  • can i hav the link on how to make this... the link from your info box wont work

  • NICE.. im trying to make my slows look like that i have the same camera.

  • what is the highest FPS the Vixia hf200 shoots in? I'm considering ordering one and this slo-mo seems to be too "slide show" for filmwork.

  • Is this the one for £79.99.

  • it looks great but it's mostly the picture quality, it's too slow for the FPS rate in my opinion

  • on another note...i just watched looked at your tutorial....and that method is rediculous....you could just buy or even download final cut express and just use the de interlace effect then slow it down...or you could save your self the trouble and just shoot in 30p with a high shutter and just slow the speed down...

  • hey do you think you can help me? i'm having problems uploading to imovie and its saying that the format is unreadable.

  • amazing stuff !

  • Can you please tell me how you shot this.

    Crk.

How did you make it overcranked?

  • @cbcnate

Slow motion in the modern context of camera testing is when you capture at high speed i.e. shoot with higher fps count, so that when you play it at normal speed e.g. 24, 23.976, 29.97, 30fps, etc every single time segment is uniquely populated i.e. no duplicates. Just shooing with below-normal fps or slowing the footage down in post does't really count, GOT IT, you clueless shit-for-brains 'tard? I won't dignify you with another reply. You come back with a comment it'll be a monolog.

  • @cbcnate

please STFU if you dont know what you're talking about ... it would only show how dumb you are..

  • Slow motion or slowmo is an effect in film-making whereby time appears to be slowed down. It was invented by Austrian August Musger. Typically this style is achieved when each film frame is captured at a rate much faster than it will be played back.

There is no law that says slow motion must be shot at a certain frame rate. Just a higher frame rate than normal. ;)

  • Does the sound work fine when you import it to Vegas Pro? Are you happy with this setup?

  • You need more frames per second to make super slow motion...

  • This is not true slow motion.

  • @cbcnate

Um.. any video that is slowed down... is slow motion..

"Slow" as in the motion of the neurons in your brain?

  • i was wondering if u can put up a video of how to upload your videos onto your pc from your canon and find them under sony vagas it would help me alot if you could

  • hey i just got the canon hf200 can u explain how to slo mo and edit the clips

  • u need sony vegas pro 9 its awsome

  • "bought" rather than "bout"

  • Purplevamp is correct about th hf20 and hf200, I just bout the hf20 due the added cost estimated to get equal storage for the hf200.

  • is the hf200 basicly the same as the hf20? i'm looking at buying one but i cant decide which.

  • @reindog107 yes it is its just that the hf200 has a flash memory and the hf20 has both flash and harddrive to save the stuff i think

  • @purplevampire11 ok thanks. how would i upload to my mac then?

  • the HF20 has 32gb of internal memory but the HF200 has no internal memory. Hope this helped. Check out my channel

  • They are the exact same, the only difference is that the HF20 comes with a built in hard drive as opposed to the HF200 which only uses flash SD cards.

  • Both the hf20 and the hf200 are the same camcorder so they both have the same quality. The only difference is that the hf20 has 32GB of internal memory, where the hf200 you would have to use an SD card.

  • how do you use slow motion in sony vegas platinum pro 9?

    someone please respond

  • @berricslove

Go to the end of the clip hover over the end like your gonna trim the clip, hold control and then stretch it. It will make the clip same length just slower motion

  • Is there a slow-motion mode on this camcorder? Like 300fps or so?

  • Wow u MADE DROPS WATER LOOK INTERESTING.........lol I'M definently Buying This camera

  • @yumikaonblast722

Its not the camera (though I own one and it is amazing) its the editing afterwards and to get this effect its a lengthy process.

  • You all seem to know alot :D I'm really curious if Sony Vegas platinum pro got this effect which can make texts or faces for example follow something in a movie. I've seen commercial about this "motion tracking" in Adobes movie edit program so i wondered if Platinum Pro or Sony Vegas has something like that. My guess is that if Vegas don't have a "motion tracking" or something like it, you just move the text in the movie each second to follow the thing it should follow? Help appreciated! :)

  • it doesn't have a motion tracking feature like after effects but you can key frame the text to move it around during your clip

  • Thanks for reply!

I figured out how to use keyframes, experimented with it in my movie "Lol damn".

I don't know how to import small stuff into the movie or how to shrink the size of the video or just cut out an area and overlay it though.

Once i do that i can probably move it around like texts!

What's the name of that? Example: Have a TV in the movie which shows a movie on the tv screen in the movie.

I just need the name of the effect or whatever it is! Thx :=)

  • HI. I have an HF200 and Vegas Pro 9. Could you tell me which max record AND render settings to set for highest quality youtube playback? a lot of different info out there, so i'm interested in your take. i'd appreciate it, thanks.

  • I'm downloading the demo for this, I can't believe how cheap the full version is!

  • Really nice!

The music is just perfect as well.

  • what settings, is this in 60i mode? thanks

  • Yes... To learn more about this type of videography, visit Eugenia's website (link posted in the information to the right).

  • @NeCubFlyer could you tell me your export settings?

  • very inspiring :). thanx for sharing.

  • great test, great vid.

  • Great video and quality. I need a couple questions answered does Sony Veags cost any money if so how much. And is it even worth it.

  • Sony Vegas is about $600. It is worth it if you know how to edit, you can do a lot more. I'll tell you its better than Windows Movie Maker

  • No normal shooter really needs Vegas Pro, only some professionals do. Vegas Platinum 9 for $70 is more than enough for 99% of the users. I own both versions, and Platinum does most of what I need.

NeCuFlyer, thanks for the link btw!

  • No Eugenia, it's I that needs to thank you for being so active in the DV forums and taking the time to post such great information... I've truly enjoyed your readings!

And you are correct... Vegas Platinum Pro 9 is a very robust editing program (with a fairly steep learning curve) and will do more than what most people are needing. Once you become proficient with the program, you can pretty much make it perform like its more expensive big brother!
