  • This is a pretty large team. Very long jab and a pretty big stack too.

  • one of our larger teams (but still not the largest) this one was 24 with rifles, 2 guidon bearers, 2 XO's, & 1 Cmdr. There were 8 stacks total, 3 rifles per stack. And the jab was verrrry long, alright...Check out the Bal 1984 91st...That was the second largest..

  • Once you get the DeOcampo drill up there, folks are gonna see the roots of BBDT style!

  • There still was no way Steve or Armando would've known about the uniforms/colorguard without some adult guidance/advice.. SMAJ was hands off on the drill performance aspect which was cool but the blame falls solely on the AI/SAIs at the time regarding technicalities.

  • good point...

  • yeah but we got DQ'ed for inappropriate dress code.... hahaha priceless

  • still, it was a great drill, i based my drills/formations on this and the 84 Liberty Bell as you probably could tell...and ran the team based on how you and Edwin did.

  • Very expensive uniforms! Slick drill with the removal of the helmets during inspection

  • i know, i always liked the fact that Steve, Alex and Ronnie took their helmets off.

  • Since it was the 80s, it would've been cool if they had the Aquanet Pompadours and mullet when they took their helmets off! j/k... I blame SMAJ and COL for not stepping up and letting them know about the tuxedoes for this drill and for the Color Guard add-on during the 87 drill.
