i got them at a bike salvage yard.... i own a shop in fort worth, tx so i spend alot of time tinkering with my bikes when its slow lol... they are 9 inch i think
@Natefarish question for you sir, will the m50 make a decent freeway bike? Can it handle cruising at 80mph without me feeling bad like im working the engine to hard?
I dont ride the Suzuki anymore.. i ride a 06 harley electra glide classic, and i still wheelie it too lol but yes the M50 can handle 80mph.. I road 300 miles (fort worth texas to hot springs arkasas) and we did about 90 to 100 the whole way. you may think your over powering the engine but try rideing with ear plugs... its a new ride all together.
I have an 08 stock m50.... what gear where you in when you pulled it up? I see you have done some chaneges but I still can get it up plus how did the socks take the landing??? I have hit some bad holes with mine and they just compress all the way...nice move looks sick!
at that time all mine had done was exahust and lowered. but i did wheelie before all that as well. thats in first gear. Shocks are ok if you land it soft... if not after a while you could blow the seals on your forks... i have blown them on one side so it leaks fluid
NIce bike. I ride an '05 M50 too but don't think I'll be trying this out. Do you have forward controls on yours? I'm looking for a pair other than the $600 Jardines I've seen.
nope... only adds i have are my bars, pipes, headlight (hurracain.. i sell them) and the paint job that i do myself aslo... just changed it again recently.... pegs are stock location....
ya its fun... I regret to say that after 4 years of intense wheelieing and and agressive acceleration with NO maintenance to the rear diff or driveshaft, after over 14k miles i have broken somethin in the driveshaft and am now patiently waiting for someone to call and tell me whats wrong..... :-(. Still drives great, just makes a weird noise... and i opened the case and can tell its not the transmission and the fluid in the rear diff looked clean and full. something is scrapeing in the shaft
ya my plan is to get a gsxr 1000 engine and change out the swing arm to fit a 250 or 300 tire. run straight exhaust so it will still be deep and then maybe i will be happy with it for a lil while..... been rideing my buddy's Ultra classic lately tho and i like that haha
haha. the first time it was kinda scarey cause i didnt think it would go up that high. it started as a joke with my buddy on his CBR but then it really did it. now its hard not to do it lol. i still need to pay that wheelie ticket i got at the hot springs rally.... better get to it i guess lol. Thanks for the Comment!
The only thing I've ridden is an XR 500 once and only up and down a gravel driveway, but I'm glad I never hammered the throttle, 'cause I would've lost all excretory control.
One of the best looking bikes ever. My friend has a black 06 M50 he said he can't do a wheelie, maybe he can after seeing this lol. He tried a stoppie once, that was scary he got hard on the brakes and the back wheel came off the ground and started to swing around he let go of the brake and caught the bike, and its a pretty heavy bike lol. He has custom (Drilled out) exhast, sounds mean as hell.
Man I saw this and thought it didn't look that hard to get it up... I tried for a couple hours the other day and the best I can so with it is spin up the tire and lay a line down the parking lot.. I just put a new clutch in it.. so what is the trick?
I have a brand new rear.. My buddy was riding it around the parking lot giving it hell for bout 1.5 hrs before I tried...Guess I just aint ment to get it up.. Maybe it needs Viagra =)
haha well it takes a lil clutching and alot of throttle at the same time. but the secret is as your doin this, pull back and slide your body back into your seat to help the bike start comming back up. you can get a couple feet just by clutching it but if you help it up like this you can bring it up as high as you want.
haha, ya it is a moderate clutch up if you want to be real technical. i usually goose it a split second befor i pop the clutch but you really cant tell unless your really listening for it. Thanks for watching!
well i am told its just something im skilled at. my buddy rides a crotch rocket and can wheelie forever and a day, but he cant bring it up on his Marauder. But i totally rocked a wheelie on his bike so..... lol
I have an 07 and I knew it would come up but I give you props, mine arent that big, cause I wasnt sure of stability. i pulled it up in 2nd with a passenger and bout shit.
Fuck yeah I'd love to see a sportbike rider wheelie a cruiser!

do you have good tires on it? you have to warm them up first so they will stick just like on any bike.
