This is from Coltrane's Live in Japan recordings. He never knew they were taping this stuff, so that's probably why this is so incredibly good...and lengthy (57 minutes). The song starts with a 15 minutes bass solo by Jimmy Garrison. Then first Trane, then Sanders on alto sax (big surprise!). In the end Trane will be playing soprano sax. Go to Praguedive Playlists if you want to listen to the entire song, but don't feel like searching for the next part (6) all the time.

This recording alone justifies the invention of compact discs -- allowing one to listen to the entire track uninterrupted.
