Even though the jump attack is the same as 'Splosion Man, there are several noticeable differences.

1. MaXplosion has a health indicator (color of head) which takes more than 1 hit (at most 3) before he is defeated.

2.MaXplosion cannot recharge his blast jumps until he reaches to the ground unlike 'Splosion Man where you can recharge blast jumps by touching the ground or walls.

This is more of an inferior clone with levels requiring backtracking with nothing before the next section.
