Do you always start your drawings with the eyes and then the face? How do you make the hair look so realistic? The whole picture is amazing!

thank you :) well when I first started with drawing portraits, I was drawing the face in the beginning and then I tried to "fit" in the eyes, but it never really worked good cause I always had to erase the face outlines and draw them again to get the right proportion, I've noticed along the way that the best way to start a portrait is with the eyes then it's much easier to get the right porportions with the nose, mouth etc etc...

i dont know what to say, drawing realistic hair is really hard, I wasnt good with the hair in the beginning but now I'm better with it, i guess cause at first I didnt really pay much attention to the hair, I thought it was just the face that was important to capture, however now I've learned that the hair needs just as much attention & effort as the other facial parts so I just try to follow the reference picture as closely as I can and the dark and lighter tones needs to be blended seamlessly.

thanks man, yeah you should take the time:) I just cant force myslef to draw quick portraits, I always want to make the best drawing I can possibly make, sure it takes time but I think thats the way I improve myself by giving everything in each drawing, in the end all the hours are worth it :)
