My Q6600 was running at 62-70 degrees C between 50 to 90% load (I'm in a tropical country) before cleaning yesterday. It was around 52-53 degrees at idle.
There was a 1cm thick layer of dust covering 70% of the heatsink when I cleaned it.
Right now, after cleaning, temperatures dropped to 53-62 degrees at 50 and 90% load respectively. Idle temps dropped to 35-45 degrees C.
Around an average of a 9-10 degree drop! Huge difference in cleaning!
@MultiChristo123 It might work, as long as it actually cools. It's probably just some extra fans built into a stand, and if you put a laptop on a stand and it gets cool air beneath it, that would be just as effective. So is it actually overheating?
@Designandrew Yeah, iknow how the cooling pad works man...
i have lots of games in my laptop and 3-4 days ago i installed assassin's creed revelations the graphics r realy awsome...and i think that thats actually th reason that my laptop is overheating.
I hae already ordered a cooling pad that looks awsome and i think that i wont have any problems now...\
@MultiChristo123 Ok good luck but a 'cooling pad' won't fix outdated hardware. Again how do you know it is overheating? It would have to be a very beefy laptop to run assassin's creed. Id say the problem is more related to a CPU and GPU that can't handle the game. Sorry.
@Designandrew man listen...i just bought a cooling pad and its working realy fine...assassin's creed is running perfect, and itsnot overheating so dont be sorry...the cooling pad works fine
@NicoCalaRyu Hey I cant remember it I lost it when I lost my old PC! I think it's a B side from the Aussie band called "Custard" They have some awesome songs check them out! Custard rock
THIS UPLOADER IS THE BIGGEST PIECE OF SHIT IN THE ENTIRE PLANET. HE SAID "I cant help but think this girl was ugly before the BP oil spill" TO A WOMAN WHO HAS MADE A FEW VIDEOS DOCUMENTING HER DETERIORATING BODY BECAUSE OF CHEMICALS SHE WAS EXPOSED TO WHILE IN A BP OIL CLEAN UP CREW.
@ptwick123 the Cu based heatpipe ones are GREAT...if you clean your CPU with T-cut or other slightly abrasive paint rejuevenator then clean off with acetone/ isopropyl alcohol before MINIMAL TIM application.
@91016099 Sorry without seeing inside I cant really help I suggest you should join a PC forum and post some pictures in the technical help section, Overclockers Australia has a tech section and they are very helpful. Also be very careful make sure you PC is unplugged while you are working on it, and you should not mess with the power supply!
ehh this isnt your video. Looks like the video about the cockroaches clogging up some guys system.

@leopower7 thats prolly not good

@Designandrew
Maybe the temperature from Speedfan was right, but this program isn´t good for watching your CPU-temperature.
I imagne when i look at my CPU-temperature and Speedfan says 127°C in idle !!!
In fact it was about 45°C and my cooler was very clean.
I recommend CoreTemp or RealTemp360.
SuperDarkroman 2 weeks ago
@leopower7 Absolutly not good mine get not higher as 35°c and i have just a normal cooler on a gaming pc
