  • Is it ok to have a wire floor with a tray under it to catch the poop

  • it's a beginner's cage, so please stop being jerks about it. i have that cage and my little guy loves it. i'll upgrade when he's not so tiny. ya'll are bitches.

  • They don't even have any hay ?! Hay should make up 80% of their diet.

  • .....i lik it.

  • That cage is way 2 small for those rabbits. You should have a NIC rabbit condo, that way it's way easier to clean.

  • im going to buy a cage mansion my bunnies

  • cruel putting rabbits in a small cage in mu opinion

  • You didn't even show the actual cleaning of the cage. Everything you said was just the obvious stuff. Can someone please point out the guinea pig because they both look like rabbits to me, but ones lop eared.

  • You have no room for your rabbits! Maybe its time to learn how to take care of your animals first!

  • If it's a cage just like that it is not built with real rabbits in mind who would naturally spend their day roaming a field browsing on grass and hay all day and most of the night. Come on people let's give our bunnies a better deal that this!

  • loady that cage is to small, it was small for my guinee pig

  • i have exact same cage .. butt wooooft the smelll /:

  • I am looking for a way to disinfect my wooden hutch after losings a rabbit to pasteurella. I want to be sure all traces of the bacterium are gone before using the hutch again. Does anybody now fore certain what will kill the nasty bug.

  • I'm not allowed cages cos the rabbit grows too quickly. A hutch is much better for two rabbits.

  • Well, heaps of people keep a single rabbit in a cage that small.

  • @lildictator Yes, but that doesn't make it okay, does it?

People have been brainwashed into thinking that rabbits are like hamsters and guinea pigs. In actual fact they require as much space and freedom as a dog or cat - they love to run and jump about, and cages are just plain cruel. How anyone could keep such an endearing animal locked up in a cage that small sickens me.

  • @BluOceanBubbles Yeah, that's true. I actually now have a cage about 4 times that size for my Bunny and his Guinea Pig Buddy. The door is open but he's so lazy. It had jumping platforms and that too but i took them out because they seemed really flimsy

Anyway, I learnt a lot about Rabbits in the past 3 months. I'll never take advice from a Pet store again after my first one died of cancer. I think house trained Rabbits are the way to go as long as you can competently cover your electrics.

  • @lildictator Woah... well done with giving your rabbit a lot of space, but are you seriously keeping it with a guinea pig?! Please, separate them sooner rather than later - you might not have come across any problems so far, however a rabbit can easily kill a guinea with one kick of its back legs (can be done accidentally). Rabbits and guinea pigs have completely different dietary requirements, so I really don't know how you manage to give them separate food.

  • @lildictator [continued] Guinea pigs are also capable of passing on diseases to rabbits. Not a good idea at all.

  • @BluOceanBubbles

What if the rabbit is kept in a slightly bigger cage than the one on this video, well, a hutch that's kept inside, but is let out to run around the whole house for a few hours everyday? And sometimes taken to a friends house to run in their big backyard? Is it okay then?

  • @jhhjhjhhjhu It depends on the size of the cage/hutch in question. The minimum recommended space for a rabbit is a 6ft x 2ft cage/hutch with an attached 6ft x 4ft run - this means that a rabbit should have at least 36sq ft at all times. I still believe that even if the rabbit is given free range time, the actual "base" should fit the minimum requirement of 36 sq ft (unless the cage/hutch is open at all times whilst the rabbit has free run of the house or room all day).

  • I know this video wasn't exactly helpful, but I use the product Quick n Brite to clean my rabbit cage. It's a natural all purpose cleaning product with no fumes or chemicals so it's safe around my rabbits, and it also removes 99% of germs so it kills the bacteria from the urine! It works wonders at cutting through the odor and buildup.

  • @agatqb1 Will you read the container for me and see if it kills pasteurella? I would appreciate it so much.

  • woow eHow hired a really bad host for bunny issues.

i feel bad putting my bunny in the samecage ...what about 2??!!!? seriously i didn't even learn alot in thisvid. :S

  • those poor bunnies! The cages are much too small. When I think of the wild bunnies near my house and how they hope all over the place the cages seem cruel.

  • does cages are so small i got a bigger one

  • If she is going to make videos about how to care for a rabbit, she should learn how first. First off, her cage is waaaaay to small for 2 rabbits, second, paper is an ok bedding but not reccomended because it doesnt absorb the odor well and the smell can make them sick. She should do a bit more research before she makees how to videos. Plus, she didnt even show how to clean the cage!!

  • @Jaydeygirljayda and also the paper can give the rabbit paper cuts

    LOL

  • @GforGilmore true i 4 got that. if you dont wanna buy bedding t least use towels or something i mean at least do one nice thing

  • @iCavy agreed.

  • i have the same cage but its dark blue!!

  • i have to same cage but mine is blue xD

  • Those cages are waaayy too small!

  • my bunny dosnt walk on the floor, he only walks on carpets.... he is young he is only 3 months, but i just want to know when he will start walking on the floor.

  • @Imizzy101 if you have a laminated floor they cant walk on it because it has no grip

  • is diluted vinegar a safe cleaner for bunnies? does anyone know? i know you can use it for hampsters cage...

  • Awww the black and white bunny is soo adoreable! :) Do u know what breed it is?

  • @JuliaSaysPeace a dutch

  • @JuliaSaysPeace dutch

  • I can't wait to clean my bunny cage! And potty train them, and clean or bath them or give them a toys! Wow! I have to do something about my bunny! Cuz i never do anything to them!

  • That cage shouldn't even be for sale. That's only suitable for a hamster or similar!

  • @theprincessrules Well if you can't afford a huge cage you shouldn't have a rabbit. What is a price on a pets happiness and wellbeing?

  • a little small but if you also have a playpen too it should be good. is a 3 feet long cage a good size for a lionhead dwarf? please SOMEONE reply! thanx :)

  • @MsAnimalloverz No, it is far far too small. One rabbit should have at least 5ft of space. Even a small rabbit. Hope this helps :)

  • @happysaz133 thanx but they dont sell that at stores and i can not make one and even if they did sell them they would be so much money. i think it should be fine espically if you bring them out a lot :)

  • @MsAnimalloverz It's really not. In the UK you're pet would be taken away from you if you kept it in that. The RSPCA guidlines for small animal accomodation says at least 5ft for one rabbit, and that it should have a run permanently attached. If you can't buy a 5ft cage (which I find hard to believe as they DO sell them in pet shops, at least in the UK), you could have one made.

  • @happysaz133 thank you i will thank about it when it grows and gets older because it might be a pretty fun project to do but i will start off with a smaller cage and maybe make a bigger one when the time comes thanx so much. i dont live in the uk :)

  • What are the rabbits names? :]

  • wats the point in buying a £60 tiny rabbit cage thats only gunna 4 weeks then u have to buy another when u can just buy

    a £60 - £90 medium or big tha u dont have to change :P

  • you know you can make a c&c cage which is way less expensive but twice as big

  • Question: my bunny peed in his food bowl yesturday and I just wiped it away and put it under the water faucet. Is that enough? It isn't infected or anything right!?

  • ohhhh my gosh! That cage is wayyy to small for even one bunny. Not to mention those are babies. The rabbits need a huge cage. You can't put two rabbits in a cage that small not even one!

  • @CLexi28 I apologize if I seem rude or anything like that, but the rabbits should be fine in a cage like that as long as the owner gives them plenty on exercise

  • please put a litter pan , its much easier to clean , bunnys should be litter trained

  • i have a bunny go on to my page and youll see it

  • #1 cage too small for even one bunny

#2 at least take the bunnies out

  • @CLexi28 is right that cage is WAY to small for even 1 rabbit. Poor little guys. My Bunny has a cage 3 times that size and has a playpen thing around it and i leave the cage open so it can walk around in there.

  • poor bunnys

  • the cage is WAY too small for even a single bunny .and maybe that someone doesn't have ,,that,, cage maybe a C&C cage .and you have to show how you clean it not just like that .

  • i agree that cage is far too small for a rabbit, but lets try to remember that these rabbits are in a pet store so they're not expected to remain there long at all. hopefully their owners will provide them with either a nice sized cage or allow them to run around free range

  • THAT cage? For a bunny? Good God! Poor pets...

  • only bad people cage their bunnys :(
