bowhunter42995, do you use a 200lb draw bow to hunt? A slingbow can take down a deer easy. It's just like using a recurve or longbow, just rubber instead of a bent stick for power. On the other hand, it doesn't show his equipment, an arrow, or nothing, and looks almost like a gunshot wound on the neck, cant tell in the video too well...

I'm a hunter too. I manage to get very close to deer without a problem. Don't really even have to sneak up on them. I got to within about 10 feet of one two weeks ago on the golf course. If hunting with a 3 iron was legal I could have taken him. They aren't all that stealthy. They get taken out by cars on the road leading our house all the time.

to all the comments about the jacket and camo.....it doesn't matter if deer are color blind or not. The orange jacket is one big chunk of solid color in a broken up background. It's not always about the colors as much as a pattern that blends in with the background.

Can't determine how the deer was killed, but unless it was a solid head shot from less than 25 yards, I sincerely doubt it was killed by a projectile other than an arrow from a sling-shot. I have hunted rabbits with various and steady upgrades over several decades and would not aim at a deer because it would be a wounding shot only and mandate the deer die slowly. Same as them starving to death without culling the herds. But yet, a strong sling-shot has enough power to kill with an arrow.

For people saying deer are color blind. They are color blind but pick up on solid color patterns like his vest that doesnt break up human silhouette at all. And this is probably real. You can buy hunts from fenced in deer farms with big corn fed deer that are dumb as rocks that have no intinctive traits what so ever.

Whitetail deer have poor eyesight.

That's why deer hunters wear the fluorescent orange gear...to keep from being shot by other hunters.

The deer don't see the orange well at all.

They smell and hear extremely well, though.
