@GarciaCornbread 2 As I said,I played the deck from the time it was introduced to the time jace and stoneforge were banned.Yes,I agree it was a modular deck.It could fight any deck at a different angle.It DEMOLISHED Valakut Ramp,but until batterskull was released,it had clunky aggro matchups.Then Batterskull was released,and the deck really did become unbeatable cause it had a way to attack and clock the opponent as early as turn 3 while at the same time defend its jace.

Actually people,this deck was my favorite deck of the 2011 standard season.I played since right after pro tour paris up until jace the mind sculptor and stoneforge mystic got banned.The only reason this deck was so absurd was because no one in magic would put the caw-blade deck down and try something else.This deck has a lot more bad matchups than people percieve it to have.

@HadesDoomOcculta I disagree....it's a deck with so many options in the main deck. It could shut down anything it played against. The only time I lost to CawBlade was when my opponent made a mistake.

so they banned Jace TMS, but the new Jace, Memory Adept for Core 2012 is also kind of OP. also, a cheaper, yet less powerful alternative, is to buy 4 Jace Belerens, much cheaper, and pair them with squadron hawk, removal spells/counters, and equipment.

@CasparWilson Caw = Hawks Go = Draw-go for old style permission control (literally land, go. Land, go. Land, go, counter).

The deck's kinda changed since it first hit the scene. Originally it was more of a permission based control, based loosely on the U/W control decks playing Baneslayers, Wall of Omens, etc. Now it's more of an agressive, tempo based deck that also allows you to play the control deck because of Sword of Feast and Famine.

@gothikgamer Because half of the people who play use this deck now... Look at the top 8 winners at any tournament, at least 4 of them play some form of this deck and it gets ridiculous. Anyone who can afford 4 copies of Jace the mind sculptor can win with this deck. It pretty much turned magic into a game where whoever can pay up 400 dollars for a playset of Jace is the best haha I've even played against this deck at FNM
