I have always wondered why in those days, no prisoners ever considered torching the palace? If I was locked in a room.... with any kind of fire, I would set the room on fire, and try to burn the whole place down! If you are going to be executed the next day, why not go out in a blaze!
yes, basically Anne boleyn's 1st cousin was elizabeths 2nd cousin as she was her mother, and because henry married anne's cousin, Daughter of the duke of norfolk, Katherine became elizabeths step mother. i see not how i was wrong in my comment, if that is what you were pointing out.
Oh! That is bizarre, I was just thinking about Vincent Price. He does sound so different to his spooky ending on MJ's 'Thriller' here. The man was a legend. I must check out some video's of Vincent here on Youtube.
@MotherEarth1000 It isn't Vincent Price - it is the voice of the actor Dave Daly who told ghost and mystery stores under the pseudonym 'Witchfinder General' on England's Radio Staffordshire in the 1990s. Sorry to disappoint.
I have been to Hampton Court meny times and The tour Guides were dressed up Tudor costumes. I am 50/50 about the Ghost that the cctv caught. It could have been one of the tour guides opening the doors. I may be wrong, it might have been a ghost but im just voicing my opinions.
I was there in october I ended up alone in the gallery (it was almost closing time around 5 pm )I almost fainted due to a strange and sudden cold that came over me and I had the chance to snap some very intresting pictures One is the top half of a person (no face) walking away from the chapel no legs or bottom half can be seen. To all uk residents you rock! I Had a lovely time in your country! blessed be!
if you ever go back....try talking to the various guards/ night watchmen.......I used to live nearby and got talking to one of the guards who told me an amazing ( or horrific ) story of how he was thrown around a room by a poltergeist. Plenty of people have seen the figure emerging from the river Thames which is most probably the ghost of a poor woman condemned as a witch and burned as happened in medieval times. I would be very interested to see your the photographs.
I've been to Hampton court. I also felt something very unearthy in the haunted gallery. I'm pretty sure it was Catherine howard. p.s I did not know it was the haunted gallery I was in until later when I asked someone where the haunted gallery was.

It isn't Vincent Price - it is the actor Dave Daly who told these stories on evening radio, on England's Radio Staffordshire, in the 1990s.

Those women in the period of Henry 8th didn't even wear heels like what was heard, the story is just that- a story. A good one, though.

OMG: this is so full of factual errors!! You well and truly got your history of the Palace muddled.

is dis real?

it cannot be proven
although they have noticed a strange reading in the air
and they set up cctv cameras and spotted a ghost walking through fire exits and back in;.
