my two favourite albums are Room for Squares and Battle Studies.
It's great to see the polarisation, but he's always been brilliant. Some of the songwriting on Room for Squares is so complex and unexpected from a pop guy like him, and then the songwriting on Battle Studies is...for the most part, perfect. There are so many perfect songs on that album, it's just awesome.
@HuckleberrySlim well for me his first cd is the greatest... the lyrics and the melodies are really unite at that date... nowadays there's several artists trying to do music like he did, but they can... hopefully, jm is unique
