@kang03786 The underlining basic in 易經 is change易. As such, things and people change with time. The 40s' erhu playing cannot be replicated no more because instrument making, music playing, etc. are changing. To me, the old-timers' erhu sound touches my heart. I have been practicing the erhu for the past 30 years. I love the gut string （絲弦）and am playing extensively erhus with gut strings.
