  • Hey, New York should put a wax figure of him at the wax museum at 42nd. He's the Yankee Legend too.

  • yankees all day ev er ey day you know it son

  • mariano is expected to play the 2009 season after undergoing surgery on his right shoulder. Lets hope he does!!! YANKEES all day ev er ey day

  • thats got to be intimidating for opposing teams

  • (no homo) I love Mariano so much he is so awesome. Even now that I am losing my interest in sports I love him. Great closer and person. God bless him!

  • All with 1 pitch, they know whats coming and cant do nuthin' about it, Mo's the Man

  • mariano is awesome!!!!

  • marian is amazing

  • A video dedicated to domination... i cannot love it anymore.. its a shame this year how to turn out the way it did.

AND to boot, turns out mariano has been playing with tendinitis all season. Another slap in the face to everyone who doubts mr rivera. He dominated WITH an injury.

YANKEES FTW, MARIANO FTW, (JETER/POSADA FTW TOO =D)

  • Hes the best closer of all time. No ones as good as him get at his level

  • is it true this is his last year my friend told me i didn't want to believe him

  • my friend told me this might be his last year is it true i didn't want to believe him

  • lmfao papelbon sucks dick compared to mariano

and that little bitch gave up 1 or 2 runs in the all star game this year and hes saying hes better than marino? thats too funny

    yankees all day

  • Go Yankees! Stay with us Rivera, we need u here!

  • mos a beast yankees rock fucku boston fans die in hell

  • Papelbon well never be MO and never reach the success of mo so don't start some stupid shit.

  • Mariano on the other hand will be in the hall of fame, memorial park, and also have is number retired for the yankees most likely less than a year after he retires.

  • I cant wait to see you in Cooperstown Mariano. I can point at your picture and say "and there is the greatest baseball closer ever"

  • No doubt he's a great closer, but come on! Give us more than 1 inning! Sutter, Fingers, Eckersly, Goose...those guys did 2 sometimes 2 3 innings. They were much better

  • i am an panamenian and he and manny corpas both are great pitchers

    VIVA PANAMA

  • The greatest closer Ever! I cant wait to see you in the Hall of Fame near Jeter and A-rod Mariano :)

  • fuck all the ass hole red sox fans who are like hahaah he sucks papelbon is the best ever ! FUCK YOU MO IS BY FAR THE BEST EVER PAPS HASNT EVEN PLAYED LONG AND U ARE SAYIN HE IS THE BEST FUCK THAT DUDE DID U SEE HIS #S PLAYOFF ERA .8 THATS INSANE 4 WORLD SERIES AND AS CLUTCH AS U CAN GET GO YANKS AND MO

  • ¸¨°º¤ø„¸¸„ø¤º°¨¸„ø¤º°¨

    ¨°º¤ø„¸ i R0CK! ¸„ø¤º°¨

    ¸„ø¤º°¨ ``°º¤ø„¸

    ¸„ø¤º°¨¸„ø¤º°¨¨°º¤ø„¸¨°º¤ø

GO MARIANO!!!! PASTE IF YOU THINK HE IS THE BEST CLOSER EVER!!!!

  • Mariano rivera is the gratest closer of all times.

If you look at goose gossage and other great relievers, they have 3-4 pitches.

Mariano rivera has only 2 (fastball-cutter)

pitches. and hes that good that the hitters know that a cutter is coming but they just cant hit it.

  • Maybe an Indians fan, but he is the greatest closer in the history of the game. The pressure, 56000 people that will love you or hate you with one inning, he has Ice in his veins. I heard him comin out with Enter Sandman, I got chills he is "GAME OVER" not Gagne. Hoffman may have the most saves but Rivera has the ones that gave the Yanks four titles from 96,98-00. 0.80 ERA in postseason, nuff said. If only Cleveland ever had a closer like that

  • i am from panama..and is a proude to have the best reliev pitcher of all time..

PANAMEÑO DE CORAZON! (PANAMENIAN FOR HART)

  • maybe one day he will be as good as jonny papelbon go sox!!

  • thats y papelbon has some blown saves this season and rivera has none. stfu

  • right cuz papelbons totally better than the sandman... (sarcasm)

  • I think you mean, hopefully someday johnathan papelbon will be as good as him.

  • papelbon will never ever be as good as rivera, no one will be. i dont care if youre a biased sock fan, almost everyone will say mo rivera is the greatest ever

  • LMAO!

papelbon idolizes Rivera, he said it himself.

Papelbon is terrible anyways, he blows too many saves.

  • hahahahahaha! You ARE joking, right? lol

  • maybe papelbon can be as good as rivera

No Papelbon will never be as good as the sandman!

  • Are you kidding? I just saw a Red Sox game where papelbon was closing. He allowed one run in the single he was pitching (9th) and another batter hit a ball that bounced off near the top of the green monster, all most a 2 run homerun. Papelbon offically sucks.

  • when papelbon wins a world series mvp & saves near the amount of post season saves then maybe ya can talk but all papelbon has done this year ws blow saves to hits from rookies

  • game over

  • MOOO I LOVE UU

  • He is the best.

  • greatest reliever all time

greatest post season pitcher all time

    greatest Yankees pitcher all time

most dominating pitcher in the new millenium

up for arguments for the last statement cuz other 3 is just proven fact

  • Mariano is an outstanding reliever. However I cannot call him the greatest of all time. He generally pitches 1 inning and with no one on base. Guys like Gossage, Sutter, and Fingers would pitch 2-3 innings and get saves. It was nothing for Gossage to come into a game (regular or postseason) in the 7th inning with runners in 2nd and 3rd with no one out. Then he'd slam the door shut and finish the game. 2/3 of Sutter's saves were more than 1 inning.

  • game 7 of the 2003 ALCS? mo pitched 3 scoreless innings in that game. He often comes in with runners on. It doesn;t matter how many innings it takes for you to get a save...a save is a save. When you have to face Papi, Manny and etc in the 9th, even if it's only for 1 inning, it's worth clapping for. It's not just those players, he's faced a very tough league in the roids era. His postseason dominance alone is enough to label him the greatest EVER.Your manager taps u for 1,you still have a job

  • better than sutter, better than gossage, better than fingers, all had stretches of being hit hard, rivera has none.

  • actaully mariano rivera has come in games and pitch more then one innings scroless and strikes like everyone out

  • hes the best and theres no doubt about it

  • as amet fan hes my favorite closer and way better than billy wagner

  • im a rays fan (i live in st.pete) and he is my favorite relief pitcher ever!!!! go MO

  • Greatest closer in the history of the game. No doubt about it! About a year ago I saw him close out a game against the Orioles. It is completely different seeing him do his thing in person rather than on TV.

  • "I get the ball, throw the ball, and then I take a shower". Classic quote. Thanks for the video. Great stuff.

  • He's the original "game over", the game might as well be over when he steps in. Oppossing batters know what pitch is coming but they still can't hit his cut fastball, it's just beyond fucking uber nasty. He's also the broken bat king, I'm sure louisville slugger is glad he's still playing.

  • about two weeks ago me and my daughter listened to marty brennaman call a reds and yankees game while we were driving and mo came in and closed that thing- it was awesome

  • at the moment Rivera now has 461 carrer saves.

  • yeah but I really cant go back and update the video with that, at this rate he'll get a save every few days

  • I know aswell his postseason ERA and down to 0.79. His carrer ERA now is 2.30. He countiues to be great and thats what happens but great video.

  • this is awsome!!

  • he's simply the greatest

  • game over

  • "my closer is better than yours"

  • he rules!!!!!!!!!

  • him and sparky lyle if you no who he is are like the best closers of all time both for yanks

  • A true Yankees fan must know whos Mariano Rivera

  • Correction: A true baseball fan must know who Marinao Rivera is. xD

  • Any sport fan must know who MO' is...

  • a true yankee fan must know what an rbi is, half of them dont

  • that's me, but i just recently got into baseball.

run batted in, only i don't know what that means.

  • Man, if I was an opposing player or fan, I'd sincerely hate to hear that song come on, cuz it's lights out. But I'm not. GO YANKS! 27 IN 08!

  • Ha ha.

It's about time No. 27 was added to the board & this is the year to do it!

  • MO-TOWN BABY!!!!

  • HE IS A GOD

  • Mo isnt in the waning years of his career. He pitched well against Toronto tonight and with Joba in front of him, the 8th and 9th inning will be deadly for opponents. Go Joba and Mo. Fianl season at the House that Ruth Built. 1923-2008

  • Mo is the man...he's in the waning years of his career and he's still far and away the best closer in baseball...dominant to the end...greatest ever!

  • I wouldnt say waning just yet. He pitched well tonight against Toronto and with Joba ahead of him, the 8th and 9th inning will be scary for opponents go MO, JOBA and the 08 Yankees. Final Season 1923-2008

  • How can you say he's in the waning years when he's 9/9, 0.00 era with only 5 total hits in 13 games?!

I agree he is by far & away the best closer in baseball.............. history. Plus he still has a good 3 years in him if he wishes & major injury evades him.

  • Wow. This is outstanding. I think Mariano Rivera is something else. Even the "Goose" says so. I agree with MarianoRules42, that pretty much says it all. Forever a Yankees fan in Maine. Not everyone here roots for the Red Sox! The New York Yankees have a LOT of fans here.

  • bottom line. when u hear that music and ur the other team u gotta be thinkin "damn time ot hit the showers"

  • Hell Yeah Mo kicks Ass!

  • he OWNS MLB

  • hes taalking about closers not sraters "ROCKET"

  • exit light, enter night=lights out

    perfect description for Mo

  • Hopefully, the Yanks will do the right thing and keep him in New York for the rest of his career.

  • If he isnt a first ballot hall of famer with more than 90% of the vote when he retires the hall of fame is a joke.

  • great job...viva MARIANO

  • Gotta go to MO !!!!!!

  • super

  • Panama xuxa!!

  • trevor hoffman may have the most saves but mo has the most saves when it counts. The best postseason and regular season closer of all time with his great cutter

  • EricAnno...u think that clemens is the best starter?Clemens is one of the greatest in history but hes not the best. Greg Maddux is better than him, Cy Young is better than him, nd there are still like 7 more guys ahead of him on the wins column. You're just saying Koufax, Clemens, and Ryan cuz they're the most well known but clemens is definately not the best. Great video by the way. Go MO!

  • Is that right? Don't tell me who I should pick. Clemens is better than Maddux. The only time that Maddux was better than Rocket was when Maddux was with the Braves. Before and after his run in Atlanta, he has/was an average at best pitcher. Cy Young has the most wins, but also losses. Besides, he pitched in the "dead-ball" era.

  • Also, I didn't say Sandy Koufax because he is "well known". I said he is up there, because he is up there. And it doesn't matter who has more wins. Sure, a player can have 400 wins, but that doesn't mean that they are worthy of being mentioned. It means that they pitched for a great team(s). Clemens is the best ever, bar none. Here's my list. Clemens, Mad Dog, Koufax, Walter Johnson, and Christy Matthewson. You have your opinion, I have mine so don't criticize me, and shut your mouth.

  • sure a player can have 400 wins, but that doesn't mean that they are worthy of being mentioned...huh....what?

  • Actually, you know what? Here is my list.

    1. Walter Johnson

    2. Christy Matthewson

    3. Grover Cleveland Alexander

    4. Warren Spahn

    5. The Rocket

  • mo has been the best closer for the past decade or so

  • Mariano is the best closer ever. He may not have the most saves, but comes through in the clutch when it is needed. Sure, he missed it a few times, the 2001 World Series, the 2004 ALCS, but it was for those 4 World Series, that he really came through for the Yankees, and that is what makes him better than Trevor Hoffman, Dennis Eckersley, or anyone else.

  • eckersley cost oakland so many pennants(1992 for example)

Rivera is pretty clutch in postseason

even this season his regular season isnt very good

    0 runs in post season

  • nice vid mo is the best pitcher ever

  • He's not the best pitcher ever. He's the best reliever/closer ever. No, starters, Roger Clemens is the greatest starting pitcher ever, alongside of Nolan Ryan and Sandy Koufax. Mo is definetly the greatest closer of all-time.

  • GO MO. You da man.

  • LOVE IT LOVE MO

  • Awesome. :) I really like it.
