Ben Askren is a Lucky man that Hornbuckle had a shitty gameplan. Askren is the most overrated, boring fighter in Bellator. Even more so than Joe Warren. There needs to be a match between Warren and Askren, where both fighters must die at the end!

Heh, guess you were wrong. Askren is constantly improving and will only continue to improve. He's like a younger, smaller, more explosive Brock Lesnar. Only with a much, much larger learning curve.

A simple flash in the pan, you'll see when he faces real competition (don't know why Hornbuckle couldn't get the W, sometimes that's just how it is).

The key to this submission was Hornbuckle's left leg : by controlling the head position (note his foot under Carl's armpit), he was able to secure the lock and force the tap.

Also, that vid before the match that had Hornbuckle talking about that kid was very touching. Almost had me in tears. Especially when Dan said "I'm not anybody but this kid thinks I am" or something close to that.

Bellator needs to get their shit together...i turned into last nights program hoping to see Dan Hornbuckle fight (Joe Soto as well). The TV ads said Bellator would start at 8pm, but didn't start until 830pm on FSN. Finally came on and the first fight was Askren Vs. Thomas and during that fight they announce Hornbuckle had already fought and won. I was so fucking pissed off. Damn fight already happened and I found out the result before actually getting a chance to see it. Clowns.

@ionredline2006 i figured it was a regional programming issue...damn Red Sox game was playing @ the time. Still an issue that needs to be addressed. Dan Hornbuckle shouldn't be fighting early in the event anyway...i think he's developing into a serious headliner.

It's not Bellator. It's FSN. I'm on the West Coast at it was suppose to be at 11pm for me. There was baseball from around 6 to 9. Game was over but they spent about 30 min with post game wrap up. Then they showed a replay of a Soccer game that happened earlier in the day. That went until 11:45 or so. Then they showed Bellator. If there isn't anything else going on then they tend to show Bellator Live for me but that doesn't happen very often.

Also, I like Baseball and Soccer but damn man. If one of them is not a live event then don't show a replay. I think it was a couple of weeks ago that an Angles game was on from 5 to 8. Immediately after the game, they showed a damn replay of it instead of Bellator Live. It's crazy. If Bellator had more influence, I'm pretty sure they could fix this but right now they are still small time.
