  • looks like something ftom a pink floyd movie

  • *Knock Knock*

    Who's there?

This video and it fucking blows!

  • really gay..... I am sad this would happen to such a great poem...

  • @tdspyder01 Gay in which sense?

  • @tdspyder01 Yeah, how's it gay? -.- I'M not gay, but seriously? By any chance, are you a homophobe?

  • i don't like thisat all cause .....i never heard the story before and i can't understand what they are saying...really really bad idea

  • @msbrelovesu95 You should check out The Raven, it's a really good poem and very thought provoking as well

  • I love this.

  • Wow, Paint and Windows Movie Maker!? Well done, I love this poem so much and this is amazing!! :D

  • The guy singing the Raven sounds just like Eric Woolfson but its not him.Same withe the APP song "What goes up"thats not him either.

  • this song is sweet!

  • i dont like it ....

  • @porkiejordie13 What's not to like about this video? To me; the animation looks very nice, the pacing is spot on and the song itself is great

  • Edgar Allen Poe must have had it HAAAARD. that dude was tortured dayand night by stuff that would normally scare the living fuck out of other people. thats why i love his work so much. he has to be the scariest story wrighter ever to exist. to hell with stephen king.

  • @MrAlchemist009 This album has kept me sane during times of emotional turmoil since I was 19! I'm now 49! Its not only scary it touches deeper darker parts in the psyche that can be incredibly liberating!

  • most epic.i has been pwned

  • Why do I adore Edgar Allan Poe?

He created the Baltimore Ravens :D

  • Epic Allen Poe

  • >:|

  • WHAT THE BLOODY CRAP IS THIS!!!!!!???

  • @Monopoly907 ask your mom :)

  • excellent work - thank you so much. LOVE the alan parsons project homage to this great poem! many thanks :-)

  • Seriously friggin' flippin' funkin' fudgin' awesome!! I have listened to this at least 30 times now doing some homework. Truly Brilliant.

  • Very funny

  • the music you used for this poem doesn't fit the mood of the poem to me it sounds to cheery. it makes me smile not cower in fear.

  • @wolvesrule666

The song he picked is, in fact, "The Raven," by Alan Parsons Project, from "Tales of Mystery and Imagination," 1976. Every song on the album is based on a Poe story or poem.

If you feel the music doesn't fit Poe's dark atmosphere - I agree - but you should probably direct your criticism to Alan Parsons rather than the creator of this video. : )

  • omg this sounds so cool, it could be a song. [=

  • @12markito

It is, by The Alan Parsons Project.

  • I honestly thought I'd hate this when I clicked on it (I had just heard the Christopher Walken reading... so standards were high!) but I can sincerely say I was shocked by the quality of this ... Goes without saying I'm keeping this. Very well done! Extremely well done? Might very well say so ... Wow! =) cheers!

  • Cool! Love the music!^^

  • GREAT !!!

  • REALLY CREATIVE !!! FUNNY , AT MOMENTS BETWEEN THE RAVEN AND MAN , EXCELLENT !!! THIS FILM IS REALLY COOL !!! THANK YOU FOREVERMORE

  • This would make a great halloween vid

  • omg i dont think it was sopose to be funny but i thought it was so amazing i couldnt stop smiling and gigleing

  • Amazing modern representation of this poem

  • very good music , very good video!

    nevermore!

  • i must echo the "shite" sentiment posted earlier.... uh-uh.

  • no he doesnt die but rather insane

  • Both the song and the animations are awesome. I had no idea that this song existed until I found this last year

  • what a shite

  • So does he die?

  • wierd, but cool.

  • nice!

  • Nice animation, simple but shows you know well the poem and inspirations, overall it's good idea that you used Poe himself as main character. This would have been intriguing for the songwriter of this, Eric Woolfson, which wrote a musical called Edgar Allan Poe (now running in Germany) which is a crossover of Poe's life and works. Even the original "Tales" had this intention somehow.

  • powerful.

  • Alan Parsons Project?Or what?

  • Yes, music is by The Alan Parsons Project

  • Egon? = Norkam highschool?

  • our teacher showed this to my class last week they all liked it

  • fantastic!!!

  • That's lovely! I've always enjoyed the Poe inspired Allan Parson's album, and this is beautifully done!

  • nice animation poor soundtrack

  • Yeah I like the animation but I've just never gotten into this Allan Parson's rendition, Sorry.

  • What other renditions are there? I have found them. Let me know about your treasures.

  • Well there's Christopher Walken's of course, not to mention Vincent Price's.

Probably my all time favorite reading of The Raven would have to be

Basil Rathbone's rendition from The Edgar Allan Poe audio collection put out by Caedmon Audio which you can probably also find here on YouTube.

  • 1. Basil Rathbone

    2. Vincent Price

    3. John Astin

    4. Christopher Walken

    5. James Earl Jones

  • Same. I expected to hear a regular reading...

  • Name a better sound track.

  • wow, How did you do this?

  • utterly fantastic job.....awesome awesome

  • A very very fine video. Very good representation of the poem. I gave you 5 stars.

    SailoCostigam

  • lol haha

  • This great mate well done!

    David

  • As a teacher, I can see using this as an after reading and discussing kind of activity. By this time the kiddos will know what is going on as they watch. Great job to whoever made this!

  • What's sad, is that this was actually shown in class at my high-school.

    Damn that bird mouthing 'never-more'

  • Isn't that the music from the 'allan parson project' (yes it is)

  • Quelle magnifique chanson... J'adore l'écouter...

Et aussi, la vidéo est bien faite... Mais je préfère la musique ! ^^
