The program is listening for the sensor pushes and bumps. When you BUMP it, the robot whacks the hammer, when you KEEP HOLDING, it moves forward and when you BUMP and KEEP HOLDING, it turns. Its that simple!!!

the thing is we use these in school and my teacher wants me to write the program from scratch

OK, the timing trick used on the button here is a little tricky, so try something a little simpler, such as:

1. Pivot turn while button is held down, then

2. Drive straight while button is held down, then

3. Hammer when button is pressed

and repeat all of this in a loop. You will only be able to hammer after going straight.

Parts 1 and 2 can both use:

a) Wait for touch sensor press

b) Move block set to unlimited

c) Wait for touch sensor release

d) Stop (Move block set to Stop)

well i was tryin something even simpler my algorithm was

1. Move forward while button is held down

2. Stop when released (a given)

3. Hammer when button is pressed

I can get it to move but idk wht to put in the program to make it hammer while its not in motion

After stopping, the hammer part could be:

1. Wait for button press

2. Motor A down for 0.25 sec

3. Motor A up for 0.25 sec

You have to guess which direction is "down" for the hammer motor, so if it doesn't work, try switching them in the program.
