I think that scar was the most develouped character through the movie, he was a genius coming up with that plan, and the vast vocabulary that he had during his musical number. I feel that scar wasn't as respected as he should have been, and carried out the movie this far.

While it is clear that Scar/Taka was evil, probably without remorse for what he did, he's always been my favorite villain in Disney of all time. I mean, he's just the best that you can get really. I was and still confused about the fact though that early on in the film, Scar said that he had the wits but hardly any strength. But here, you can clearly see that he has some strength.

And this final battle is epic <3 One of the best pieces of animation out there if you ask me.

The imagery of Scar's death is striking... his death has to be the most gruesome, period. But, as a Lion, this is particularly horrible, as by getting eaten, his remains will not become grass to be eaten by the antelope, therefore denying him a place in the "circle of life." Its basically the equivalent to a Lion Hell, I suppose, hence the flames and shadows and demonic looking hyenas. Am I making sense?

actually i think it was the perfect end for him, they finally saw him for what he was, he used them and played off them,and this was revenge, but for Scar, his pride, his hate his jealousy all led him to this fate, he destroyed himself in a way which is why this scene just seems perfect. can you suggest any other way for him to go? what this villain taught me was that hate, and jealously twists and poisons you, and eventually leads you to your own destruction.
