@MrJmak223 The hammer, spritings, and barrel bushing all are the same. Off the top of my head I forgot all the parts that can be swapped out. There is a list in my annotation of this vid that you can cut and paist to a doc so you will have it.
Hey man, nice videos on the GSG-1911. I've had one for a few months now that I've also jazzed up a bit. It's a fun dependable gun. The fit between the barrel bushing and barrel was too loose for me, so I sleeved the GSG barrel bushing to tighten the fit. GSG I'm sure purposely leaves it loose for a cleaner slide movement. You can see where they removed material from inside the bushing. A stock Colt 1911 bushing has a slightly narrower ID. More vids please, ignore the idots. It's only youtube.
@BananaBreakable Yes, but you must either keep the original metric GSG grip screws, or replace the GSG grip screw bushings to allow standard grip screws (I have Wilson Combat Torx screws on mine.)
Also, needs to be cut for ambi safety unless you put in a single side safety.
Beautiful gun! looks awesome! every time I say to myself im going modern .45 hk/sig/glock someone like you comes along with a beautiful classic remake!
i HAVE AROUND 2500 ROUNDS TROUGH MY STANDARD UNMODIFIED GSG 1911 NOW , AND THE ONLY PROBLEM DETECTED IS THAT IT HAS TO BE HARD LOADED BULLETS, OR ELSE THE SLIDE DONT GET ALL THE WAY BACK AND PUT ANOTHER ROUND I THE PIPE . SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH. I AM DANISH. GREAT VIDEO
@vcqcfoda2 No he wouln't but his children would! You got to start them out young... rapping is a rough buisness, and _____ are broke these days. They jump you for a Tic-Tac.
how many rounds do you have through it? i really want to pick up a .22 pistol, but i don't want a ruger or buckmark. I really want to get a .22 1911, but with stories like the walther p22 flying apart after 1000 rounds, i'm concerned about .22 1911's breaking apart after a few thousand rounds.
@808Arsenal This is my first look at the gun and modifications with parts I had. We are going to take it out for some shooting in the next week. All these guns are upgraded airsoft guns basicly. If you want about 100% reliability Ruger or Browning are your best bets. This gun is for range and training. For me it is a way to get my children to learn the controles and shoot something they can handle. ATI has good customer service, but so does Smith & Wesson on the Walther.
@ChaohsiangChen It offers last shot hold open which the kimber kits don't, and I have no experience with the Chiappa. The mags for the GSG seem to be built well, but I will know more after I drop them a few times on rocks. It is all going to come down to accuracy, and my ability to remove the mag disconect.
So far it seems like most 1911 framed guns, they never come the way you need them to. If I did not have the safty and grips I would already be $400 + in it.
@OniXV250 All the controles are steel except the ambi-safty. The frame and slide are more than likely Zinc alloy given the gun does not meet the gun melt temp requrements of one of the north east states. That is just a guess, but frame and slide are not magnetic. It could be aluminum... right now with no real experience other than first impressions.
@deepee0979 That is going to be a good looking gun... VZ Grips are great. It is going to be like any 1911 framed gun you will be changing things on it.
Oh and by the way you sound like the guy from The Punisher (2004)... AMAZING!

There's a .22 1911 that you can just take off the slide and it converts into .45!!!! my uncle has it but it's been a while since i've seen him

Have you noticed that the pistol has absolutely terrible finish and can scratch too easy?

@mugsie101 It is not the best finish that is for sure...

Good vid mate. Will parts for a .45 1911 like the hammers and sears and lighter springs for them fit also? And will barrel bushings?

@MrCOOKIE1029 They are the slim wilson grips. I wish I know the exact model but I have had them for a few years.

Allow me to rephrase that. Can any 1911 grips be put on the GSG; such as ones advertised for a .45 1911?
BananaBreakable 10 months ago
@BananaBreakable yes they will fit.

I am still kind of unfamiliar with the GSG, and I was wondering what size grips it takes. Full size, compact, etc?
