@alucardisdumb don't think he did that many and shit was TIGHT. place is a little bigger than a newsstand and i'm not kidding it's 500 sq ft. i think the basement was full of stock and that was even smaller and you had to go down a ladder that was dangerous going down and even more so going up with bags full of stuff. i think there are some pictures of it's actual size floating around you'd be shocked.
physical store is dead,but hospital lives as a webstore and dom went to live in L.A. reason for the move still isn't known. if you e-mail you get an automated message that says "out of the office until 2012" weird,no e-mail announcement about the closing or anything. Saved a trip to nyc this weekend for me. FUCK.....
@DeathMetalRob imagine how i feel i was suppose to go up there around tax season. =/
but i guess the only decent thing that came out of it was apop taking his stuff to st louis which i live three hours away from so at least theres that.
i just hope bro gets a chance to open up another shop if he even wants to get into that again.
@alucardisdumb yeah,but i can't justify a 3 hour ride to lowell to see if rrron is open. It's difficult running a store like that. every time i would go in it would just be me and dom or whoever was behind the counter,people would trickle in 1 or two at a time. and sometimes people would come in look at stuff get confused and leave. It had to be frustrating rent and utilities prob didn't justify staying open. good side looks like online version will stay around.
yeah i was never worried about the online part of it but my thing is that didnt dom do shows there where his old shop was in the basement?
losing prime show area would have been sucky i would imagine more so that not having a physical store.
