Zune HDs are very durable. I threw one against a wall, kept stepping on it till the glass breaks. The touchscreen still works, still sensitive, still kinetic. All of the features still work. It is a really good product. The itouch feel like cheap plastic, when next to a zune. Trust me, try it with your own Zunes. :)

The best MP3 player I've used so far. Very user friendly, great design, HD radio, long battery life, excellent picture...Only issue is the sound quality is not the best. I am using mine with a philip earphone which is better than the Zune's. Also I am not sure how difficult it wil be to replace the battery when the time comes. There's no real market for it, most people have laptops for use at home, and if you mean streams to your ipod while your out, the battery would get raped, the sound quality would be horrible and it would need apple to reintroduce DRM.

you have unlimited music downloads with a zune pass. as long as you have a zune pass you can continue to play the downloaded media, after some time the player willl ask you to resync the music to renue the license.

You keep 10 songs per month, along with any music / content you had prior to installing the software, and any music / content you PAID for on the marketplace (like if you bought an album or something.)
A Zune pass is also completely optional, you don't HAVE to pay 15 bucks per month indefinitely.

I love it but I love Zunes as well, since they're compatible with the Xbox 360, unlike the iPod touch. I could definitely see myself getting a Zune HD in the near future, but the price ranges are kind of outrageous at the moment.

It's working only in the USA.

u can get to the marketplace out of america. just google "how to use zune outside america" and there should be a good link.
its pretty easy, u just have to change the regional settings on ur computer to america

Just cause M$ took a lot of ideas from Apple doesn't mean they ripped them off. Ive never known M$ to ever copy Apple or any other company for that matter. They have always been original. M$ is the perfect example of quality! When I think M$ I think visionary's. When I think of M$ cheerleaders I think of them as humans that don't know any better. Overhead ear phones are alright but make me look stupid. I'd use loudspeakers but don't want to disturb other people. And recently my hearing has lost its quality because of headphones and now they cause serious discomfort. I'm not supposed to use them anyway :/

@rhapstefan I've had my 2nd Gen iPod touch for a year and a half and it still works just as great as the day I've bought it. I love it but I love Zunes as well, since they're compatible with the Xbox 360, unlike the iPod touch. I could definitely see myself getting a Zune HD in the near future, but the price ranges are kind of outrageous at the moment.

The HD has the nVidia Tegra chip inside, which is the first mobile processor to have full flash capabilities. Expect Microsoft to have a flash update within the next couple of months or so.
