wow...awesome driving. Only thing is, work on the trailbraking in the final hairpin; I noticed you were WAY outside coming out on both laps. Granted, it wasn't much of a problem, but if there was a car right under there, it could've been. (P.S. Don't think of me as a critic, I know I can't do better.)
(P.P.S. I know that sounds hypocritical, but whatever...)
This video was kinda cheating, I had traction control and RM tires.. Check out my newer Supra / GT-R videos where I use sports tires and / or no traction control.
you can do the same thing with a lightly modifed mustang...well...i'm good with my fords...but you have better drivin in this car...do you use a pressure sensitive controller cause I don't see any of the throttle control that I love to use in these games..it's either all the way on or all the way off
I do have a standard PS2 controller that's pressure sensitive.. It's a bit worn out, and I find that I do better (usually) with the binary driving style.
Yah that's true, especially when you lay off the gas before going into a turn, It kinda feels like drifting. It's trilling and challenging at the same time.
Definitely not! I have a capture card in my PC. I run the race, and then capture the replay to a lossless AVI file on my computer. I then de-interlace the video, crop out the black bars, and edit it all together in Premiere.
Then I output a final lossless AVI, and encode it to the XviD codec with MP3 for the audio, per YouTube's reccomendations. It looks like shit compared to the original after YouTube gets done with it, but what can you do? :)
Great. To the credit of the Ford GT, this car was modified - it had racing tires, stage 3 clutch and flywheel.
However, do notice that the Ford GT was a lot faster in the straights.. which doesn't really matter because the NSX-R corners and comes out of corners like a missile.
This video was an attempt to highlight what a lightweight 300hp MR car with nearly perfect balance and flat power/torque curves can do, even against cars with over 500hp.
Yah sure, my 486hp NSX-R concept vs. 499hp Ford GT in TT mode on deep forest, same tires, stock suspension, and O for driving aid. Hm, the Ford GT didn't appear in my rear view mirror.
Oh yah, that's what makes GT4 so fun to play, in fact, it's the game I play the most. I also watched the lap battles from japan on youtube. It's amazing how well developed the game is. Now they just need to work on visual damage for their next game.
the SLR seems quite slow through the corners

Exactly, I like using the pressure sensitive. It makes it seem more real.

Thanks! I think my favorite part is the engine response.

Hey did you turn off the understeer, oversteer, and traction control off? It's amazing how better it handles.
NSX86R 4 years ago
I did, the NSX is MUCH better at handling without traction control. Of course, you can't just stand on it, and expect the car to not oversteer :)

No real surprise there. The GT is much heavier, and the NSX-R is a real monster. Even in mostly stock form (in this video) it tears it up.
I can even do it with stock tires :)
