  • puzzle much?

  • In simulations 200 million years from now the continents come back together again.

  • You spelt Pangaea wrong.

  • lol its funny watching mainstream educated people comment on something like this, almost like going back in time to when the earth was "flat"

  • eso esta en wikipedia weon

  • What about Hawaii? If we couldn't see it rising from the ocean right before our eyes I'm sure they would say where it used to be attached to. I know that plates move and I'm sure that some land masses did separate just as others surely slammed together. I just find it hard to believe that before the earth had water 100% of the area above future sea levels were connected.

  • @giuffre714 hawaii is made at a constructive plate margin, where two oceanic plates move apart to form new land mass & volcanoes :)

  • @iamaflowerpot Yep, and if we were not seeing this as it happens we would surely have picked a fake place where Hawaii broke off. This type of activity has been happening all along. Do you believe that before the earth had liquid water all land that was above sea level was all in the same place? It wouldn't be true on any other planet.

  • so whats on the other side when its all clamped together? How come there is only landmass on one side of the earth? Maybe the land began to spread out when the earth started spinning

  • Hollow Earth!!! The last frontier!

  • damn when the continents of pangea were mad at eachother the went their seprete ways and india got someone new

  • I think that you have to consider the under water parts changes of the plates. you insisted on showing the parts as they exist today, in general.

even though, the project is 3rd grade; i hold those third graders to perfection!!!

  • wtf ?!

    0:12

  • the earth GREW idiot

  • @AndersonFamily12 yeah, and the water magicly came out from the rocks!

  • Comment removed

  • @AndersonFamily12 what the fuck, the earth grew in it's earlyist from the early archean to the proterozoic eon by absorbing matter from the asteroid belt, your the idiot, how the fuck could it grow, it doesn't grow any more because it has absorbed all the matter it can. Your such a fucking dumb ass!

It was accepted by the majority of the Geoscientific community when the concepts of seafloor spreading were developed in the late 1950s and early 1960s

  • @CrypticCinematics WELL I DONT GIVE A CRAP SHUT THE HELLL UP WHAT WOULD YOU FEEL IF I CALLED YOU DUMB ASS YOU CRAPHEAD i get mean comments all the time GIVE ME A GODAMN BREAK

  • @AndersonFamily12 And no, you shut the hell up, at least I'm not the one who has the fucked knowledge to believe in such a fucked up theory!

  • @CrypticCinematics

Couldn't have said it better myself! XD

  • @joshanator1 ha ha, I spammed him with chinese. ;D

  • @AndersonFamily12 wtf are u talking about? when did so many people start believing in that bull shit earths growing nonsense..

  • lies.. earth grew

  • @Chacha5678 its real but this video is retarded

  • @GuineaForce no, i believe in the theory that the earth is growing. i dont believe in continental drift

  • @Chacha5678 thats a wierd theory, is it religious or something?

  • @GuineaForce nope. search on youtube for "earth is growing theory" and you'll see what i mean

  • @GuineaForce Everything is expanding along with your waistline...the earth is no different. =P

  • @Chacha5678 no one gives a shit if u beleive in the idea that the earth is growing or not, cuz the entire geo-science community supports and is backed up by evidence for continental drift..

  • @cabot2jville2010 well you never know in the future. the earth may not be growing but continental drift may not be the mechanism either. as science changes as we find out new things. in the past, people laughed at that guy who suggested Earth was round, too

  • @Chacha5678 Sorry, but no cultures have ever believed the earth was flat. The historic society named it in their top ten most falsely believed historical views.

  • @kaderoder i think that is bullshit. where did you hear this from

  • @JackOCarnihan A program called QI (Quite Interesting) hosted by Stephen Fry. The particular episode and series number escape me, as i continually watch episode after episode. Ancient people's were very observant with regards to the world around them, the flat earth is a modern concept.

  • @kaderoder Before Columbus discovered the Americas in the 1400s, people thought that if you went too far into the Atlantic ocean, you would fall off the edge of the world.

  • @JackOCarnihan That is a commonly held belief, however it is not true. Do you really think in a world full of ships and shipping lifestyle, that thoughtful folk couldnt tell the earth was round? Ancients built pyramids but lack the inspiration to make that mental leap of thought? It is an odd notion. I do not feel there is a point to this other than the lies we are told seem, by themselves, just silly. If you step back and look at the bigger picture, all history has been tampered with. But why?

  • @kaderoder Why? What possible reason could there be for history being 'tampered' with to make people belief others thought the earth flat? I don't know. I don't particularly care. It must be some pretty obscure reason... That's not the point. The point is... ugh... what was it again guys?

  • Comment removed

  • @Chacha5678 fact, the earth did not grow, what are you fucking talking about, what your saying is the lie. You think you can change peoples minds? Well your wrong. This was a theory for until continental drift was accepted by the majority of the Geoscientific community when the concepts of seafloor spreading were developed in the late 1950s and early 1960s. It is now just a stupid myth with hardly any evidence behind it when plate tectonics is!

  • Here's how it works- enter: expanding earth

  • South America will separate themselves from the rest.

    My theory *_*

  • india?

  • but also if u look at south america u can see that it would fit like a puzzle piece into africa

  • all of the plates are moving in different directions. some are moving up and soem are moving down while others are smashing against otehr plates which will cause an earth quake.... we r moving about 3cm every year... but there will be a time way in the furture were soem of the continents will morph together again before being ripped away again

  • Here's my theory: The earth was hit by another celestial body resulting in the moon and half of the land mass on earth. Centrifigal forces are pulling the continents apart. Once equillibrium is reached the plates will stop moving and the earths core will begin to cool and eventually "die". Its that simple. Why geologists haven't thoght of this blows my mind.

  • How could centrifigal forces pull continents away from each other?

  • ever sit on a merry go round going really fast when you were a kid? If your not sitting exactly in the center centifigal force pushes you to the outside, and off if your not holding on tight. Same concept.

  • Yes I know what centrifugal forces are...

What I met was that if the movement of continental plates was caused by centrifugal forces wouldn't all plates be moveing in the same direction?

  • @1crazycaveman Maybe because ITS WRONG

  • No wonder there are African artifacts on each continent.

  • Ok and what happened to the ocean floor on the other side?

  • subduction!

  • I did bro and got the same results

  • Africa rotates and moves to the upper right.

  • That's one hell of an implausible theory. That the continents would have scraped down the whole rest of the Earth's ocean floor into the magma while maintaining it's exact shape. Why not just scrap the subduction theory right now.

  • @Chaanee

why not scrape what every you said about continents and ocean floors, and keep the plate tectonic theory

  • @gregrutz Because it seems so faulty.

  • notice how africa is the only land mass the never move, that is interesting. Now I know why it is called the Motherland.

  • You better look again.

  • funny

  • It is a great animation. However, you messed it up when you inserted that dialog box. It blocks the view.

  • everyone look at this Conspiracy of Science - Earth is in fact growing

THE EARTH GREW THIS SCIENCE YOU WATCH IS WRONG! for not all you learn in schools is true remember that my friends

for all the LANDS MEETS UP!

prove me wrong watch: Conspiracy of Science - Earth is in fact growing

befor you prove me wrong though

  • the earth isnt growing. thats the most retarded theory i have evr heard. dont be so gullible

  • research expanding earth theory, before commenting on this again! so your views will be broader!

  • what did the earth eat to grow so much?

  • nothing Heat Makes things expand!

older = greater expiation because of heat and cooling suffices

  • ever heat up an iron bar and measure how much it expands? Not much.

  • research expanding earth theory, before commenting on this again! so your views will be broader!

  • @420bmxer

    Why? How does dirt expand?

  • research expanding earth theory, before commenting on this again! so your views will be broader!

  • @gregrutz what did it eat to get where it is now? lol

  • @gregrutz

    mud pies! XD

  • Did you know that geologist have yet to come up with a satisfactory "triggering mechanism" that supposedly causes the earth to break up into plates all on its own and move them around? So this means this whole darn hypothesis is entirely incomplete. It's what I would call SCIENCE FICTION.

  • L2Geology.

  • Dude there is tons of evidence for this. Fossils, ocean ridges, ocean trenches, Ancient glaciers. Tons

  • Tons of evidence? LOL! And that's why the National Academy of Science (NAS) 4 years ago launched a call for scientific papers and research to find an alternative hypothesis to continental drift/plate tectonics that NAS has deemed "INADEQUATE", because it does not properly explain the initial proto-triggering mechanism for fracturization which has NEVER been explained by anyone in the entire geological field.

  • That's not true, we have mapped the ocean floor, and we have actually seen it move, very slowly though. So in this case we actually know it is moving. You are completely disregarding the fossils of 300 million year old animals and plants, that are on completely different continents, matching rock structure of completely different continents

  • Not true? Sorry, but I have the actual NAS documents right in front of me sent from the NAS headquarters in D.C., and they specifically state the defficiency of the current model.

  • Yeah, we have actually seen the tectonic plates move, we may not know what causes them to move, but they still do. I meant when I made my first comment, that there is lots of evidence for the break up of pangea and the theory of plate tectonics. Not that there is lots of evidence for the triggering mechanism.

  • No I'm not kidding! What if an 8 year old 3rd grader has to do his report on Pangea and relies on this video for his grade! It's no wonder that our school system has deteriorated here in the U.S. of A. Pangea did not collapse on itself five times! If it did Appellation Mountains would be as high as the Himalayas~!

  • lmao they showed it more than once so u can get a better look

  • Then they should just play it once! Why are they trying to confuse us "laymen"? I think that's why there is a button called "Replay" right?

  • If find this hard to believe. How can all the continents group up and tear apart five times! I'm afraid this doesn't make much sense to me.

  • They don't come back together five times, the animation simply restarts. Yeesh.

  • Please tell me you're kidding. Please.

  • it didnt they just replayed it so u could see it more than once anbd get the idea. geez

  • if a kid cant extract the horrifically well hidden concept that the video might be restarting, then hes an idiot. and this is the internet. if you cant get the basic concept that grammer isnt as relevant as the point that ur makin, then u shouldnt be here

  • There is no "." between the words "idiot" and "and". You forgot to capitalize the "I" in If twice. The word "ur" is spelled "your". You forgot to add a "g" at the end of "makin". The word "u" is spelled "you". You forgot an apostropy on the word "shouldnt" and "isnt" and you didn't end your comment with a period.

You're right.. "Grammer isnt as relevant as the point that ur makin".

  • its obvious ur doing smthn w/ur life

  • pangea.. given the earths rotation it makes no sense that all the land mass is one side ...

  • No, Just no. we have seen plates go under each other in subduction zones. Stars, don't expand, planets don't, what expands is the space in between them.

  • Actually stars do expand at the core, but they burn off gasses on the surface, so they are in a constant state of change... Our universe is expanding... And to say planets don't when you walk on the face of the Earth for a mere gigasecond if you consider the Earth's lifetime in the span of a year, how could you even make that statement? I'm not saying it does, I'm saying to be open minded.

  • Comment removed

  • Pangaea is a false theory.

  • rofl no its not they found proof. Scientists say that the contienents are moving about 1.2cm a year.

  • Or could it be that that the Earth is expanding at 1.2cm a year.

  • rock does not grow.

  • Believe in Creationism too do we?

  • Sorry, no. The only thing created in creationism is the hallucination that some controlling power exists and puppets our sense of free will.

  • The continents aren't floating around on the ocean! Believe it or not, there is land under the water. That means the continents are ALL CONNECTED!!!!!

  • The continents are on top of plates. Water is also on top of plates.

  • Also, the Mediterranean in reality opened up as Africa separated from Europe whereas the animator here makes it appear as though that sea is shrinking. In all probability, the Pacific is more recent than the Atlantic and shows the greatest amount of sea-floor spreading. See the USGS site.

  • observe closely how the animator made africa slide up against a few smaller pieces to connect with Europe. Instead of proving 'eggs on a skillet' theory, he only proved that the earth expanded. Look closer what the animator did with both gulfs surrounding Arabia. Why does he make them come together when in reality it separates?

  • India flies across the ocean lol

  • boobanga!

  • Awesome
