I have the 2480 hd guess what its better than anything its been everywhere and i just hit record hey look mom no pc need funny protools le locks up not my roland 2480 if my roland 2480 breaks i would buy a new in the box if i could still find roland droped off bring back the 2480 it better than anything on the market 2001-2011 and still going strong...............HEY ADD INTERNET SEND A EMAil mp3 track heheheheha

Re:VirDIS VS2480 users. Product is called VirDIS (Virtual DISK Image Server) by Advanced Storage Concepts, Inc. Convert VS2480 (.HDD) files/projects into .WAV files from within the PC too! You can master (CD-R Master) to the PC Hard Drive and listen to it back without burning a physical CD-R DISC + more! You can store VS2480 files to a thumb drive if you like, move VS2480 files around your PC just like a word document or .JPG. Search internet using VirDIS and virtualscsi and you'll find it!

Been using two of these for years, never had a problem with them, even with thousands of edits in a single project. Also, you can now hook it up with the PC and use the PC Hard Drive for recording. I've never had down-time with the Roland VS2480. The sound it killer! 56bit vs.32bit in PC. They keep me in business!

All of these vs units are great. I haven't had a glitch and I record quite a bit. You have to optimize your projects regularly and you will be fine. It is also wise to get rid of things that you don't use. VSPlanet.com has been most helpful to me.

I just got one of these....Been using a VS1680 for a decade. If anyone is worthy of a VS2480 it's me.
