Hey languy, i noticed why u can't delete those zip viruses. I says in bold in the scan result that F-Secure can't delete/quarantine viruses INSIDE the zip-folder, so in order to delete them, u must open the folder and delete them urself. Also, u don't have to delete them 1 by 1, u can just pick them all, and delete all at once. I'm truly also annoyed by the lack of "right click and scan" option, that's just dumb.
Well, I use F-Secure 2012 and it works like a charm, I haven't got any infection since I use it, your review was good but I don't get it, I got context menu "Scan" option and the "Can't delete file error" is when u get a encripted rar.
Also check w w w.av-test.org/en/tests/test-reports/sepoct-2011/ It did very very well.
By the way No$Gba that got detected is actually a false positive, its a Emulator for DS games and most AV vendors say it's bad probably to stop people from playing DS games without buying them xD
Might there be an archive advanced setting in the program that would allow those 59 malware items to be removed? If not, this is a major flaw in this product I would say. Thanks for the review!
I've got a 2500K and can whole heartedly recommend it. The price premium for the 2600K or the upcoming 2700K just isn't worth it IMO. I went from a Q9300 to a 2500K and what a difference. You're in for a treat :-)
The lowest memory usage any security software i have used is MSE with just under 4mb! That is low and has better protection than other security suites. I was hoping to switch to F-Secure but after seeing this memory usage and not being able to remove harmful files and it's poor detection i won't be buying it!. i use high memory usage programs anyway, eg Photoshop. so having that won't help! Thanks for the review Julian!
@languy99 Mine is a Intel i7 2600k, Nvidia Gtx 580, Asrock Z68 Professional Gen3 Motherboard, 16GB RAM, 128GB SSD Sata III 6GB, 2TB hard drive, 1000W Power Supply 80Plus Silver and Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. Cost me quite a bit of cash.
@languy99 yeah and also newest VMware Workstation 8 is 64bit only, they won't make anymore 32bit versions of it, that's one of reason why you probably are buying newer rig - anyway C2D processors aren't anymore so efficient and reliable as they were before - but on i5 and on i7 CPUs you can make virtual a lot of OS-es (because they have Intel-V support). Because these CPUs are very powerful.
@laserxxxx He has at least 50 antivirus programs.... he tests them you know, that's the point. He didn't buy F-Secure, he got the trial like he said in the beginning...

If I were you, and should buy a new antivirus, I would go for Nod32. Light, detects almost everything, and scan is fast.
