I actually did find that the earlier UFC was more interesting, because you had many different styles fighting against each other. For example you would see a sumo wrestler vs a BJJ guy.. now that's interesting. Now what is it? Every single fighter takes the same shit.. Muay Thai, some form of jujitsu, boxing, and wrestling then they mix them all together. Whats so interesting bout that?

It is a lot different when there are no rounds for fighters to rest. Modern UFC fighters could not survive a tournament such as UFC 2.

@joeiliff I disagree, many of the old fighter had horrible conditioning. GSP, for example, fights 5 rounds against fight different big time fighters before he does his UFC fight (Rashad evans was one of them if I recall), and in training you fights fresh guys as you get tired. Honestly, back in the day you didn't have enough guys to train with to have the necessary cardio.

No,it looks alot more like street fighting because there is more you can do,and people didn't know much about fighting arts from Asia or other parts of the world. Jujitsu,deriving from the battle feilds of feudel Japan has proven one of the best one on one combat systems. Nowdays everyone knows about most the fighting styles in the world and MMA has become one style,mostly Jujitsu mixed with boxing,it's stupid now, no one comes in with anything except the same style,and put down anything else
