the trials are for a direct entry into the WTTC in rotterdam. They have two trials, one of which just finished

the top 4 of the two trials combined will get a spot in china's roster for the WTTC.

Thanks for the translation guys! It really helps understand what's going in the team. Certainly Chinese coaching system is much tougher and harder with the players...the question is: would players in Europe accept such a rough style? I'm wondering if it would work with them...

The coaches here are rough. When a player loses, they make them go in front of everyone and explain to everyone why they lost. This is perfect incentive to excel against every opponent. And people wonder why the Chinese are so good? Do that in the other countries and you'll see the players get better. They do that in the US for the big American sports (basketball, football, and baseball).

he kinda gave up and let loose, liao guo liang scolded at him in front of the team at the end. liao guoliang said, it does matter how good you are when youre at your top form. it's how you play when you're at your worst form that the coaches would judge them upon.

basically the vid is saying chinese trials = everyone got scolded at + world champions couldn't even get into quarter finals lol

and liao guoliang scolded him: if you felt this bad after the match, you should have felt this bad everyday during training, if you felt that bad for urself (n hence worked harder) every training, you won't be like this after the match

--xuxin said hes not used to his new blade, he uses a lot of spin in his playstyle, but the new blade responds differently, hence he's not comfortable with it yet

dang they are really harsh and strict, thats why they are good. so much insane competition within that gym. I mean players like Ma Lin, who is olympic champion, and who can beat just about every non-Chinese player in the world at least 65 percent of the time, and yet he lost 4-0 to Zhou Yu, who is a new player who just got into the A team and is only 18
