  • RIP Suzie.

    Suzie passed away today. (11/13/2010)

She was loved by the whole family.

Thank you to all those who added nice comments to this video.

    She will be missed.

  • rofl! it's like a dog!

  • Aww. She's lovely.. do ducks make good pets?

  • @Whiteblooded yeh there great outdoors not so much indoors they produce alot of poop they also dont have a anal spincter musles so when they have to go they do.. they cant control it like a cat or a dog or us...so they cant be trained to use litter trays even though they are clever enuff to be trained......outdoors is best but fox's and such like love to kill them

  • @1ukjunglednbraver I dunno... Suzie seemed to be able to "hold it" when my grandfather got up in the morning he had to let Suzie out first thing and she would walk a bit outside and then just explode the poop. We still put papers down at night for her though.

  • What the hell is wrong with its face?!

  • Awww how cute she is wagging her tail ohhh thats so cute!

  • She seem to wag her tail when she is happy or excited much like a dog. If you say her name she wags, if you have her food in your hands she wags when she sees you.

  • she seems very happy. it shows you love your animals and treat em with respect and care.

  • Does the tail movement mean it's happy? Like a dog?

  • oh i used to have 2 of those ducks but they died

  • because you sat on them

  • discusting moscovy.... have that turkey looking ducks.

  • awwe look at the tail wagging (:

  • I know my ducks well. This one you have here is what is known as a muscovy duck. Did you know that?

  • Beautiful duck!!! I wish i knew what kind mine are. I just got them like two weeks ago.

  • she is not very potty trained ... she needs papers to be put down but if she goes potty first you can let her wander for a while. She likes to go on papers as opposed to the floor.

When she is nesting she won't go all night until you let her out in the morning ... then watching out cuz she explodes.

  • What kind of duck is?

  • muscovy

  • My aunt in the Crimea plants such ducks. We them name like "indaytki" ^^

  • @knitkat

I head that this breed can climb trees. Is that true?

  • @KnittingPasta I have not seen then in a tree but she would go all over the place so it wouldn't surprise me

  • Does she not potty on the floor? Can you potty train them?

  • I am sure you can find another duck.

  • i want a male muscovy

  • i like muscovys beacuse they wag there tails

  • aahhhh! she's so happy! they wag their tails like a dog when they're happy! SHE is beautiful! Don't ya love 'em?

  • you need to join a group I belong to called PDRU (pet ducks R us) It is a yahoo group. Very good info for pet ducks, or if you have questions :) That is a beautiful muscovy!!

  • Looks like Suzie knows a good thing when she finds it. Glad she found good human friends. Cute video.

  • Ducks are cool.

  • Mine was a drake - got pretty big, like a goose! Outgrew the kiddie pool. Kept outside after about a year old. Loved plucking Japanese beetles off the bushes. I fed him cracked corn as a main diet and he ate almost anything from french fries to grapes. After a few years, retired him to a friends farm that had other ducks and a large pond. He probably like all that water better then a little kiddie pool.

  • Suzie likes corn but she even eats things like moles and mice ... creepy when you see her do it. It's like watching a mini T-Rex eat

  • lol this duckds we have at school and tere what do you call it fastly irtedit.

but what about duck shit does she do it outside or see needs to be walked like a dog?

    ps sory for spelling faults

  • do they bite

  • sometimes she nibbles but it is not like she has teeth ... sometimes she likes to grab your pant leg when you pass her but not hard.

  • kinda like a dog ... you would have thought ducks would eat things like corn and seeds and stuff ... but it loves to eat things like crickets and bugs... and other things... she comes in by herself and goes up the stairs and she even seems to know what you are saying sometimes

  • are they an "outdoor only" pet? can u have one live in a house all its life, cuz if wanted one too.

  • suzie lives mostly indoors although in the summer she likes to go outside most of the day :)

  • I've always wanted a duck! What's it like having one around?
