I enjoy playing this song because it means having a fun time with other band members and it means its the 4th quarter. Some fans are getting mixed feelings because they are interpreting it from the way they feel about the song itself, which is not our intentions but is inevitable. I just hope that most people can understand why we play it. It's not, "Guys, it's Green Day"- it's "Guys, it's the fourth quarter."

Played in the Million Dollar Band at Alabama from l961 - l965 under Colonel Butler. Happiest days of my life...and I didn't even know it at the time. Went to two Orange Bowls and two Sugar Bowls. Ole Bear told the University of Alabama administration that anywhere the football team went, he wanted the band to go . Soooo, I made every game Bama played for those four years except the Vanderbilt game my sophomore year. Bear got mad because he didn't like the seats they gave the band there.

Eh, it was a good arrangement but was played terribly. The trombones sounded pretty damn good, but the trumpets were just awful. They were obviously trying to play higher than they could and were missing notes all over the place. I imagine Zach was on upper lead, I thought he was better than that.
