In the two towers 2000 came with Eomer because they were the group of soldiers he was traveling with at the time, but for Pelennor they summoned every man in Rohan who could carry a wapon.

It was, but they didn't have enough time to summon every one. In the book the battle for Helm's Deep and freeing Theodens mind from wormtongue is the same day ;)

In the movies:

It took Gandalf and Pippin 3 days to ride from Edoras to Minas Tirith and that was on horse back while it only took 1 day to get from Edoras to Helms Deep plus they were on foot and had elderly and children. It would've at least took 3.

That is the only thing I can think of...

Indeed, in the movies :P Gandalf didn't travel to Minas Tirith with the army,so it isn't important. The army took like 10 days or more from the moment they knew MT needed help. While Theoden and Eomer traveled with 1000+ men to helms deep in 2 days (was wrong about it being 1 day :P). When they reached, the battle started almost immediatly, they didn't have time to get other people. And if they send some people to gather help, they would have come to late. They got help from Erkenbrand though.

Something I've always wondered about is this: In the Two Towers, around 300 Rohan people were there to defend the Hornburg not including the Elves. Then in the third movie, like 6000 came to Pelennor, why didn't those 6000 help defend Helms Deep? ... I'm assuming thats a blooper or something. Because if you think about it...why wouldn't like those other 5700 warriors come to thier King's aid? Only 2000 came with Eromer. Where were the other 4000? ....just something to think about.

well the only logical explanation that I thought of is.. they simply didn't make it in time to helms deep. You can't know about the dimensions in Rohan and they have to get ^the message first.. for the pelennor thing they would have a lot more time for preparation

I so totally agree. The actors are cute, the makeup rooms look like a ton of fun, and they love to dance. The horses look amentaly sweet (like the chestnut rubbing on viggo). I just want to join them and have fun! The music is jolly too!

I always thought Lord of the Rings should have more violent scenes, more cruelty, and chocking scenes as in reality should be in such hell on earth. Those monsters should be more stronger than they appear like children and so on... But, watching the back scenes :-p what cruelty do you expect to be imagined by those people. lol! O well, the movie remains GREAT!
