Real Time, and on many TV appearances, and I am a fan, but I am a student of history, and current affairs. His jab at Christian societies for their treatment of jews was specious. Jews have had persecution in athiest societies, muslim societies, and other social constructs including Christian ones. that is intellectual dishonesty.

you called me out, I had to bring the pain.

  • What? Jews have faced persecution in Christian societies, an old persecution. How is it intellectual dishonesty, when discussing a Christian society, to not include mention to Muslim societies?

  • because Jews didn't face persecution exclusively in Christian societies, but in many the world over. though the chronicles of Zion were first written while there were christians in Russia, it was the communists who mass published and shared that supposed "document" worldwide. My point is it's like saying Americans won world war 2 when really it was the coalition of the brits, other Euros, the canucks and the soviets who did it all together.

  • in short its just like americans to focus on an issue only in the areas it relates to them as opposed to the big picture, the reality of what happened. Not some sound bite, but the truth.

  • I understand Dr West's point of view and though I don't agree on everything with him, I find him entertaining and enlightening. that is why I said what I said, because it was an act of intellectual dishonesty. Its like folks who decry Eurpoean slavery of Africans without calling out Arabic and middle eastern slave trade in Africa that predated and postdated European slavery. We are all responsible for learning for ourselves and I know he knows better.

  • Seriously? Intellectual dishonesty? He's talking specifically about US politics, not world politics. The US is a country where 90%+ of the population is country. How intellectually dishonest of him not to mention the persecution of Zoroastrians in Iran or Buddhists in Maoist China, or to mention that fishermen often fish in the sea. I mean, it doesn't matter if its off topic, right?

Seriously, your rationalization is one of the most convoluted things I've ever read.

  • yes seriously, Dr West while including Jews in his list of agrieved groups, he specified that Jews always face bigotry in a christian society when that is only part of the story. If he simply said they face bigotry in the states I wouldn't have spoken up, but zeroing in on Christian society when they face as much if not more in non- Christian societies, is an act of intellectual dishonesty. I don't expect you to agree, but that is how I see it.
