Good Job you made it clear and simple, very helpful. My company policy on chaining is Rear Drive tire singles only and one single on the trailer outside tire. If we need triples and a steer tire than we shouldn't be driving. Just wait it out a couple hours then go. This is a Utah to Wyoming run to Wamsetter over Parleys summit near Park City Utah and I -80 past Rock Springs Wyoming.

Must be a different set of chains as the ones I was issued have simple hooks at the end as opposed to that stamped device.

Leger huh? They delivered to the Goodyear/Exel here in Victorville quite regularly when I worked there a few years ago.

@bentstrider well, I used the most common type of chains available out there. VictorVille in CA ? Leger is no more ... they went bancrupt in November 2010 :(

Very informative thanks . We have some chains at our company but they don;t have that locking device and tightening system so they are much harder to put on . Do you know who the manufactor is of that style chains . I'm in the UK so if anyone knows of a stockist as well that would be really helpful . Thanks

Like always, great video. Putting or installing the chains reminds me of the Ice Road Truckers show.. And man, after looking at it trucking in Europe makes me laugh! I was looking for a challenge, and all i got in Europe (at least in the southeastern part of it-Balkans, etc) was sheer BOREDOM, and a lot of paperwork and delayed paychecks! Sucks as hell, so i`m really looking at taking my chance in USA/Canada..

@stefanDMS Do not generalize if your knowledge ain't enough, check out what kind of vehicles are used up north in Fin and S, we cannot afford to play with 40t Euro-mopeds without talking 'bout the vehicle on this vid and its gvw as low as 80000lbs/36.3t - it's not even an average payload 4 us.

This guy installs his chains right tho' he calls cams as "locking devices", i.e. starting at 1:54 the lever/lock or whatever it is on his hand. The key is the direction of rotation which ain't clear 4 all
