I believe Kikyo was put in the story for a reason. Rumiko wanted to send a message through Kikyo, of her sadness. This is no reason to hate her, as well as no reason to hate Kagome. They are of the same soul, but different. If you hate one, you hate both. They both shared one feeling, the love for the man they loved. I like both Kikyo and Kagome, they are both very inporatant to the story.
Her ordeals were really deep; at the beginning of the season, I hated her, but as the story continues and her own story was revealed, I felt moved by her story and came to understand her more. Same with Kagura, I didn't understand her that's why I hated her at first. But knowing her story as well, I changed heart. ^_^

It is definitely Kikyo that keeps ruining things between Kag and Inu when they are close. I'm glad that in the end Kag & Inu end up 2gether!

Well... She saw it happen before her own eyes. It is because she loved him so deeply that she hates him so deeply too. If she only heard that Inuyasha betrayed her, of course believing it is her fault, but seeing it unfold before her eyes... it is hard not to believe. If you were her, would you have believed it? I might have..
For me, I think its easy to say that I wouldn't have believed it, but deep down inside, I know that if this just happened out of the blue and I see my own man just betrayed me... I don't know if I would have believed it or not... Besides, not everyone's trust is as strong as yours (;
But I think She had some trust problems with Inuyasha. Yes, she loved him but he was a half demon. I believe she deep down she believed he would betray her for the gem, it was only a matter of time. You're most certainly right. In my opinion, Kikyo only believed Inuyasha killed her because she was there, she saw it happen, she felt the bitter hatred. You were able to see the whole thing unfold and not suspect your bf of kissing his ex. However, Kikyo did not know Naraku became a half-demon, or that he transformed and wanted to kill her. If you see it from this point of view, you realise that Kikyo actually doubted inuyasha for an acceptable reason... What Kikyo saw and experienced first

It was a truly bitter fate that she suffered in the end, and to walk as a spirit forever knowing the one you love was not intended to be yours anymore...

But she changed.

Because she loves him.

Well... She saw it happen before her own eyes. It is because she loved him so deeply that she hates him so deeply too. If she only heard that Inuyasha betrayed her, of course believing it is her fault, but seeing it unfold before her eyes... it is hard not to believe. If you were her, would you have believed it? I might have..

Maybe I'm just stupid or to nieave, but I believe in the man that I love. Even if I saw it with my own eyes as she did, I wouldn't believe it.

For me, I think its easy to say that I wouldn't have believed it, but deep down inside, I know that if this just happened out of the blue and I see my own man just betrayed me... I don't know if I would have believed it or not... Besides, not everyone's trust is as strong as yours (;

Yea, I know.
But I think She had some trust problems with Inuyasha. Yes, she loved him but he was a half demon. I believe she deep down she believed he would betray her for the gem, it was only a matter of time. It's like falling for a player, you know he's going to cheat on you before long but you still get mad when it happens.
It's different for me and my BF. He's proved that he loves me and would do everything in his power to not hurt me, but protect me. He may not allways do things I like

and hell, I know I'll be upset with him every now and then, but he's only human. This isn't a fairy tail, he's not a super hero nor is he a knight on a white horse. He's human and thats how he acts. Thats why I can trust him so much. : D

haha that's really sweet. (: If one day you saw him with another lady being rather intimate, will you will trust him and not believe what you see? Because I think that because kikyo loved inuyasha as much as you love your boyfriend, the betrayal became an even larger blow, which is why she became overwhelmed with anger and hate... As the saying goes, people only believe what they see... I guess seeing it unfold before your eyes is extremely convincing. ^^ Hope you last long with your bf! =)

Depends. If I only see from the back, a photo or a video or something like that no, no I wouldn't. as for going out for lunch or dinner with a female I don't mind that much ether, it ties into his job. Some people show there thanks for a job well done that way, male and female. That does not bug me at all. One of his ex's even try'd to kiss him to get him in trouble with me, to bad I saw the whole thing unfold right?

You're most certainly right. In my opinion, Kikyo only believed Inuyasha killed her because she was there, she saw it happen, she felt the bitter hatred. You were able to see the whole thing unfold and not suspect your bf of kissing his ex. However, Kikyo did not know Naraku became a half-demon, or that he transformed and wanted to kill her. If you see it from this point of view, you realise that Kikyo actually doubted inuyasha for an acceptable reason... What Kikyo saw and experienced first

haha... Well, she (Kikyo) is better in my opinion, though many may disagree with me... I respect everybody's preference, and in the same way, there is no way to get me to change my preference ^^.

Not even, Kagome gets jealous, that is not a marysue charecter at all.
And she was born with the jewel inside of her, you have been brainwashed. Its not like she was walking one day and she all of a sudden got these powers.

I both hate and pity Kikyo. The pity part is obvious. I hate Kikyo because first, she is in the way! I want Inuyasha to go with Kagome but he can't forget about Kikyo. However, the reason I really dislike Kikyo is because yes, she does try to kill Inuyasha, and Kagome. And she also gave the sacred jewel pieces to Naraku! Her attitude when she returns from the death is unforgivable, and I just can't stand her. I wish she never came back to life.

hmmm.....i dont understand you.....of course kikyo trys to kill inuyasha and kagome but what would you do when you are full of hate and sorrow....kikyo thought that inuyasha had betray her and she only gave naraku the jewel because she wanted to kill him....it was part of her plan....and please dont forget...kikyo was the FIRST woman inuyasha ever loved.....sorry for my bad english ^^.... i am german

@Evanstar1 ok, you're definetely a kid, cause you seriously don't understand ANYTHING! kikyo gave the pieces of the jewel to naraku so when he had all of them, she could purify the entire jewel, which will kill him DUHH.
Watch ALL the eps 1st before you get silly ideas..

wen i hear this i cant help but feel an overpowering feeling of sadness. kikyo is beautiful. wen i c her in this video i cant help but feel sadness in my heart. b/c of all the pain and suffering that she has suffered in her life.

@Sangkikyo I totally agree, I mean people just keep bashing on her because she tears Kagome and Inuyasha apart. Well I personally don't like Kagome is all. But I wont hate on a cartoon preferably because I have a life just sayin ;)

This song is so beautiful, yet so sullen at the same time. I can't help but feel sadness at the first episode, due to the death that Kikyou endured. It was a truly bitter fate that she suffered in the end, and to walk as a spirit forever knowing the one you love was not intended to be yours anymore...
The music is tragic, yet beautiful just like Kikyou.
