  • Those kiai's (that's what I'm gonna call them) are actually there to lull the unwary into a sense of false confidence.

"Oh, listen to this guy flail his limbs, this'll be eas-" *WHAM*

    "Why is everything so light?"

  • 1:29 - 1:37

    please get him his medication

  • How ironic Melchor lost to Masato through leg kicks

  • muay thai owns all

  • yep it might sound funny but i wonder how would you be screaming if Melchor throw hat elbows and knees on you XD.

  • 1:28 is super funny ahm ahm ash ash

  • u know wats scary? muay thia was based on the ancient martial art muay boran, but changed so that it wasnt as deadly so it could b used for sport. and muay thia is still one of the most deadly martial arts in the world, imagine muay boran... lol

  • This is just Muay Thai!!! Lolz

  • The common theme to all these videos I see is an abundance of "Internet Tough Guys".

  • ahm ahm ahm ahm ahm ahm!!!! aysh aysh aysh!!! aysh aysh aysh!! ahmonon mon mon mon mon mon!! ay!! ay!!

    hu!! huh!!

    THIS IS MUAY THAI

  • Ahahahahaha. Lots of sneezes between the strikes.

  • @cormano64 you are an idiot. mel can prolly ko you WITH a sneeze hahaha.

  • out of sync

  • amazing, cept i dont like how they matched a knee to a kick. thats not even close to one another

  • I love people on videos like this saying they could beat them up. Cracks me up.

Are there any other clips from this episode about other MA's?

  • For reals.

Mel is my muay thai instructor and trust me, he's bad.

None of these fools would even land a blow.

  • kick or punch watever it is u gotta have the heart and guts to fight

  • Really not much they can do against a wrestler or somebody skilled on the ground, kicks are useless once the fight goes to the ground

  • someone has to be skilled in stand up to not be knocked out so they can take someone to they ground.

  • dude you have nothing on him he weighs over 100 pounds less than you and still hits harder than you besides he aint even that hard a hitter

  • I recon you've never felt a full power knee before.

  • sinple velocidad y agilidad taekwondo itf

  • y has peleado alguna vez?...

  • who knows melchor menor? sounds like the 4th magic kings from jerusalen.

lets test it with a real fighter, buakaw for example. thats a real muay thai fighter not this imitation of Mr. Satan ( Dragon ball z ) xDDD

  • hey i heard Pac-MAn!!! aishh aish mumumumumumumu aish aish xD still i love muay tai really usefull for street fighting

    Me encanta!!!!

  • Muay Thai forever <3

  • ur a baad man!

and you got your legs kicked out by masato lol

  • man the guy cant even pronounce muay thai. and he dosent know fuck all about it. u cant stike with any part of the body. head butts are illegal and so are many other things. ive seen a few of these national geographic things and they are very ignorant about most styles

  • no dude your ignorant... old style muay thai allowed head butts... you moron... try to learn more about the sport before you talk shit...

  • wow nice you really know it

im Thai and yes they allow head butt in OLD STYLE MUAY THAI we call it "Muay Boran" มวยโบราณ

  • just saying somthing about ninjutsu to all u people say that it is only sneaking in and cutting people throat...u are full of shit, go to a class and see what it really is before u critisize it, it not like it hasnt been modernized in the hundreds of years since it was used by assassins AND gaurds.

  • ninjutsu uses pressure points and thats not really legal in ufc.its a martial art for killing not really sport fighting.

  • its not an art for killing... i did it for two years before i changed because it didnt suit my style. in no way is it an art for killing. it is an art for maximum pain and efficientcy with minimal effort.

  • you gotta wonder about these ninjutsu types.

Grown men wanting to be ninjas. They always claim that it's too deadly to use properly. So THAT'S why we never see a ninja kicking butt in any comps. Except in UFC. Watch "Patrick Smith Vs. Scott Morris," ninjutsu gets owned.

Sorry if I offend. Just pointing out what the evidence is.

  • While I respect your opinion, Ninjitsu was the art of assasination. It wasn't meant to fight against an opponent but rather to kill them as quickly as possible. They used early versions of pepper gas etc. (which they can't use in the cage). If I'm not mistaking (as I'm not a Ninja), a Ninja would prefer to sneak in and cut your throat while you are asleep. (there aren't to many good defenses against that, except not sleeping) lol

  • I know people that pratice. as soon as you walk up to them you get hit with 50 weapons, poison, and blades. if you like I can hook you up? ninjutsu is not a sport.

  • Holy shit

  • a thia fighter would mahl a ninja

  • Whether you like Melchor or not the fact is, he was asked to be on this show for a reason.

Alot of people have lost to Masato who is one of the best.Yes he loses sometimes also.

Self promotion sells and gets your attention.Alot of people said the same of Ali.

  • I dont' really like this guy much. He totally seems to be too much of himself!!!

  • I don't know why he became a big promoter when he can't even beat Masato... No offense

  • wtf is that supposed to mean? like masato was supposed to be a stepping stone or something? and hes a big promoter nbecause he's amazing at what he does. everybody has lost dude , they dont deserve to have anything taken away from them cuz of it.

  • oh yea i saw this bull shit show...in the end is said the Ninja guy was that basest martial artist on the planet...I love how it glossed over BJJ

  • it said that Ninjitsu had the deadliest moves

    smart one!

  • Muai Thai is a certain style of fighting, the arts of ninjistu include making and using poisons, incapacitating powders, incendiaries, and disguise. There is no comparison to the two.

  • i will honestly tell u i didnt heard him when i was still in philipines.

i guess all the news was on boxing

  • Shit house sound delay

  • forget the knee that kick breaking the baseball bat was scarier!!!

  • he got beat up by masato.

  • every fighter has their downside.

  • masato is an idiot not caring about blocking lowkicks...

  • some dudes can take punishment like low kicks and still continue 2 fight.

  • they can take some, but after the atleast the fifth it gets hard without blocking and still masato doesn't block them, watch his fights against buakaw and andy souwer of this year

  • How is he an idiot? He got a down from Buakaw and beat him. But hey, why don't you go say the same thing to Melchor Menor when he fought Masato? Why don't you go call that Muay Thai champion an idiot for not blocking his kicks and getting ko'd because of it?

You're an idiot you know that? Anything is easier said than done. You just called a K-1 2001 champion an idiot.

  • freedom of speech my dear friend

  • Well that was random.

So you're not going to say anything to defend your ignorant comment?

  • well if you want to:

I still think Masato is stupid for not blocking the lowkicks in the final fight although he had won the semi final through lowkicks and might have noticed that lowkicks are indeed dangerous.

  • Alright so the same thing basically should apply to this guy in the video too right? Because both Masato and Melchor Menor did try to block low kicks. At least Masato lasted three matches unlike Menor. He got kicks from Buakaw and was already hurt enough but won, then another from Artur Kyshenko and won again and finally lost to Andy. Not much fighter can last that long. Let me guess, you have no fighting experience whatsoever.

  • well okay you may be right,

    sorry ;(

  • yes but when u don't know shit don't talk comment should be have some common sense !!!

  • Interpunction ftw!

  • do you speak french! no u don't only focuse on ur self and think u can udertand another culture or a sport from another country u cock sucker self centered

  • Did u know that poeple like u were stupid enough to fallow hitler

  • Now that was random!

Did you know that people like you were stupid enough to "fallow" Napoleon?

  • haha lol napoleon nd u thought hitler wos random!! ahaha XD

  • teammenor dot com

  • hes one of the philippine's best fighter

  • jeje muay thai is really nice but you don´t now this gay for put the video on web

    cheers anyway

    jhonnyd

  • gekke shizzle for my nizzle
