I found a pare of Houston Toads , scooped up all the eggs , put them into a small pool until they grew from tadpoles up to hundred of little toads .This was in Houston , Spring Branch area , the City dumped dirt all over the Bingle Wood Park there hang out, sometimes called Lee Park. Neighbors thought I was nuts we moved some into what little woods are left , saw many grown ones for 10 years , have not seen any types after this drought .These are easy to ID , a great Father Son project!
I live in the Houston Toad's area and have many frogs and toads calling in the spring. I will make the effort to identify and report any found. Also will make an effort to maintain a nice habitat.
