If the only thing PhysX can do, is to simulate realistic curtains and skirts, makes you wonder why such thing was patented by Nvidia anyways?

There are much better physics engines wich use only CPU calculating power (havok for example, fully destroyable envrioment in Red faction: Guerilla, Frostbite 2.0 and 3.0 on battlefield bad company 2 and upcoming bf3) to produce realistic physics that are often cooler than any PhysX introduced games yet.

FRAPS makes me angry, on CODMW i get around 110fps, with FRAPS i get 30fps...

thats because its recording, it has to take away some FPS. and the 30fps is because you have it set to 30fps recording limit in fraps settings

Actually, i have it set to 100.

keep the preset as 60, most of the time when you type in a number and fraps can't meet that number it goes to defult settings, which is 30fps lock

To be more accurate i get 23FPS. im guessing the reason it has such a drastic drop in frame rate is because i had it on

It doesn't have much of an effect on my system at all and i have 1.6ghz dual core, 2 gigs ram and a 9600Gt 512mb. my settings are set to 60fps lock, half size with recording sound. i lose about 4-7 fps depending on the game.

Thats because the call of duty animations are all scripted and are on the fly

but i think the character movement here is animated not scripted

Mmm, it seems QUAD SLI and SLI Modes does not work well in Windows (Vista or XP).

I have a 9800GX2 on Win XP. In SLI mode Nurien runs at 30.820, in single mode it runs at 33.428 fps avg.
