The problem with reggae is that it usually has an anti-social feel about it.

Take the song 'red red red wine' by ub40', it has a strong beat, but It does not have an anti-social feel about it.

And the same with the song 'Don't turn around' by aswad - it's reggae, but it does not have an anti-social feel about it.

Which is why reggae does not hit the pop charts that often.
