Yeah the "Smart" is small, but a few years ago it was also at Nr 3 position for number of traffic fines handed out by speed cameras. But they are mainly meant to be a "City car" not for long haul or towing. Also across much of Europe the smaller engine and low emissions mean that it is a LOT cheaper to run, and not just fuel costs, but the other costs of cars that we havem such as "Road tax" to be allowed to take it on the road at all.
It's an early shape smart so it has about 75 bhp. It has a turbo so it has more top end power. Not much torque so towing probably isn't very easy in it. Get the turbo spinning and these things are rapid. You just have to drive it right.
How pathetic.......i'd rather tow that with my F-250 and get 8.5MPG rather than get how ever many MPG that thing gets, I would be embarassed to be seen in it.

i use one of these at work and to fill it with petrol it cost me £16 i think thats like $10 and i can get 300miles+ out of it on 1 tank full
