  • I bought this 45 in Australia way back when it first released. "made it" here.

  • I adored him still do :) thank you for playing this song

  • Have always loved this song. Thanks.

  • Good on you Paul, I still love just as much as when you first released.

  • This is a rare stereo version.

    That's C P Spencer of the Originals at 2:39

  • This is a classic example of the many brilliant songs that have somehow been neglected in the major worldwide charts, while so many other lesser songs have been successful. So much luck and circumstance involved. Anyway, for mine this is pure magic, and I always enjoy hearing it again. Thanks for posting. Wayne

  • this song reminds me in 1968 I had dog name sandy she was a sandy color so nice she die of cancer she died in 1975 yes its was long go but I was sick in 1972 she stayed by my side for months. then in 1974 I had an accadent there she was there she was by my side.then she got sick and I could not be by hier side.

  • This is a little bit of underrated little heard gold. One of the truly GREAT tracks from the late 50's /early 60's.

  • my mothers name was "sandy" . she had just started flying . Her 1st solo flight when this song came out....her name was ..sandra king of north carolina/charlotte..iam her daughter.. vanda123@myway.com

  • my mum named me after this song, thank you :)

  • Great song, brings back memories

  • My dad asked me to find this song for him, it took me a while but i found it! We're from Australia.

  • This is a fantastic song! It was the first 45 I ever bought.

  • @physiokes why didnt you have some sense and go for the established acts like the four tops or the other negro groups at motown ..insted of this crap

  • @matakuazable What..all you taste in your mouth? Dolt!!

  • @physiokes I got a Sears record player when I was a kid of about 7. My Dad bought a stack of cut out 45s at the same time. I wore this record out. The other side is great too.

Interesting coincidence: Sandy was the call sign for the a-1 Skyraider in Vn. They were low level prop driven support aircraft for Air Rescue. They have since been replaced by more modern aircraft, but they were some of the toughest planes in the world. You can see a bit of what they did in "Flight of the Intruder."

  • This was a chart sucess in Australia, though- got to #17 on the charts.

  • This is a great song -- very catchy!

  • Many thanks for posting a real motown rarity

  • this song must be for meee!

    love it

  • Love this song and had the biggest crush and still do on him....lol....thanks for posting.

  • I loved this song as a kid. Took me years to find it on CD.

  • Cool sound - I wasn't even born when this was recorded...

  • I can remember this being played a lot on the Tony Blackburn breakfast show.(when Radio 1 was worth listening to!!!)
