truly --this is the spirit of the forgiveness that Jesus Christ teaches and died for....
God Bless the vision of the people of Faith Christian....and let's continue to pray for the boys future!!!..My heart is warmed....rich and full....I hope to shake the Faith Christian coaches hand some day....
I learned of this story when my priest mentioned it in his homily 2 Sundays ago. With all the bad happening in this world, it is refreshing to hear of a story like this. Why didn't this get more attention in the national news? That's ONE of the problems with this world. And for this to happen in Texas where football is taken so seriously even at the high school level, is amazing. Thank God for all the parents who attended that game and rooted for the opposing team. You are very special people.
Just saw this story today. As a teacher in Katy ISD this story made a huge impact on me today seeing how one man's idea can have such an impact on this group and in the community. Wow!
An amazing story of how making someone feel worthy, will inspire and encourage to make positive change no matter what happened in the past. A great lesson for juveniles and adults.
man i cant believe this happend...i used to play for the gainesville tornadoes. i was starting 3 years straight. i was released before we made it to this game...much respect for my coach....coach williams and coach scott....
Yes we can reach the youth. Also let us reach them before they go down the wrong road. the info in the new book about Total Victory Perspective can help regenerate the future youth
Yes!!! You all won the game when you burst thru the spirit line. I wish I could have been there to cheer you on. You need this encouragement, even when no one is around to tell you you're great. That's Who the Comforter is (John14:16). Believe & keep remembering okay!
Wow - what a wonderful and heartfelt story. I know one of the coaches from Gainesville. I saw a grown man cry and he still lights up when he tells the story - Movie material for sure!
THIS NEEDS TO BE MADE INTO A MOTION PICTURE! film is one of the best ways of communication in this day and age. think about the impact this could have only non believers if this was made into a big motion picture! SOMEONE GET STEVEN SPIELBURG ON THIS!
They are actually in talks with both of the Head Coaches to make a Movie. I believe it is either Paramount or Dreamworks. I was able to speak with the coach from Grapevine Faith and they were talking as early as last year about it.
Absolutely inspiring!!! Being a sports parent of 3 kids, I know that inspiration of your child is so very important, no matter the outcome of the contest. KUDOS to all fans, parents, students, and faculty of the opposing school for showing their love and support to these young men.
What a great coach to be able to see that opportunity coming and give his fans the opportunity to support Gainsville State. How many coaches would have missed that opportunity... Hats off to the detention center directors for putting this team together and advocating for these young men to be able to play. The young men will forever be blessed because of the opportunity that has been given.
This is an excellent story. It is very inspiring. My hope and prayer is that God's people everywhere can be inspired and get out of their selfish ways and serve God in ways that really counter this selfish, sinful culture. Many people want to see more of this kind of news, and not the stuff that tickles, tantalizes and temps our base, selfish, sinful nature as human beings.
hey guys this game is coming up next friday again, faith vs gainseville! Let's go cheer for these boys!

Fantastic leadership by both coaches. By word and example. This act benefited everyone who was involved...it even added value to the viewers!
