That is what I mean??? Japan do not allow any forces..Why Jap tanks there in actions?? I crazy J-20 fly over Tokyo and bombing to revenge 1945 then too late to wait for USA to help then??? And even today I hear Jap will buy 40-50 F-35 (?) NOT ALLOW AIR FORCES after 1945 ?? What did you mean?? I understand and hear that alot but look today look like American let them to have some power to defense themself before too late by Chinese!

I dont understand why Japan uses the Type 74 as a main battle tank. It only weights like 38 tons. It would be a much better light tank.

The japanese do not have a military since the end of wwii, but they do have a jgsdf (japan ground self defense force) and a slew of other branches like the jasdf (japan air self defense force) and jmsdf (japan maritime self defense force) since they're a SELF DEFENSE force, they are prohibited from invasion and limited to defense of their own country.

The 74 and 90 aren't copies of anything, though I agree the 90 looks a lot like a Leopard 2 (pre-A5), it is shorter (6 roadwheels pr. side), ligher and only has a three-man crew, thanks to an autoloader.

It also has adjustable pneumatic suspension.

Type74 has Royal Ordnance L7A1 105mm/L51 rifle gun, and Type90 has Rheinmetall 120mm/L44 Smooth-bore gun (same as U.S. Army's M256 gun).

How are they not Type 74's? They don't have a high track rollers, like the M60. The video is also distorted which makes them looks taller. They are Type 74. The second trio of tanks to fire are Type 90's as well.
