  • i know everything what he does but he moves faster than me

  • this is like star wars kid but awesome.

  • dope

  • insane !!!

  • Avatar thr last airbender?

  • 11 viewers got their asses kicked badly by this monk

  • He is very very very good, still not fluent. He rests a lot, it is not performance, it is training imo. Maybe he cannot still perform perfectly, although he trains a lot, the real skill is even more far. The whole thing could be done in 10 seconds less

  • @gulliversuniverse

in truth, we never stop being students, even masters continue seeking perfection of their art. that being said, this monk, for the most part is extremely fluent. and speed should never be without intent -- speed for the sake of speed means nothing. btw, when performing a form, there are rests. it would be impractical to run straight through the form without resting. it would be like reading a paragraph without pauses and stops.

  • shit deadliest warrior right there

  • I'm surprised he isn't hired to be a motion capture actor.

(This is a GREAT method in configuring real life moves to be used as choreography inputs, whether for film or video games.)

  • so aang is real if hes real wouldnt that mean the firelord is too? someone needs to find appa and momo

  • Cool beans!

  • 0:11 - 0:15 :: Meteor Strike -> Incandescent Blow -> Pentacle Shock -> Resonance Haze

  • I want you to train me!

  • 0:36 Think he's angry at the ground..

  • Now do some air-bending!! :D

  • Looks like aang has grown up quite a bit.

  • i want that Gi soo badly

  • awesome *_*

  • hes aang the avatar

  • Now I know where Kilik from Soul Calibur gets his exhibition from! its very similar, yes its on youtube for those looking for it!

  • Not cool without the action music :C

  • Meglio capoeira per sempre

  • True props, that staff he is using is not by any means lightweight. It probably weighs close to 8lbs or more, unless it is a bamboo ratan (just a chute).

  • @trainman238

8 lb staff? the staff he is using looks like wushu cudgel which is light. shaolin staff are heavier but 8lb? you have no understanding of weight. swords don't weight as much.

  • the wu tang sword style

  • the dust off the ground is awesome!

  • that is remarkable! i wanna learn this

  • wow hit any number and its aweosme!! 6 and 7 are awesome lol

  • 0.0 wow!...where can i get a staff from? lol

  • lol hold 3! and also 9!

  • @BboyR3C0iL Don't start a flame please, you misunderstand me, i don't hold in scant regard Kung-Fu (i think it's a beautiful martial art!) my opinion is just that this beauty doesn't bring something useful to beat every opponent...

  • @BboyR3C0iL The same is for him if he meet me...

  • 0:15 If you're under that, you're done. lmao

  • Beautiful but still ineffective against those martial arts teaching good use of weapons....

  • @TheAtlius This is true martial art tho. It hasnt been proved ineffective in real combat so your not really right.

A shaolin monk has bested a 3 times winner in chinese martial spear art so i dont see how its ineffective

  • @Zirsquishy Where i train myself in Ninjutsu i see those who learn Kung-Fu, and i can say with certainty that their spear techniques are useless against ours....but still Kung Fu is awesome! I'm not here to desecrate it, just to say that spear is not really their thing...

  • @TheAtlius Im still not sure what ninjutsu trains in, is it armed combat or un-armed? If thats the case then this is two completely different things, most un-armed martial arts have techniques to disarm their foes but most armed arts focus on not letting them give their opponent this opportunity.

  • @Zirsquishy It trains in both, unarmed and armed. I noticed that their technique was a little excessive and quie ineffective compared with ours (with spear!)

  • When people say speak softly and carry a big stick, this is who they are referring to.

  • keep pressing 3 lol

  • in 7th grade there was chinese preppy bully that i kicked his ass along with his jackass friend who tryed to jump in after i got him beaten down with my shao lin staff. except, my shoalin staff has another staff i can pull out from it incase a douchbag like him jumps in ;)

  • I can do that one.

  • so this is what munks do with a video camera awesome great job I'm learning how to fight with a staff as well its not as easey as it looks.

  • O.o I sure hope this guy doesn't become a serial killer, cuz if he does, we are all DOOMED!!!!!

  • i wanted to make jokes..

but u guys already did =[

  • this man has the potential to kill chuck norris. HE MUST BE WARNED!

  • Dude, I cant even get that combo down in a video game! Intense! lol

  • i can do dat and more

  • @kingcoon122 obvioustroller says TROLOLOLOLOL

  • that was too beautiful, i want to scram out my eyes, nothing will ever look as good

  • I think they should practice avoiding gun shot rather than avoiding punch/kick

  • Uh, how do we know that this guy is a real shaolin monk?

  • @Colafreakz , how do you know he isn't? The only garuntee any of us have is he is good as hell with this, and other weapons, and appears to be that of a shaolin monk. I don't think many people walk around trying to impersonating them.

  • @amyntage How do you know he is? I don't think he is.

  • @Colafreakz ok realistically Shaolin monks are secluded in mountainous regions and training. They do not necessarily readily have a video camera or a youtube account. I would say it is safe to assume it is not an official shaolin monk. just sayin'...

  • @Kaelshade That's pretty much what i'm thinking. Just trying to get the people who believe this shit to give me one single good reason to actually trust this guy.

  • @Kaelshade well not the fact that he is or isnt a real monk, but more or less, hes not showing you almost anything, sure he's do some cool stuff, but what about what he's doing in his body. thats what i want to know, but the only way to do that is to become one.

  • this is where avatar was born out...

  • The monk bo katas are my faverate katas!! BADASS

  • OMG he is like Avatar Ang. O_O

  • this may look simple but holy shit, i take kung fu and it is the exact opposite of simple

  • Este monje da clases en Madrid, España, en los gimnasios Metropolitano, metro Guzmán el Bueno y en el Sol Fitness de Majadahonda!!!

Su nombre de maestro en España es Shi Miaozhi.

  • im gonna hire this guy too get the neghbors cat off my lawn

  • @ichewtoast111 Unless your neighbour owns a tiger, that sounds like overkill to me. lol

  • @ichewtoast111 Save money and start learnin.. in few months you might get enough respect

  • @gulliversuniverse Thank you very much for your advice, Grandmaster! Someday you'll have to correct all those HACKS at the Shaolin Temple with your complete and utter mastery of Kung Fu!

  • Good lord. Those Shaolin Monks kick some major ass with those staffs. Wouldnt want to get that guy pissed off. I'd be beaten to death. On a lighter note, You tell that Ground who's boss!

  • Thats exactly how my sister moans in bed!

  • Call me a geek all you like, but when I saw this my first thought was, "it's Aang from Avatar!"

  • @archistrage Hahaha! Me too!

  • @archistrage The fight moves in Avatar were built off of different cultural fighting styles. There's a pretty good reason you think that...

  • i like the video, you know whats interesting is that im learning shaolin tiger bo staff form and the movements are completely different. i suppose theres different animal styles in the staff as well ? seems to make sense because the forms are applicable to the staff and vice versa. do es anyone have any info on that?

  • he is a prety good break dancer

  • Kinroko made me laugh.. HAHA.. oh sorry..

  • wtf? O_o

  • yeah, your a douche bag

  • Watch Bard Wong's moves

  • This guy sucks lol. I can do better and I'[m in highschool >_>

  • @Kinroko

If you think you can do better put a video on of you using the Shaolin Staff and i'll be happy to rate it by using this video as a comparison.

  • @Kinroko Hah idiot, I'de LOVE~ to see you do beter. You're a fucking moron. Get back to me when you do beter and post a video off it. and remeber Style and form :). Oh dont forget. If you got hit by atlest one of those strikes you'de have a broken bone. Well just trust me on that one :).

  • im scared to watch this even threw my computer lol

  • Very nice.

  • wow!...he's like an AIRBENDER! O_O

  • @SolitudeVolante That show was probably based on shaolin. I don't like that show's standpoint on martial arts though. They claim us use reference from real martial arts, but they haven't captured the essence in my opinion.

  • I know how to do this style

it's the exact same form i go through in my kung fu class

    except he does it faster

  • 5* for the unnecessary sounds.

  • damn i would of hit my head off wit dat stick and damn did u see how fast it was going

  • Whoaaa. The staff form I learned is extremely similar to this. Clearly I don't do the form as godly as he does, but I'm really surprised by similarities. o____o

  • hey Rangerhalt1 who are you talking to all i see is your comments talking to itself dude. and nice vid really good staff form amazing.

  • xD it' like multiple personalities arguing!! lol!

  • @huyhahop I talk to other people than you:P

  • Beautiful

  • Totally kick ass! I'm betting that you had many moments of hittin yourself in the shin or the face. Nice work. :)

  • LMAO

  • now that's some annoying mosquitos right there xD but seriously nice vid =]

  • kilik!!!!

  • Wow! It looks just like one of those magical Kung Fu movies where martial arts masters fly and levitate and single-handedly defeat the forces of EVIL! If someone can add special effects and enemies to this, it would probably look like an actual trailer!

  • That is real powerful come from inter body energy

  • AWESOME!

  • Lol @ the guy who said he can do this!

  • What is this form called? I know its a famous cudgel form in the Shaolin Temple, and I've seen it done by Senior Monks, alot better! This guy does it to fast, he needs to slow it down to show more power!

  • this monks are insane. i have seen monks do push ups and hand stands with only the use of they're index finger. trust me thats not something u learn in any martial art class. this guys meditate and elevate their bodies to extends we dont understand.

  • Comment removed

  • OH! ELEVATE! I'm sorry for the previous comment then.

  • @achusters1 not only that. but did u ever read up on the monks protesting during the vietnam war by lighting themselves on fire. i dunno about u but i couldn't sit there like nothings happening while my body is doing that. these guys are from another planet. its crazy

  • @achusters1 actually only to people on record have ever been able to do push-ups on a single finger, and thats they're thumb, its humanly impossible to support your body on an index finger, it'll snap

  • @123figure45

thats what i thought as well ^^

  • @123figure45 theres a video of a 94ish year old on here doing a hand stand on only his index finger, weird how impossible things are actually possible, eh bro?

  • @achusters1 yup. in fact there is one group of monks that have scientists completely baffled. i forget their name, but they can literally focus their body heat into their hands, making them hot enough to boil water (this has been proven.look it up.). they can use this to make their fighting EXTREMELY effective. it is also used in extreme cold, but on an even more extreme level--they go into meditation and increase their body heat to incredible levels. nobody knows how they do it.

  • @Telacore do u have a source on this? so that i may see too?

  • @achusters1 they dont really elevate you idiot they use their toes to balance their weight while in meditate to practice balance and dexterity

  • Comment removed

  • Then make a video please

  • @77127Shadow

The only "staff" YOU have any mastery of is your own little Macedonian penis...

  • Dude, respect others like you want to be respected.

  • lol brotherwolf05 is right he does look like aang... oh and i thought shaolin monks are defensive and peaceful he looked agressive 0-0

  • tego musze sie nauczyć

  • Dude i can better than that. CAn u do 360??? didnt see that and i can

  • he is being humble.

  • Not the best but cool

  • you go try to do this.

  • I prefer a fighting style that does not count on you having a weapon on hand when you get attacked.

  • Then you should run if anyone trained with a staff attacs you.

  • If they have that staff on them? Heh, maybe.

Then again, the chance of us both having no weapons is a lot greater than the chance of him having a staff with him.

The chance of me having a knife on me, is also greater than the chance of him having a staff on him.

Don't believe whatever any martials arts teacher or student says, an opponent confident with his knife will often be fatal to you, it's only the ones shaky in it's use that you can best.

In the end, street fights lack staffs.

  • Who learns martial arts to street fight?

Most people who learn it want to compete in legitimate competitions not kick the ass of the guy standing on the corner. Same as karate or tae kwon do.

  • Have you ever seen a kid who talks about winning competitions, instead of kicking your ass when he talks about what martial arts he does?

    I sure haven't.

In my opinion, tournaments are fine, but if it can't be used to defend yourself properly if you are attacked on the street, why bother?

  • That's strange, because actually I have seen most kids talk about winning competitions rather than kicking anyone's ass when he/she talks about what martial arts he/she does.

And if you can win competitions (where you kick trained people's asses), I'm sure you can defend yourself if attacked on the street by and untrained person. Your logic is weird.

  • Just kinda proved your knowledge of martial arts is very limited, else you would have know fighting a competition and fighting on the street are two very different things.

Moves and styles that will make you win in one will get you killed in the other.

Yes even against an "untrained" individual... the people likely to confront you are experienced street fighters, untrained as they may be, they pose a serious challenge.

  • Okay, nevermind then.

  • Actually, I train under a black belt who fought in Vietnam, is a black belt in 10 different styles, has been in and won many street fights, and still does amazing at tournaments. You may want to look at your own logic before you take it upon yourself to look at others.

  • but some times people say that because they don't have the skills to look pretty.

    power with in beauty

  • You should stop saying bullshit like that.

  • Comment removed

  • She is right you know, your knowledge seems to be very limited, again, not meant to offend you. Oh btw, Chinese Martial Arts, do not have belts, It's good to keep your pants up with them, Japanese Budo, they use belts as ranks.

  • yes, and i'm talking about Okinawan Karate right now

  • Yeah, that's what we do. I've always wondered which is better, karate or kung fu? I always get the same answer though. "It depends on the style, and the person which is representing it" lol.

  • @Oldsk0ol instead of belts they have sashes as their rankings

  • @Gratefulguitars

instead of talking to me about martial arts, talk to me about guitars.

  • @Oldsk0ol Well i know alot about both of them so i think it okay considering i made this account along time ago

  • True. But it doesn't mean you can't go to tournaments, yet I understand what you're saying. I didn't join to win medals or trophies. I joined to defend myself when needed. I don't boast. If someone asks I'll say that I'm in a very good style, (As in not Tae Kwon do) but I never go to points where it's simply ridiculous. But you're right, many young Martial Artists say that they can take on anyone at any place under any condition. which we all know is stupid.

  • @Rangerhalt1 please do not basg Tae Kwon Do there is no reason to bash a martial art when you take another because all you are doing is making yourself look bad instead of said style. We all know that any martial artist can make a martial art better or worse by the way they make it their own.

  • @Gratefulguitars I know there's places where it's good, but where I'm at all it is is flash. It wouldn't work in real life.

  • most martial arts have "flash" because most of the ones around nowadays that were made long long ago have been passed down as a dance because there was a time in history where it was illegal to perform martial arts and you would be killed for it

  • @Rangerhalt1

and your statement about it being flashy is not true when you mix tae kwon doe and aerobatics you get what is called Xtreme Martial Arts and even then if you can perform one of those most accurately like a helicopter kick *jumping 360 back heel kick* you can do a great deal of damage

  • @Gratefulguitars It can do damage but you have to remember that you have to turn on your opponents back to do that stuff. I went to a tournament in Branson, Missouri and there were Extreme Martial Artists who were doing all the flashy stuff. In sparring they tried it and when they turned their backs to do the flashy stuff we would attack them. They're useful if your opponents about to be knocked. Don't do it when the fight first begins.

  • @ Rangerhalt1 Yeah i know what you mean there that is why in my class we are taught to daze the opponent before performing anything with a spin because if we dont do it fast enough then we can get ourselves into a messy ordeal. but when it comes down to it those kind of routines will help with scoring plus it raises confidence in yourself if you can perform it correctly

  • Exactly. I joined to defend myself. Although I don't boast on the achievements I've gotten from tournaments, nor do I boast about how I can kick your behind if I wanted to. I just go along and if trouble finds me I'll take care of it as best and quick as I can.

  • Well, many join it so they can defend themselves in such a situation. Like me. I have no need to run into trouble. I trust my abilities, but I still don't want to use them.

It's funny how you read in books about great grandmasters that can do amazing things, and yet they never got into a fight. Kinda ironic really.

  • Shaolin Kung-fu includes hand-to-hand combat techiniques and weapon use. More expansive and more interesting than whatever "fighting style" you were thinking of.

A Shaolin monk would not grab a weapon if his opponent had none.

  • dude he looks like aang hahaha

  • Shaolin monks are effin badass

  • unless you have been training since you were a child, and with as rigorous training as the shaolin, i highly doubt you could spar with him. no offense, but there is honestly no where else other than the shaolin temple that you can gain the experience and technique to truly be a challenge. this isnt about speed, you can have all the speed in the world and still have no power, technique, or tactical ability to actually use it.

  • yeah dude your right im not that fast, he could kick my butt, i havnt trained for a couple months ill be back on it tomarrow, bwen de esta, cya

  • i bet this guy could tottaly kick your ass

  • i know that staff form

  • he would beat the shit out of me with dat staff...

  • seems like earthbending to me but i'm only learning so let me know what it is.... :)
