When I got pregnant 2004, I started a word doc of my journey to pregnancy, because I was also on infertility drugs and found out I was pregnant Fathers Day 2004. THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE. As of today I have 95 pages TYPED including pictures. I do not have a video diary, but it's a great idea and people WILL watch. I know I will. CONGRATS on you and I wish you a healthy pregnancy.

Congratulations! My first son is 14 months old right now. The giving birth wasn't 'that' bad. It didn't hurt as bad as women say it does. The worst part for me was the 9 months of carrying my son during which I was watching what I eat, not able to exert myself and lift laundry baskets myself and things like that because I like doing things myself.

Well, the adreneline (so?) of excitement knowing the long 9 months of waiting was over, in combination with the fact that I watched tons of Discovery Channels 'Birth Day' episodes to know what to expect. I mentally prepared to have a high pain threshold.

I would equate the mindset you have when you get a tattoo, could be used when the day comes where you start having contractions. Mind over matter, relaxation techniques but also I remember that day going with the flow and letting my body do what it needed to do. Almost disconnected from it in a way.
