That was really great! I have a cockatiel chick I got a couple of days ago and it is biting me all the time. He is only 8 weeks old so it doesn't hurt, just pinches, but I fear that if he persists this behavior as an adult, it will hurt. He does not give any signs of biting and appears to enjoy it a lot. Is there anything I can do, or is it just the personality? I would really love to have a bird that would play with me sometimes.

We are lucky our budgie does not bite, and never has (except the lips at the very beginning when we taught him to "kiss"): when he is "against" something, he goes into a veritable little temper tantrum, squeaking loudly and stomping his feet! We get the message!
