@JimboJitsu That storm raged as it crossed the mountains across the lake but never did a drop hit us. The rain you see falling in the video is about 15 miles away.
The film was made on a MACBook Pro. A Logitech HD Pro 910 was used coupled with Boinx time lapse software which I set to take one frame every 10 seconds, the entire video took about 5 hours to shoot.
MONSOON !!! we have been under this God forsaken high humidity high heat dome for weeks here in the midwest, the excessive heat warnings get old but the lack of any rain is turning everything brown here, its sad seeing lush green go to dust... in late May / Early June, we had record rainfall, that is long gone heat indexes of 105 to 117 daily here, its rough, very rough, feels thick as pea soup just going outside with the high humidity, beyond tropical, tropical + desert heat+ no breeze ever.
@yellowgroove It was sure a scorcher out there in the desert, and the storms were not much of a relief. Now back in NY and it is still hot & humid here, sure could use some of the rain we had a few weeks ago.
Did it even rain? What speed is that at and how did you get it to go that fast? really cool video with the intro and music too. Great job my friend!

Great time lapse! We had a storm yesterday too…Right in the middle of the Q, but that rain was welcome relief (for a moment) from this heat wave.
