GOP hijacks the flag. Limbaugh & Hate Radio Fox "News" Bush/Cheney Palin Birthers Beck Carrie Prejean The ABYSS (?) - Mainstream conservatives, you are HERE.
I noticed that "family values" like not cheating on your wife in Argentina or soliciting gay sex in airport bathrooms isn't on the list. Hmmmmm....I wonder why.
this particular video has nothing to do with any of that really, and you are calling TYT something they are not, which is biased. there is just so much fodder on the right, that you could do 3 hours a day making fun of it. they choose to do maybe 20-30 minutes and the rest is actual news, unlike mainstream station that run 24 hours a day and output maybe an hour or two of actual news.
I used the wrong form of of they are, I meant to say "they're". Anyway, the Dems and Obama have let me down a lot, and have not done what they promised, and have been just as big sellouts to the corporations and banks that have been running our country for the last 30 odd years. So fuck all of them, but the GOP is guilty of being so outwardly hypocritical that it's fun to watch them crash and burn. It's actually bad for our way of life, we need relevant competition.
Americans have enough variety in their opinions that I'd wager very few would meet the GOP purity standard. That is unless they word the questions really slanted, like "Would you rather have money or would you rather give it all to the gov't?"
This was in no way deceitful. You either did not watch the video, or you were so set in your opinion based on the title that you ignored all the words used. He's point out a hypocrisy. Nothing more. This was aimed at a political group, but for good reason. They set a test, their hero failed, and they pointed it out. So to sum it up, you being independent means dick, and you're not paying attention to what is going on around you. Shut up if you have nothing constructive to say. I win, you lose.
Sorry youre too blind to see that The Young Turds sole purpose is to malign the GOP. Being fair, one would have to admit that Obama and the DNC possess their fair share of hypocrisy as well. Obama is in office nearly 1 year but dont see even 1 video questioning his Presidency. Not 1. Why? Because TYTs are lame duck freakin tools.
Now be a good little sheep and keep your comments to yourself. I really could care less what you think.
You assume I'm a democrat, and lean to any one side. If you did not assume that, what I have said stands as a logical comment according to your logic. You call them biased, but if you watch their show, they are nothing of the sort. In fact, their probably the only people that present good news besides printed word, or the BBC. The GOP doesn't need anyone to shit on them, they do a good enough job themselves. As far as Obama, he's failed in a lot of ways, but thats another comment box.
Good try guy but TYTs videos and their viewers comments are equally as hypocritical as those they attempt to defame, and tell a very different story than the fairy tale you're trying to sell me...
Wrong - TYT criticises the Obama administration ALL the time, particulary over the bailout/stimilus and healthcare reform... hard to miss really. But we dont care about what side gets 'bashed', we care about the issues not party lines. If you want to listen to someone who bashes one side and always defends the other then listen to Limbaugh instead
yes they do. they are a news channel and they proudly claim to be. they admit opinions, but they are a news channel. it seems a paradox, but their opinions are based on actual news, not some made up shit like fox. msnbc just kinda sucks, cnn sucks, and well the bbc is boring, as much as I like to watch it. news is part entertainment, but without good judgment thats all it becomes like fox news. besides their fox's crazy fucking views and the fact that they spin everything to the right.
Reagan was a great president. He left us with a deficit that was 3 times higher than what he inherited, he broke up unions and paved the way for corporations and banks to imperialize America, he laid the foundation for the 2008 economic crisis, pissed on the poor, and took credit for Russia's own decision to become more capitalist.
I love this purity stuff. Maybe the GOP should have an internal organization to verify purity. Then after verifying their purity fellow purist can raise their right hands as they pass showing their purity to each other and the world. Now what to do with the unpure? Oh yea Obama is a Nazi. lmao.
No. 3 on their purity list: "Market-based energy reforms by opposing cap and trade legislation".
How ironic: cap and trade was a market-based REPUBLICAN idea from the 1980s, and it turned out to be very successful at curbing sulfur dioxide emissions. It was one of the few good ideas Republicans have come up with.
In this clip I have to say the co host comes off like a Sarah Palin of co hosts by hes retarded remarks.
Way to go to try to make people see your point by going dogmatically rhetorical. Lets stick to the facts at least when we talk about history, which Reagan presidency is at this stage.
Glenn Beck is a piece of shit and a fraud. This show like most democratic or progressive shows only report what is going on and comment on it. Dumbass/pole up the ass NEOCONS just make up shit.
DOMA is extremely dangerous grounds for the Repubs to tread on, because it implies the Federal government stepping in at the state level on something not involving the constitution. Legitimate small-government independents (not the fake Glenn Beck tea party types) don't like that sort of thing. Are the Repubs going to appoint marriage czars?
On the other hand, it does expose the lie that the Republican party is interested in cutting back on government intervention in personal lives.
And, like the kid who is spoiled way too much, given way too much candy, allowed to sit around all day and get into trouble without consequences,American big business is now in serious trouble, and can't cope with the real world.
and let us not forget how reagan simultaneously destroyed the middle class.
yes, trickle down economics and corporate cart blanche let the top 5% bathe in money...
the air traffic controller strike in '81? reagan's administration was a proxy to destroy unions and labor. wages have never recovered. and now with multiple jobs, maxed out credit cards, shady mortgages and inflation, the middle class can't afford it's own products.
well, i'm a bit more partial to democracy per se. less enamored with capitalism, or the current corporatism. we need to get the lobbyists out of our government, and end the large contributions, i.e. influence.
start with $100 campaign contributions per person limit to start with.
capitalism has created a money buys politicians, justice, health care, education... etc. greed has usurped fairness, i.e. democratic governance.
The Democrats had SO MUCH opportunity after the 2008 election, and they completely bungled everything! I mean my god man to bungle so badly they had to have done it on purpose...
They are never going to do what you sent them there to do.
They have overwhelming majorities in the Congress which means they can pass any bill they want through the reconciliation process which does not require 60 votes to end a filibuster, but only a simple up or down majority vote.
Its not that Democrats cant pass legislation, its that they don't want to. We need strong Progressives in there who will crack skulls and shove strong legislation down the Republicans throat.
I hope that present and future historians will guard against revisionist history when it comes to the Reagan era. Republicans, and some Democrats, are trying to turn him into something he wasn't -- a good President.

No, Obama is YOUR President. He stole the election with campaign fraud, treachery and treason. Ron Paul is my President. He is the only man fit enough for the job.
oops. i guess lacking evidence for your far-fetched claims, you also are insane. though, ron paul is not a bad guy. i have a lot of respect for him. i agree with him on all foreign policy issues.
Actually I'm a left-anarchist (read: actual libertarian, the people called libertarian around the entire world, the people who came up with the term libertarian, NOT your capitalist-loving Paulites and Randriods), not a Democrat, and Obama IS my president, having won the election by an overwhelming margin and with a lot less alleged trickery than Bush used in 2000 and 2004. I don't necessarily WANT him to be my president (as I don't want a president, period) but he is my president.
The problem I have with Ron Paul is that his actions don't match his words.
In fact that's the problem I have with the entire libertarian movement.
One second they will be decrying corporate power, and the next they will be voting on the side of the lobbyists, and advocating deregulation of the corporations.
They repeat corporate propaganda on issues such as global warming, healthcare and so on.
They also worship Reagan, see the Heritage Foundation and/or Cato Institute.
Yeah so basically their views contradict each other. The claim they are against corporate power, but whenever the government tries to curb corporate excesses, it is the so called libertarians who are at the forefront of the opposition.
IMO the entire libertarian movement was created by those in power to break up the unity of the working class by championing ridiculous notions of fanatical individualism. Libertarians represent the rights of the rich at the expense of the rest of us.
You never see a corporation cry about individualism when they need to get something done. They use their all of their collective corporate power to push for what they want. Corporations, as a group entity, infringe on the rights of individuals every day to get what they want. Yet libertarians have no problem with that.
But when it comes to government regulations to ensure something as common sense as work safety, or collectivists workers movements such as trade unions. Libertarians are up in arms.
There is defiantly a pattern to their positions. And IMO it has very little to do with championing the rights of the individual no matter what. It has more to do with representing the rights of those with a lot of money.
I love how republicans laud Reagan like he was the second coming. Reagan was an idiot that made a mediocre president at best. His administration set the stage for the modern era of corruption in the White House. How low are your standards to admire a man like Reagan?
They love Reagan because he was the last popular, attractive Republican in office. That's why Palin reminds you of Reagan - because people's reaction to them is similar.
NO because they both came from ridiculous careers before getting into the spotlight for politics. Reagan was not great but compared to Palin he was. Palin quit politics. Why doesn't she just hide under a rock and die now? I am so tired of hearing about her, backwards, arrogant, brain-dead, retard ass.
Reagan was the first puppet in a long line of puppets. Bush, Palin, Arnie etc.. The puppet masters such as Bush snr are never popular with the moronic RNC supporter base, so they need puppets with mass appeal to keep them in their delusional state.
And Cenk's absolutely right. Reagan is overrated, he was less than average and sent the American economy into a death spiral with tax cuts on the rich, heavy spending and heavy borrowing. It's like Stalinist dear leader worship.
What we really need for a third party is "The Low-Spending Liberal Party". I'm serious, it would be as liberal as humanly possible, but without spending any money to do it. Who's with me?
You get my vote and I agree...we do need a third party that can FULLY represent the majority of the population that's in that happy little place called the MIDDLE. lol
You are so right! HOWEVER, it's gonna be a dogfight, and it's gonna get super ugly. You let a Jesse Ventura, or someother Independent gain a full head of steam, and BOTH parties will join forces to keep them out.
They'll try to shut them out, just like they've done in debates and other venues, and that's when the shit is going to hit the fan!!
I try and try and try to remain independent, but the GOP is turning into a long running JOKE. I find that my views are more expressed in the Democratic party lately (even though I think the 2 party system is destroying our country).
BTW I HATE hippies too, I can't stand the Grateful Dead, and was glad to hear Phish broke up, because they SUCKED BALLS, as do most hippy jam bands.
I agree about the 2 party system and the way campaigns are funded now-a-days. I really wish there was a viable 3rd party (or more) because it seems that it won't be long before the republicans will earn "cult" status! What's at the OTHER extreme from Hippies?
They don't suck balls. You just don't like them. I completely dislike Jay Z and most rappers (I don't even consider what they do as music), but I will never say they suck balls. A lot of people like his "music" so he must be doing something right even though I don't like it. Maybe you like Limp Bizkit, Tool, or other bands which I dislike, but that's just your taste in music. With regards to the GOP, I concur 100% with your opinion.
reagan was a cold hearted bastard who killed people in guatemala aprox 30,000, el salvador 75,000 people. support capitalism. Assassinated panama president clearly to try to take over the canal
and don't forget about the iranian hostage crisis right before his inauguration, or the iran-contra scandal, crack epidemic, etc, and the list goes on and on..

Why does this guy hate Reagan so much? I think by all standards he was a pretty good president, and that guy on the right just rips on him the whole time, which makes him look stupid. I agree with most of the things TYT says, but every time that guy co-hosts or whatever, i can hardly watch.
Reagan and Both Bushes are ALL Sarah Palin's DICKLESS and BALLESS BITCHES and PUSSIES! Sarah Palin is a SUPERIOR politician and statesman than these these ass-clown old fart geezers could ever be. She is also MORE MAN than they are and will be a SUPERIOR POTUS than they could ever be for they both wear the skirts in their families while their wives wear the pants! Palin is the MOST PURE Conservative and Republican on the planet! Palin will meet the purity principal with a 10/10!
You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail at least let our children and our children's children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done. Ron Reagan. How does Obama express how he feels about America?
I was a little concerned after the recent elections (except for that 23rd district, LOL.) However, my concerns have been relieved by things like this purity test. Between the tea-baggers, the Purity Test, and Sarah Palin's interviews, I've reached the conclusion that they've gone truly nuts.
@Asymmatrix: I was with a friend of mine the other day, talking about Palin. So, I said: "F-ck Sarah Palin." To which my friend replied: "Well, I would." He does have a point, doesn't he?
i think since republican values are so tied with the basic principles of this country, it should be required for any politician to pass this test. and if the test has things about respecting gods law, loving america, protecting liberty, and defending life. im sure obama and the national socialist democratic party would fail for sure, and cenk is lying, bush and reagen passed the test 10 out of 10, just more liberal misinformation
Tehant - 'respecting gods law, loving america, protecting liberty, and defending life' ...why are these conservative values and not liberal? I could just as easily claim these as liberal values ...well, apart from 'God's law' ..you can keep that one...
Oh and shouldn't you have capitilized his name like "God"? lawl at you, you're not a true christian/cuntservative/republicunt, you're just a troll and you've just been exposed.
"Republican values" (the values of the party) are not "republican values" (the values of the republic).
God DAMN, guys, pay attention to the fact that the two parties named themselves for what the country is, a democratic republic. Hell, the Democrats were the Democratic Republicans in the early 1800's before shortening the name (it is a mouthful), and the Republicans named themselves for the preservation of the republic during the Civil War era.
Ironically he was trying to insinuate everything left of the Republicans are "National socialists"(Nazi)
In the same verse he asked for purity tests and then claimed "God was on his side" word for word what the Vermarcht had on their belts in WW2. lol
He has no idea what Nazism was outside Becks rants. All he knows is that people with his party affiliation got called it a few yrs ago (rightly so in response to the patriot act) so now he wants to say it back.
Its sad to say this but the republican party is lost and gone. Republicans are clueless to the issues and outdated by far. I think I may leave the GOP for the libertarian party because people they seem more reasonable and open to people who are center right like me. The republicans seem to crazy, clueless, cruel, inarticulate, and in SOME cases intolerant. If the party wants to be totally conservative and purge itself of moderates then go ahead commit suicide. But I wont go down with the party.
No, He was not a good president because his voodoo economics wrecked the economy for generations, while creating a jobless boom, and his administration was assisting terrorists.
He was a bad president because he was a corporate shill, there to make the rich richer while spouting "family values" even though his first marriage fell apart possibly due to philandering.
I'm just saying if he's gonna diss Reagan, he should be critical about it. Say shit that actually matters and that actually IS a hinderance to his capabilities as a president, or cite proof that he was a bad president. "He's been gone mentally for 20 years," "he's dead," and "he was never in a war" are pathetic stupid comments that don't have shit to do with anything and definitely shouldn't be in politics.
You know Reagan supported gay rights and one of his employees (Fred Karger) was gay and a gay rights activist...
he'd be shot dead for it today by the GOP

this particular video has nothing to do with any of that really, and you are calling TYT something they are not, which is biased. there is just so much fodder on the right, that you could do 3 hours a day making fun of it. they choose to do maybe 20-30 minutes and the rest is actual news, unlike mainstream station that run 24 hours a day and output maybe an hour or two of actual news.
thecellarlife 2 years ago
I used the wrong form of of they are, I meant to say "they're". Anyway, the Dems and Obama have let me down a lot, and have not done what they promised, and have been just as big sellouts to the corporations and banks that have been running our country for the last 30 odd years. So fuck all of them, but the GOP is guilty of being so outwardly hypocritical that it's fun to watch them crash and burn. It's actually bad for our way of life, we need relevant competition.

It is November 24 2009 and Obama is sending us down the freakin river. What is this ahole lib doing? bashing Ronald Reagan..
Reagan is DEAD moron. Can you be any more of a inept democratic tool?!
This comes from an Independent who finds you as pathetic and deceitful as the far right!
rockyljp 2 years ago
This was in no way deceitful. You either did not watch the video, or you were so set in your opinion based on the title that you ignored all the words used. He's point out a hypocrisy. Nothing more. This was aimed at a political group, but for good reason. They set a test, their hero failed, and they pointed it out. So to sum it up, you being independent means dick, and you're not paying attention to what is going on around you. Shut up if you have nothing constructive to say. I win, you lose.
thecellarlife 2 years ago
Sorry youre too blind to see that The Young Turds sole purpose is to malign the GOP. Being fair, one would have to admit that Obama and the DNC possess their fair share of hypocrisy as well. Obama is in office nearly 1 year but dont see even 1 video questioning his Presidency. Not 1. Why? Because TYTs are lame duck freakin tools.
Now be a good little sheep and keep your comments to yourself. I really could care less what you think.
rockyljp 2 years ago
You assume I'm a democrat, and lean to any one side. If you did not assume that, what I have said stands as a logical comment according to your logic. You call them biased, but if you watch their show, they are nothing of the sort. In fact, their probably the only people that present good news besides printed word, or the BBC. The GOP doesn't need anyone to shit on them, they do a good enough job themselves. As far as Obama, he's failed in a lot of ways, but thats another comment box.
thecellarlife 2 years ago
Good try guy but TYTs videos and their viewers comments are equally as hypocritical as those they attempt to defame, and tell a very different story than the fairy tale you're trying to sell me...
rockyljp 2 years ago
Wrong - TYT criticises the Obama administration ALL the time, particulary over the bailout/stimilus and healthcare reform... hard to miss really. But we dont care about what side gets 'bashed', we care about the issues not party lines.

He loved it like a parent loves a spoiled child.
He gave big business everything it wanted.
He let management of Big Business become lazy.
He let Big Business get too powerful

And, like the kid who is spoiled way too much, given way too much candy, allowed to sit around all day and get into trouble without consequences,American big business is now in serious trouble, and can't cope with the real world.

and let us not forget how reagan simultaneously destroyed the middle class.
yes, trickle down economics and corporate cart blanche let the top 5% bathe in money...
the air traffic controller strike in '81? reagan's administration was a proxy to destroy unions and labor. wages have never recovered. and now with multiple jobs, maxed out credit cards, shady mortgages and inflation, the middle class can't afford it's own products.

well, i'm a bit more partial to democracy per se. less enamored with capitalism, or the current corporatism. we need to get the lobbyists out of our government, and end the large contributions, i.e. influence.

CrawdaddyJoe 2 years ago
I voted for Ron Paul myself in the primary, and like him a lot more than Obama actually, but don't be a moron.
Bleuski 2 years ago
The problem I have with Ron Paul is that his actions don't match his words.
In fact that's the problem I have with the entire libertarian movement.
One second they will be decrying corporate power, and the next they will be voting on the side of the lobbyists, and advocating deregulation of the corporations.
They repeat corporate propaganda on issues such as global warming, healthcare and so on.
They also worship Reagan, see the Heritage Foundation and/or Cato Institute.
Seleucus84 2 years ago
Wouldnt voting for deregulation technically be a libertarian viewpoint? Dont they want the smallest possible government?
BunsterByne 2 years ago
Yeah so basically their views contradict each other. The claim they are against corporate power, but whenever the government tries to curb corporate excesses, it is the so called libertarians who are at the forefront of the opposition.
IMO the entire libertarian movement was created by those in power to break up the unity of the working class by championing ridiculous notions of fanatical individualism. Libertarians represent the rights of the rich at the expense of the rest of us.
Seleucus84 2 years ago 2
You never see a corporation cry about individualism when they need to get something done. They use their all of their collective corporate power to push for what they want. Corporations, as a group entity, infringe on the rights of individuals every day to get what they want. Yet libertarians have no problem with that.
Seleucus84 2 years ago 2
But when it comes to government regulations to ensure something as common sense as work safety, or collectivists workers movements such as trade unions. Libertarians are up in arms.
There is defiantly a pattern to their positions. And IMO it has very little to do with championing the rights of the individual no matter what. It has more to do with representing the rights of those with a lot of money.
Seleucus84 2 years ago 2
im not disagreeing, but give an example of a Corporation that infringed on the rights of individuals to get what they want, just one example!
