  • Time doesn´t rest and FLOYD sharply awake the mortals to see the light or wisdom...

  • watch the pengelums and say...I am getting verrryyy sleeeeeppyyyy! zzzzz

  • I have The complete audio of this song, plus the entire album of that date on my page, remastered. Check it out!

  • I hate how's there no early/mid 70's vids of the floyd except pompeii.

  • esta musica é show

  • Fantástica esse música.

  • floyd is floyd and over

  • mi jazz bass es de ese año.!! soy un afortunado..!!!

  • Greatest I should say.

  • Best guitarists ever: Gilmour, Page, Hendrix, Clapton, Beck, and SRV. The End, beautiful friend, the end.

  • Though it is entirely true that Roger is as ego-maniacal psycho, he wrote the most profoundly beautiful words and created some of the greatest songs of all time. Of course, David is without a doubt the second-greatest guitarist ever, and in my opinion the best singer, and had a great influence on the sound of many Floyd songs and generally that of the band.

  • so who is the best guitarist ever then

  • Hendrix, because of the astounding advancements he made in rock in under three years. He was the first real great guitar player, as well as the greatest. I have to say, though, I enjoy Gilmour's playing more. His solos are like songs in their own right. He can play bad ass or beautifully, and usually did both at the same time.

  • I agree with all you say thought thats who would of said its a great shame hendrix died so young

  • that is a pretty arrogant statement to make. B.B. King came along long before hendrix... and he was indeed a great guitar player

  • B.B. King played blues, and that was it. He could play some neat notes, but that was it. Jimi brought mind-shattering guitar to rock, psychedelia, funk, soul, AND blues. If you say B.B. King, you'd have to say Robert Johnson, who, before Jimi, I'd say was the best.

  • B.B. King completely redefined the blues though. He was indeed a great guitarist. I agree that Hendrix is better, but you must give credit where it is due. you could say that Gilmour also had his limitations. his solos are nearly all revolving around the pentatonic or blues scale. Given, he could play this very, very well, and I am a huge fan of Gilmour. To label one guitarist as the "greatest" i think is a trivial pursuit.

  • King plays the same 'scale', but I've heard he likes to it in a different place on the fretboard, but that's irrelevant. Listen to 'On an Island', Gilmour's new solo album, it'll redefine all your thoughts on him. And I agree that making lists of the 'greatest' things is absurd, but I say this not because of some list, but because I have yet to hear a guitarist of greater ability. In truth, though, I enjoy Gilmour's playing more than Jimi's. Its much more refined, but I play more like Jimi.

  • well said.

  • if it wasnt for david gilmour there would have been no pink floyd roger waters ego was that big he thought pink floyd couldnt go on without him i think gilmour doesnt get the credit he deserves

  • Men! Just wanna slap em

  • Wow, love Pink Floyd :D. But I was wondering why there isn't any live visual footage from the early days like '73, while bands like The Who , the Rolling Stones ect. do have them. Does anybody know why?

  • There's live in Pompeii and there is also a video from Earls Court with an amazing performance of "Careful With That Axe Eugene". I seem to dimly remember one of them saying that the reason they used music videos during performances was that they didn't do much onstage, so that may have something to do with it.

  • have damn same question look fiôr 10 minutes nothing found

  • Pink Floyd was broke?

  • waters wrote some amazing songs but he also said floyd would be nothing without him.. Hmmm think he was wrong david is the best there has ever been or will be

  • i agree, waters is a genious, but he's also a dick!

  • Mason and Wright were amazing as well. Paintbox by Wright is a great song.

  • All of them are amazing... Roger Waters is a prick... ill never forgive em for quitting Floyd..lol

  • ya,waters ego was too huge.gilmour is not only underated as a vocalist and guitarist.but he was the glue that held the group when syd went off.and as proven when he went solo, waters needed floyd as much as floyd needed him.and why do we keep forgetting the contribution of mason and wright?

  • More importantly, Why doesn't Gilmour get as much credit for A) being a fantastic guitarist for a revolutionary band. B) Performing one of the top 10 greatest guitar solos of all time in this song. Something like #85 on Rolling Stones top guitarist list!?!? Come on

  • fuck rollingstone, I'll take Time or Comfortably numb over Stairway to Heaven any day.

  • its not that waters was arrogant so much as he was being a dick..he told nick that he wasnt good enough for the final cut and wanted wright and gilmour to completely change their style..hence why david only plays on 2 tracks on the final cut and the rest is technically roger's first solo album..they were good without him but not great theyre gone forever now because we lost richard..this is a great track though..

  • Mais Pink Floyd é Pink Floyd melhor banda do mundo

  • imagem muito ruin, som ruin e ainda está incompleto. nota 0

  • why do people on youtube insist on posting dickhead comments ?

  • @assbark usually because they're dickheads themselves...

  • Its archival footage of material which is otherwise unavailable.

  • 16 November? The correct date must be 15 November.

  • Long live to Roger Waters

  • te liga!!!!

  • don't try to blow crap that is not the real thing , it only wastes our time listening to someone who can;t play or sing.

  • Actually this flippin' video stops short of the solo. This solo is by far one of the BEST I have heard from the fingers of Gilmour. Mebbe, I'll upload it. Listen to the Solo on this pooch and you'll think how come the britons never erected a statue for them in the piccadilly area. Tear down all those stupid statues of old fart generals and erect one of the Floyd and Zep. They are the real jewels of the island and not some general that sent his soldiers to death and got himself a bloddy statue.

  • Bloody well said! If you want to win a nation, send them your best band!

  • trippy visuals

  • This solo is so damn melancholy yet so emotional, how is that so?

  • because melancholy is an emotion? and its really melancholy? maybe?

  • fkn nice pink floyd are the BESTS

  • Everyone feels the same in a moment of the life.

  • I just saw Roger Waters a couple of months ago here in Denver,CO. It was one of the best shows ive ever seen. Floyd Forever!!!

  • Will pink floyd ever tour again?

  • It's hard to tell. If they do its probably not going to be a big one. Theres also a chance they might have a single big reunion concert, like Zeppelin did this year. Which would more than likely be in London.

  • I dont think so, now Richard's gone

  • Probably one of my favorite Floyd songs of all time. Probably has to do with the beautiful tone of Gilmour's guitar in this song. The solo is just phenomenal.

  • One of the best songs of Pinky Floyd

  • Amazing....

  • Avantgarde band. Love this theme

  • Pink Floyd is the greatest, and this is one of the greatest songs of all-time, lyrically and musically.

Thank you so much for putting this up. If only this received the same amount of attention as American Idull.

  • This is Floyd's best song, Dave's best solo. Wish I had been born earlier as to see them in the 70's.

  • well i guess LIVE meant NOT LIVE. thanks for the grammar school lessons

  • whata fuck?!

  • your joking? that's all?

  • I like this version. The intro seems slower and dark

  • No it isnt fake. it's the vid they showed in concerts in the background.

  • Yeah, back in the earlier concerts.

  • Can I find any professional footage from 72-77 (The Dark Side Tours- In The Flesh? Tours)

  • As far as I know, none exists. I don't the technology really existed at the time to film a show the kind of show Pink Floyd did. To use films in concert, they had to keep the light levels low onstage, which means, the footage tended to turn out real murky. Apparently, this is the reason why the footage that was filmed for The Wall movie was never used. I think that's the main reason why not much concert footage exists of Pink Floyd pre-87.

  • You can play this video, the whole album, The Making of TDSOTM, PULSE live, DSOT Rainbow, KOYAANISQATSI and DSOTM, TDSO Gotham, Twilight Zone, Dream Theater, Tatamimat, Time Stealer, Roger Waters ~ TDSOTM World Tour, and more on my playlist: "The Dark Side of the Moon".

    Thanks for posting this awesome!

  • It Was OK But Theres Not Enough Bass Its Sounds Kinda Weird!

But I Am A Very Big Pink Floyd Fan And I've Heard Beatter Tribute Band. But Maybe It Was The Quality Cuz That Is 1974. lol

  • good video hey can you reply to me tho when you get the whole song on it i want to see the video o.0

  • tiking away the moments that make up a dull day yeahhh

  • Interesting. In the final version the bass pretty much drowns everything. This version lets you hear all the melodious intro. Thanks for sharing!

  • Thank you for liking it and for the nice comment :)

  • @Kukenango But this is after the final version lol

  • I think with all the sources of footage (video and live) they could put together a Dark Side of the Moon video showing all the members of PF, if they never reunite to do it. I wish that the upcoming show Roger's doing turned out to be a Pink Floyd reunion show with them all playing DSOTM.

It sucks that they didn't think of filming the 73-77 tours, although I think that there may be DSOTM footage from '72 (when it was a work in progress) that might exist.

  • Yeah, I dont know why they hold those things like they did take 10 years to release Pulse. They didnt even release Delicate Sound Of Thunder DVD yet. It's really odd!

  • There is footage in 72' when they were working on Dark Side. If you search Pink Floyd Pompeii interviews at the top, there will be some black and White videos. Some of those have some footage of them working on the album. Brain Damage & Us and Them are two songs I know that are in the footage, both of them sound sort of different then they do on the album, I guess that's because they did not tweak things around yet when the videos were made.

  • Yes, on the Pompeii DVD they do have some footage when they were at the studio working on Dark Side but it looks like it's just a little bit.

  • Wow... That's creepy and really weird... I love it!

  • Thank you, nice comment :)

  • Damn, I want this video.

  • Sorry, the song. xP

  • I have it as mp3. Let's find a way that I can send it to you.

  • I have Limewire and if I want to download this exact version what should I type? Pink Floyd-Time-Live 1974?

  • amazing vid...

  • I am glad you enjoyed it! Thank you!

  • That would b cool.

  • Let's find a way so I can send you the song by email.

  • truely great, wish i culd here the solo.

  • I have the whole song.. only music without the clip if you want.

  • rubbish.soorry

  • hmm this sounds an aweful lot like a bootleg i found on lime wire, and its from 1972, but its always a treat to actually hear dark side from 72-75 truely great, and wish you were here and animals too, that was the hay day for pink floyd, before the wall, and roger had his so to say "solo album" with the wall

  • The videoclip is the old "time" version and then just mixed with the 1974 live version of the song.

  • LimeWire Sux But Utorrent Thats Cewl

  • what is utorrent? i have never heard of it, i know it does but it was the only thing i knew about at the time my dad put on my computer

  • well...its cewl

  • sooo sad! I clicked this just to listen to a crazy 70's Gilmour solo. :(

  • Why is it sad? Isnt it good to be a crazy solo? Specially from 1974 :) What were you waiting for?

  • because it was left out (it's not the whole song)

  • Well Im sorry, I wish I had it all as well. But I warned on the video comment ;)
